lovely set up place looks aesthetically pleasung to the eye, however do not be fooled. It is overpriced muck. £9.60 for ‘cajun’ chicken pasta and chips, not a single bit of cajun near the pasta nor the chips. thank you i will not be backk

As a family, we visited The Bacas after doing a lovely hike in Ness Glen on 21st October 2022. When we arrived at lunchtime, the place was busy with emergency services staff who clearly use it regularly. We had a lovely lunch. The food was freshly prepared and of really great quality. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Thanks for a lovely visit. We will be back

We stopped in here on my 1st road trip to Scotland from Cornwall.....With my husband being gluten-free and me not eating meat we were a bit of a pain for breakfast but the people in this place were extremely accommodating and we both enjoyed a delicious breakfast at a very good price. We also noticed how kind the staff were being to a gentleman who was eating there before us. If we weren't so many miles away we would most definitely return.

We popped in for a quick bite and were so impressed with the fresh tasty food on offer. I had a chip roll - it was a very generous portion and the perfect vegan choice! There was lots on offer on the menu and the whole cafe was nice and clean with excellent social distancing measures in place. If you find yourself in Dalmellington you must give The Bacas a go!

We have been meaning to order a home delivery meal forvsone time following friends recommendations. We ordered beef olives and chips that were delivered and mixed vegetables came with the order. We were so well impressed that we have recommended to our own family to try something from their huge variety of meals. We shall certainly arrange home deliveries again

My son spotted this wee gem on Google on our way to Dumfries. We stopped in and ordered fried breakfasts for everyone (up until 11.30). Despite fussy wains wanting to add and swap various options which they did happily we all got a fabulous meal. Great portions and value for money. So stuffed we couldn't even sample the delicious looking cakes we had our eye on when we came in. Got really busy around 12.00 with lots of customers coming in and taking away food too. Obviously a popular wee place which we'll remember in the future.

Delicious starters followed by pink roast beef. Speedy staff. I think an open log fire would add to the ambiance, especially with cold weather coming up. Every country pub should have one!

The steak pie was delicious and a very generous portion. I should have got a certificate for finishing off the Eton Mess - wow, just about finished me off! Huge. The roaring fire and a lovely black Labrador were both what a great pub should have. Will be back.

Came here for a quick bite after doing some of the Burns Trail in Mauchline. With the social distancing in place, there's no sit in and the cafe only serve food from the front door. The menu is very much traditional British foods, so you'll not go wrong if that's what you're after. Even though the staff were only serving through the front door, they're still friendly and welcoming.I got myself a Jaffa Cake and a Latte. The former did indeed taste like a Jaffa Cake (biscuit), although it was a bit too sweet. The latte was decent. Not sure about all the 5 star ratings, but it was decent food and I give it an extra star because the prices here are very keen.

We visited The princes Cafe & Coffee Shop again today, five of us. I had the famed all day breakfast, friends had Chicken Tempura, Spicy Macaroni with chips. Everything was excellent, service & food. Cost us £44.00 for FIVE of us. Will be back next week for sure.
