The best restaurants in South West Scotland

We went as a group of 7 and each of us had a lovely 2 course lunch. Will definitely return and recommend

Fairly basic menu at above basic prices. Service was slow. Food was OK, but no more than that. Fine for a quick coffee and to take the weight off your feet if youre in the area or at the musuem, but wouldn't go out my way to go there.

We absolutely love the pizza here. It is always made fresh with a thin crispy base and soft gooey toppings. Can’t wait to try other items on the menu!

Been Dining Here for a year now. Delia and Antonio serve the best pasta in Scotland. He is an Excellent chef. Great service.

Not even been delivered had to order from somewhere else.

Excellent service and amazing food as always

This was our first time at this restaurant and l can honestly say this was the best meal we have had in ages, no long wait, food was piping hot, the staff were superb, even putting anniversary balloons up on our table, very reasonable pricing for a three course meal, lovely atmosphere, no issues l will be back soon, first class.

I was actually here after a funeral at local crematorium but food & service was amazing. Staff excellent.

This is our favourite pub when visiting Largs. They do 1/2 portions on certain menu mains. It was exceptionally busy but they got us a seat within 10 mins. and our order taken very quickly. Highly recommended

The Weston Tavern is everything you could want from a local pub – warm, welcoming, and totally community-centered. We had the pleasure of visiting today during the Kilmaurs duck race, a brilliant charity event that brought the whole village together. The atmosphere was electric – families lined the burn cheering on their ducks and the pub was at the heart of it all. After the seating area was packed with locals enjoying the sunshine, great food, and cold drinks (check the photo – the vibe speaks for itself!). It was incredibly family-friendly – our little one had an absolute blast, topped off with an ice cream and a big smile to match (see photos) The staff were friendly and on-the-ball, and the whole place just radiated that rare sense of community spirit. Whether you’re stopping by for a pint, a meal, or to join in with a local event, The Weston Tavern is the place to be. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Popped in for a few drinks it was very busy with a lovley atmosphere. They were very busy with food and it did look very nice hence the 4 stars. Beer was a fair price too. Very nice.

Had a lovely dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The staff, food, service and ambience were all excellent and we look forward to returning soon.
