Thought it would be a quick stop en route to the ferry but shivered for 20 minutes in the car park for our breakfast rolls. Square sliced and onions tasty enough but (instant ) coffee was rank. Never again.

Great recommendation from our Airbnb host for very tasty breakfast butties before our long drive home. The steady flow of customers at 9.45am reaffirms the quality and value offered.

We've been stopping at Dave's for years each time we travel to AND back from Portpatrick...nearly once a month. We time right to get there to get there for lunchtime...it's part of the journey and something to look forward to. Homemade soup is the best ever (the chicken rice or the mushroom is my favourite) and the salad rolls are always freshly made with a fantastic choice of fillings. Breakfast & Lunch times very busy but definitely worth the wait, shows just how good it is, popular stop for the bikers travelling the A77. They have a great menu choice, and everything is cooked to order, all at a good price too. Views are amazing looking onto the Ailsa Craig and the Kintyre Peninsular beyond. Keep up the good work everyone...we'll be back soon!!

A quick stop off for a sausage and onion bap... all for the princely sum of £2.25... An absolute bargain for a quality product!

Fabulous choice of foods and drinks both sweet & savoury to suit all. Bacon rolls that had the right bread to filling combination. Absolutely delicious and very popular due to it being a wee gem.

Good food well served, its little wonder that they are always busy. Food is freshly prepared so not great if you are in a hurry!

Appalling service. Asked for a square sausage roll and a double egg roll as I'm vegetarian and a tea and a coffee. Served us a double sausage ans a single sausage roll. Returned from car to complain. They said they'd rectify and asked for the rolls back. (To reserve?) We got in car again and bit into them only to my horror to see again sausage in both and STILL NO EGG!!!!! I BEGAN WRETCHING HAVING JUST HAD SASUAGE IN MY MOUTH! Took back and demanded refund. She argued repeatedly we has asked for sausage and not egg so we had to show her receipt to which she stopped arguing. Mean while the CUPS HAD BOTH BEGUN TO LEAK!! (see pic) she offered to try a 3rd time to get it right but just demanded refund. What a pair of idiots in there can't follow simple instructions. Avoid if you want good food.

Spotted this establishment whilst travelling South to Stranraer and thought we would give it a try and boy were we surprised with the quality of the food and the service. The young girl that served me couldn't have been nicer. We sat and ate our food in the car as the weather was very poor and we couldn't believe how many people pulled up in the car park and visited this place. We will definitely stop there again in the future, well done to all concerned.

What a find! Wouldn’t recommend the burgers, bit oily but the filled rolls! Breakfast rolls and toasted were amazing. Lovely service by all the young ladies, great system where we ordered, then waited to the side. Beautiful setting.

Aside from at a festival, I've never seen such a queue for or a snack bar when we arrived at 1pm. We ordered bacon cheese burgers and bacon rolls, which were as good as you would expect from a small bar and the cakes which were also pretty good.

I love going to this little snack bar, it's at the far end of girvan beach, theres plenty of parking and toilets available. It's always fairly busy but the food is good and cheap. We love the toasties and hot rolls and service is always...

Went here with some friends after working up an appetite swimming. Food was absolutely stellar and all staff gave an excellent service with a smile. Great range of food and very accommodating to dietary needs, it can be a struggle to find somewhere with as many options for dairy/gluten free diets. 10/10 will definitely be back regularly.

Visited The Strawberry Cushion late morning. It was extremely busy but a very pleasant lady asked us to wait a few minutes while she cleared a table for us. Coffee and cakes were delicious. Extensive menu, very reasonably priced. Lovely clean cafe with friendly, helpful staff.

We travel every summer from Norfolk to see my parents in Ayrshire. We always come to the coo shed fro lunch and are never disappointed. The place is lovely, staff are so lovely, food is fabulous. The cakes are to die for. I wish we had a coo shed back home.🫶

This is a real hidden gem. Set off the beaten track it takes a bit more effort that some of the more bouge cafes in Troon, but if you're looking for honest food and a fair price in a cafe you can get a seat in....its well worth the extra 3 min walk.

Went here for breakfast, before getting the train. After checking out previous reviews, we were pleasantly surprised. Good food, freshly cooked to order. Staff are also willing to swap if you don't like certain items. Only thing I didn't like was, the toast comes buttered. Friendly staff & decent price. Will definitely visit again.
