We live locally and just popped out for a woodland walk followed by a hot drink and a cake. The lemon and elderflower cake was so light and flavourful. Lovely selection of homemade sweet treats. You must visit if you're in the area.
Crispy battered Haddock n Chips Yum Yum fat tum.
Future golf trips will be using Freddies in Banff rather than Wetherspoons in Fraserburgh.
I usually send an e-mail review of our golf trips including best and worst Golf Courses and best and worst food to all places we visit. Unfortunately I cant find Freddies e-mail to tell them they were voted the best.
Visité por primera vez ayer temprano por la noche. Nos hicieron muy bienvenidos por dos mujeres encantadoras. Nos guiaron a través de nuestras opciones de menú. La comida era deliciosa y disfrutamos de la vibrante decoración y la música.
Waitress greeted us as if we'd trailed in dog dirt on our shoes.
'Sit anywhere' face of thunder demanded with a dismissive flick of her wrist.
Then off she thumped through the swing doors to the kitchen. 'That's anither two in' she barked.
That was when we decided to depart. Avoid this place, the welcome is atrocious.
We stayed in lodge not far from this hotel and after reading that our host recommends this place for a meal we decided to give it a go in our last night.Food was delicious and portions were really generous. Thai green curry was outstanding, lots of flavour and nicely presented. All staff were super friendly and nice.
Have used the saddlery many times, but this time very disappointing, feel the quantity and the quality of the food, was no where near as good as previous visits, no ham on the savory menu...not everyone likes salami and other charcuterie...also asked for scones with the savory, prepared to pay,but they didn't have any, spoilt what should have been a lovely 70th birthday treat
Une cuisine innovante et originale, une très bonne ambiance. Il est préférable de réserver une table. Surtout essayer le haggis revisité, je ne me souvient pas du nom du plat mais sous forme de croquettes avec une émulsion de pomme de terre ! Incroyablement bon... Les autres plats aussi sont excellents.
Riverside cottage cafe, Crannach house, Cambus o May, Ballater AB35 5SD Scotland, Scotland
We visited this Cafe after a long walk in the forest.
Dogs are welcome inside the cafe. Inside there is a log burning stove, which was very welcome, the cafe had a nice rustic feel they do there own baking and my wife described the scone as the best she had. The coffee was lovely. We had visited the Cafe at the Cheese makers across the road which was very nice but had to sit outside with the dog. We will certainly be back here, probably for a lunch next time.
