Looking for somewhere new to have a cuppa we came across Loaves & Fishes. After our experience we’ll be making many more visits. It’s not a very big space, but there’s plenty of room between tables. Very friendly and efficient staff ( I think all volunteers). We ordered the freshly made pancakes, which were light and delicious with homemade jam ; coffees were generously sized and flavoursome. All at very fair prices. A wee gem.

Having moved into the village at the end of last year, we had been dying to visit loaves and fishes however, with it being closed at the weekend we had to wait until we were on holiday. Best view in the village and the food and service matched. We both had soup and sandwich deals which were reasonably priced and tasted great. Then had coffee and cake which was good. Staff very friendly and the price was very good for what we got. Would definitely return.

We found this place by accident and it was excellent. There was "eating and drinking" in the home made soup - it was what I call SOUP! Tasty sandwiches and very well priced. It is church based and the pleasant staff I guess were volunteers. Lovely views to Bennachie and the hills. Highly recommended.

Went here with the family after a request from my dear old gran. This is basically a church cafe, the culinary range is short and so it should be. For a quick hearty homemade soup and sandwich with lovely friendly ladies it's quite ideal.

This is some of the best value for money in the area. the food is all freshly made to order, there is home made soup of the day and they are very child friendly. I take my young children regularly and we are never disappointed. The staff are all volunteers and the cafe is run as a not for profit part of the local church community so we get lunch for 3 for about £10! (the pancakes are particularly good!)

Great place for sandwiches, soups and home baking. Visited recently with extended family and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The chocolate fudge cake was so light yet moist and the strawberry sundaes got the seal of approval from all who tasted them.

If we go just my the menu, I would rate this poor, but it's not trying to be a posh cafe serving large groups. What it is is a little café attached to the church hall that is open on part-time hours, operated by really nice and friendly local volunteers. It's a peaceful and calm place that you can have a sandwich, coffee and cake without a worry in the world. The quality of what they give you is good, the price is reasonable and what they do, they do well. The staff clearly want to be there and it makes such a difference, espeically in such a small café. I'm not a christian and you don't have to be - I'll be going again.

The Loaves and Fishes is a coffee shop run by volunteers behind Kemnay Church. It is situated on a hill above the town and the cafe has beautiful views across the valley. The menu is limited but includes home made soup and a selection of sandwiches both plain or toasted. There is a selection of drinks and the cakes are homemade. The cafe is spotlessly clean and very chiild. friendly. There is a lovely walk along the river and now that we have discovered this lovely cafe, we no longer have to carry a picnic.

A wonderful lunch we did not plan the visit and they were able to accommodate us. A great choice was available to meet a variety of needs. We opted for the fritters (black pudding and haggis) as a starter to share. This was delightful. The main courses were equally good with mother in law having beef lasagne whilst the Hunters chicken beckoned me. Well worth a trip

We are now regulars at the Seafield Arms as it is so good. It was my birthday and where else would we go for a special meal. This time, we tried the surf and turf block. We were not disappointed as the seafood and steak were cooked to perfection. As well as the fresh local vegatable selection. The hotel manager had to get up at 4am to get the lobster. That is dedication to perfection. Our friend had a sirloin steak, cooked to her satisfaction. Our daughter had the mac and cheese and was more than happy. The girls finished the meal with sticky toffee pudding and creme brulee. Yum Yum. The service was professional and very friendly. We have a concern, what will we have to eat the next time as it is all so good.

Lovely little cafe, run by volunteers. We went in for a light bite. They have a gluten free selection, which is ideal as Mrs B is coeliac. Tea came in a real tea pot 😊 Food was really tasty and reasonably priced, service very friendly. I thoroughly recommend dropping in.

This venue has sadly burnt down. However we stayed at the Braemar Lodge Cabins and they were absolutely 5 star
