This restaurant/hotel was closed for a while and this was our first chance to visit since it reopened. The service was excellent as was the food. Good restaurants seem to be few and far between nowadays. All we get are national brands, so its good to see an independent offering a great night out.

Excellent cooked breakfast. Tasty and perfectly cooked. Never disappoints. Friendly staff. The scones are the best.

My wife, who had been here before with a friend, suggested that we pop n for afternoon tea/coffee. I was impressed with the service here and the scones were very good. The Stitch House is not only a cafe but a community hub. They provide an outlet for the sale of local crafts which are well displayed, not only in the shop but also in the cafe section. On entering the cafe section, there is a small kiddies' play area to the left. They also provide a Youth Cafe on Friday and Saturday evenings where the youngsters of the village can meet in a safe environment. I was really ipressed with these premises and will certainly be back.

Amazing experience. Staff were very attentive, professional and friendly, I can’t compliment them enough. Food and drinks were fantastic, we went for the Thursday night supper club, where you get a set menu. All the courses were delicious, I especially enjoyed the main course, escalope of chicken with a Parmesan risotto. Everything cooked perfectly and we even got a photo with the kilted chef himself. It’s a shame the place is closing at the end of September however, we were so pleased we went and will have a fantastic memory to reflect on. I wouldn’t hesitate if you are thinking of booking. Do it before it’s too late.

One of our favourite places to while away some time on a lazy Friday afternoon. Cosy, friendly and a happy wee place. The food is always exceptional. I had croque madame, but with Lucasz's Polish flair of course. The most beautiful smoked pastrami and home made secret sauce, cheesy bechamel and pickles. Traditional fluffy Christmas sponge cake and tea. It's a warm and welcoming place, come rain or shine. Edyta is an impeccable host. She and her husband Lucasz make a perfect team

From the minute you step through the door you’re at ease with the ambiance of the place and friendliness of the staff. When booking let them know of any dietary requirements as the choices are unbelievably wonderful. I’m GF and DF and enjoyed every mouthful and of course a couple of cocktails 🍸 doesn’t hurt 🥰 will be back very soon x

I have been racing Karts and Cars since 1991 and was looking for a kart track that actually lets you have a feel of the actual sport. I’m leaving this review because we had the most enjoyable authentic karting experience that it’s possible to get without having your own kart. I came here with my 11 year old son, he’s done some karting before but not in the wet. It was raining heavily, and the karts are on slick tyres = fun! This is the exact experience that trains young person. We have a briefing, get wet suits on and get in (contrary to another reviewer I just read, NO karting EVER requires a damn fireproof racesuit, he knows nothing of the sport). 45 minutes of skidding and power sliding around, my son spinning out a lot but loving it and learning lots, with the supervisor on the quad to get him back on track. A shame there’s no lap timing, other than a stopwatch, but without a doubt this is the place you come to have a thrill, a great track, fast karts, not over sanitised and boring, unlike the indoor electric karts which are slow, have traction control and are spreading like a virus into the sport of karting.

We’ve been to Morris’s hotel (Jock’s) many times for supper, we thought we’d give it a try for breakfast and although we were told we didn’t need to book, we decided to book ahead - on hindsight, I’m not sure if this was a good idea as they knew we were coming and got the impression that the breakfast items were probably precooked prior to us ordering them. We all had the full breakfast and two pots of tea were ordered, one to come whilst we were waiting for our breakfast and the other to come later when our breakfast arrived. Both came at once , and we had to ask for a pot of boiling water, breakfast when it came wasn’t anywhere near hot enough but plenty of it, no marmalade for the toast and had to settle for jam. I wouldn’t return for breakfast, there were four of us and we were the only ones there until another couple arrived as we were leaving, I would return for lunch or supper but need to improve greatly on their breakfast.

Lovely little cafe, run by volunteers. We went in for a light bite. They have a gluten free selection, which is ideal as Mrs B is coeliac. Tea came in a real tea pot 😊 Food was really tasty and reasonably priced, service very friendly. I thoroughly recommend dropping in.
