We are frequently tempted to try other Indian restaurants in the area however any time we've done it, inc Aberdeen, we always regret it. Spice of Life has been the best restaurant in the area for some time now and judging by our most recent visit will hold the title for a while yet. Our meal last night was perfect in every respect. We were a 4some and seated in a booth, had a degree of privacy. Starters of a chicken tandoori, a mixed platter and chicken panoramic arrived quickly and beautifully presented as we've become accustomed to, it all tasted just as good as it looked, fantastic. Mains were chicken Chettinade, Dahnsak, Jalfrezi and Bhoona were all stunning, a pilau rice, coconut rice, peshwari and Masala Naan completed the feast. Empty dishes and plates told the story... Great value, efficient and friendly staff, on site car parking make a fantastic experience. We might continue to try other restaurants, we will always return here.

Stayed over after a car breakdown and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Had a lovely chickpea and spinach curry and the full breakfast next morning was top notch. Room was clean and cosy with large flat screen TV. Would happily return. Thanks guys

My wife, who had been here before with a friend, suggested that we pop n for afternoon tea/coffee. I was impressed with the service here and the scones were very good. The Stitch House is not only a cafe but a community hub. They provide an outlet for the sale of local crafts which are well displayed, not only in the shop but also in the cafe section. On entering the cafe section, there is a small kiddies' play area to the left. They also provide a Youth Cafe on Friday and Saturday evenings where the youngsters of the village can meet in a safe environment. I was really ipressed with these premises and will certainly be back.

Amazing experience. Staff were very attentive, professional and friendly, I canât compliment them enough. Food and drinks were fantastic, we went for the Thursday night supper club, where you get a set menu. All the courses were delicious, I especially enjoyed the main course, escalope of chicken with a Parmesan risotto. Everything cooked perfectly and we even got a photo with the kilted chef himself. Itâs a shame the place is closing at the end of September however, we were so pleased we went and will have a fantastic memory to reflect on. I wouldnât hesitate if you are thinking of booking. Do it before itâs too late.

Weekly special was Excellent and great value st ÂŁ6. The same can't be said for the jumbo haddock supper. Whilst it was nice. There was a single layer of chips in the box that actually meant it was less than in the special!! And the haddock fish was a bit on the small side. Not worth the ÂŁ12+ this cost. Would have been 5 star. But the haddock was a real dissapointmrnt so -2* for that

Methlick Pub is a charming, traditional Scottish pub located in the heart of the village. It offers a cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and a great selection of food and drinks. The menu features hearty Scottish dishes, with generous portions and fresh ingredients, while the drink selection includes local ales and a variety of spirits. Service is consistently praised for being warm and attentive. The pub also hosts regular events, like quiz nights and live music, adding to its lively vibe. Whether for a casual pint or a meal with friends, Methlick Pub is a welcoming spot for both locals and visitors.

Our family of nine enjoyed lunch here today. Good food at reasonable prices in pleasant surroundings. Helpful friendly staff. We've been before and we'll be back.

No hair nets hats worn in food preparation area. No gloves worn either No Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate Displayed Just poor food hygiene, I don't think none of the staff in the coffee shop are even qualified to work in the kitchen in the first place. I would avoid unless you want some ones hair on finger nail in your food. Best avoid

Lovely little cafe, run by volunteers. We went in for a light bite. They have a gluten free selection, which is ideal as Mrs B is coeliac. Tea came in a real tea pot đ Food was really tasty and reasonably priced, service very friendly. I thoroughly recommend dropping in.
