Family meal for birthday. Sizeable menu with loads to choose from. Food was lovely with no complaints from anyone. Nice decor. Staff were all very nice. Definitely going back

We were seated, the girl who seated us was friendly and welcoming. Got our drinks pretty quickly, about as quickly as the waitress ran off without taking our food order. We sat for 20 mins, with our menus closed, watching staff take other table's food and drinks orders, that had arrived after we had. It's a shame, it wasn't fully booked out, and I'd honestly say they looked to be over staffed for the number of tables in this venue, I'm surprised nobody gave us a second glance, besides the other tables, who had noticed we weren't being served. We actually had staff glance at us and one pair point over to us in conversation. Confused why we weren't being served so we just left. We're both fellow restaurant and bar supervisors at our own place of work, we know how it can be in a place of hospitality, but I didn't observe any reasons for being neglected. Your menu looked fantastic though. Maybe next time.

In the restaurant it has a nice and cosy atmosphere , the food is really good, it has really nice and friendly staff , I love it ❤️ I recommend with trust..

Visited with family for lunch on my wife's birthday. 5 adults and 1 child, we ordered from both the Sunday roast menu and the Festive menu. The food was both plentiful and delicious served by friendly and attentive staff. Our second time there and won't be our last.

Perfect stop off on our trip to Peterhead FC. We had prearranged soup and sandwiches, which were not only delicious, but they couldn't give us any more if we tried. Kept refilling the soup bowls and coming round with sandwiches. The White Horse is now a MUST for this trip. I have 1 or 2 supporters who only book this trip in the season because of this. Huge thanks to Mario and his great team. Can't wait for our next visit, later in the season.

Came here with family. We are From Nottingham and the food we ate was the best that we had in a long time. We would highly recommend anyone considering eating here. We will definitely be back when we are in the area.

Just had our 22nd wedding anniversary meal here after having our wedding reception meal here. WOW, what can I say, food fantastic, service even better, we will definatlay be making this a regular haunt for a meal, a drink or even just a sociable night out

We have had a fantastic weekend here, the food was unbelievable service so good we are returning again next month for another weekend break so we will recommend this hotel higher than anything else local to here. and more price worthy than others for service and friendliness what a great getaway from our busy lives worth a a visit to meet mario and his staff thank you MARIO

The White Horse Inn was always a firm date night favourite back when it had been previously open, so thought to go back and try it and we weren't disappointed at all. I cant speak highly enough of how lovely the owner & staff are: so friendly & bubbly and really do make the place something special. They have such a varied menu from curry and thai noodle dishes to your favourite burgers & chicken goujons, there really is something for everyone. If you love a big portion, look no further than the White Horse Inn... the servings are really generous and taste as good as they look without breaking the bank! The White Horse Inn is definitely worth a visit even if your from Aberdeen or further afield, if your fed up of the usual restaurants and want something a bit more special and family run then don't forget about a trip to Balmedie!

What a wonderful friendly hotel. Mario goes above and beyond and made me the best porridge. I will be returning again to stay here. I highly recommend this hotel

Great to see it open again. Just in for a quick drink, dog friendly as. Our regular for a meal out now with wide choice all of top class quality.

Service here is top class, this place may not seem like much, but the hospitality and service here is what other bigger and more expensive place could learn a lot from. Thank you for a nice stay.

On holiday in Scotland from overseas. Came in and asked for a haggis dish, which I cannot get at home. Received the best pizza of my life with haggis, jalapeños, bell peppers, onion and arugula. A meal I will never forget! Wasn’t on the menu, the gentlemen working just offered to make it when I asked if there were any haggis dishes. Unbelievably kind. Also received a great drink recommendation. Grateful to have visited the White Horse Inn and stopped into the restaurant! Wonderfully kind staff!

Had lunch here with friends,food was delicious,lots to chose from, freshly made, served piping hot and served with a smile.will definitely be back.

One of the best meals experienced in Aberdeenshire for a while, would thoroughly recommend a visit there, a friendly team delivering good food and great service.

Great experience at this hotel. We spent one night there after riding 500km on a motorbike. We were made very welcome and had a good rest. The rooms are clean. The only downside is that there isn't much pressure in the showers. Nevertheless it was the best hotel of our trip.

A small inn with a restaurant and a bar. The rooms are renovated and absolutely fine. Very clean and with everything you need. What should be highlighted is the incredibly nice service. It's really unbelievable how friendly we were received. We were even more impressed by the child-friendly nature. Thank you very much for that! The breakfast was delicious and all wishes were catered for. What you can note: the water pressure in the shower was very low but you can then take a bath. Thanks again and fullest recommendation!!!

My wife, my son and myself went to the Whitehorse for a meal on Tuesday evening as it was my son Jason's birthday. A great meal as usual was provided by Mario and his team.

The rooms and hotel have been all upgraded. The accommodation is in a separate 2 story building. Very quiet and roomy. No hard floors so my dog was very comfortable. The food restaurant side is dog free but you can eat in the bar if the dog is with you. The food is very tasty and filling. Good prices too. We would definitely stay again.

Cullen skink soup and fish were amazing highly recommend

My sister & I stayed for one night for a birthday party. I had called ahead to confirm our room type & spoke to a very helpful and friendly staff member who I think may be the owner! He was lovely. On arrival we were shown to our room & helped with bags. Room was a family room: spacious, clean, bright with a double & one single bed. The room was very comfortable & we had a great sleep. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant & breakfast the next morning. Staff were great!

First time back since it opened. Had lovely meal and the service was excellent and staff so friendly and attentive. Food excellent and prices very fair. Will definitely be back.

Had a fantastic family meal. Kids meals were huge and kids left stuffed. Sunday roasts were superb. Staff were very attentive. We were very impressed, and will be back.

Lovely restaurant, food was brilliant

We were a party of six and went here for lunch. 1 girl serving, very good and helpful. Food was very good but surprisingly not many others there for lunch. We all enjoyed our meal and cost was reasonable. Hopefully we will go back again when some of our group who missed it will be able to come along too.

Stopped off here mid-afternoon for a light snack purely by chance today after a visit to the beach and it was so nice we ended up having a 3 course meal. The food is quite traditional, nothing too fancy, but it was all very tasty and obviously prepared with skill and attention to detail. What made the experience far above average was the attitude of the staff. They were cheerful, attentive and efficient (and funny 😀). Will definitely return next time we're in the area.

We have been a few times at the Whitehouse in Balmedie and every single time we have enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The quality of the foot served is great, everything is fresh and very carefully presented. The service is fantastic, everyone is very attentive and caring. Big thanks to Mario and the team. We will be back for more.

We have now eaten twice here, 2nd time we brought friends with us for my birthday. Service was amazing and the food doubly amazing! I have a weird random food allergy of peppercorns and staff bent over backwards to help and accommodate with this. Wee update.. the lovely waitress has just come over with a complimentary bottle of fizz because it’s my birthday. Thank you so much guys. Please please give the White Horse Inn a try.

Terrible service, went in there with a friend to catch up, unfortunately we were greeted by no one, took a seat and a women with an English accent came over to ask if we would like to eat, or anything to drink, did take her a good ten minutes? The food was okay, it did take them twenty minutes to clear after we finished, no questions asked if we enjoyed our meal or not, or we would like another drink? So we just ordered a taxi up to the Cock&Bull, and the service was great, so was the dessert and after dinner drinks. Unfortunately I have to give a star but the customer service doesn’t deserve one at all.

With the completion of the Aberdeen bypass, it has become a lot more tricky to find this place as you sail past Balmedie. I first came here in 1981, and continued sporadically until 2003, so this was my first visit in 16 years. Of course it looked very different from what I remembered. There was only one other table occupied, so the staff were always alert and I didn't have to wait for anything. There was a general menu and some specials. Prices for most dishes ranged from £11 - £14, with desserts about £5. I opted for a baked potato, which was nothing to complain about, but I've been more impressed in other places. I then chose key lime pie off the specials list, which was very tasty. The pie was quite sharp on the tongue, but there was sorbet to sweeten it. I came away reasonably happy, but not enough to rush back.

I lived in Balmedie for almost 15 years, always used to be a great local place to go, unfortunately I would not recommend it to anyone, terrible customer service, the women from Liverpool or Middlesbrough, somewhere around that area, judging by her accent, is way out of order, no customer service skills. We will not be back, let’s hope the place will find a new owner with friendly staff.Unfortunately I had to give a star as a rating.

The service was fantastic. We were served by Carly (I think) who was lovely, prompt with service and really welcoming. The food was as good as we remembered it to be from our family visit in jan. The chicken burger special was sensational, the club sandwich was also lovely.

The hotel is a little off the beaten track of Aberdeen general area. A little difficult to find. The outside of the hotel is okay - not hugely inviting. The inside sitting area is good. The staff on duty on the day we were there were simply excellent and extremely willing.A young lady who has worked there for many years (since school she informed me), and a "slightly" older lady who even shared her personal mug with me because I wanted a bigger one than that on offer. The service was brilliant.

We were 20 minutes too early for opening for lunch but regardless they showed us to a table and were very welcoming. Even the dog was made very welcome. The food was excellent and clearly all fresh and home made. Excellent would defiantly recommend and will defiantly be back!

We met here for a business lunch /meeting, however the service has to be the WORST service that I have ever experienced. We had to go to the bar to place our order; I don’t know if this is a common thing but it somewhat upset the rhythm of our meeting.

Popped out to the White Horse on a week night at about 7pm for a bite to eat after having enjoyed a nice lunch a few weeks before. Went into the lounge and got a nice booth in the corner with a large group of guys socialising in the middle of the room. After a considerable wait, the waiter approached to take a drinks order. The wait for anyone to approach was so long that we considered just leaving there and then but we stuck around. And when our food arrived we were glad we did.All three of us really enjoyed what we had to eat and it was clean plates all round - good quality pub grub. So we were now sitting with our empty plates... and we waited... and waited. No one came near so we had to approach the waiter who was now behind the bar. He then summoned a colleague who eventually approached and half heartedly took our coffee order. This then came, was fine enough and finished and then another long wait until we again approached the bar for the bill.Upon mentioning our appreciation of the food but disappointment with the service, the waitress spoke to the manager who offered a free round of drinks. Fair enough but we were ready to go home.Would we return again? Given the quality of the food we’d give it another go. We obviously caught things on a bad night as many reviews here mention the friendly service in particular. But our enjoyment was marred on this occasion.

Very impressive with welcoming staff, food was served quickly and efficiently,nothing too much trouble.... The hotel welcomes your canine friend provided its owners are well behaved.... Handy if your best friend wants to join in....

A group of us booked to have dinner. The table was right beside another group on an area of the restaurant that wasn’t too busy. We were given menus promptly and our server went through the long list of specials. She was great and really engaging. We had a to wait a fair bit for our order to be taken, but we had asked for more time twice as we couldn’t decide what to have. The food was outstanding; we had meat lasagna, steak pie, chicken with veg and 2 curries from the specials. The house wine was meh, but the meal was fab. We will all be back again for sure.

The White Horse at Balmedie is a great is a great place to eat. The decor is smart and modern and very relaxing. The food is very good and whilst fairly straightforward, it is extremmely tasty. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The place is dog friendly with a dog station and treats available. All round excellent. We always eat here when we are in the area.

We visited on Sunday for a meal and brought our puppy with us. I love the fact that dogs are welcome here as especially at this time of year with the fireworks I'm not keen to leave her at home on her own! The food was amazing as always and the staff were very friendly. Luna absolutely loved all the attention that she got while we were there both from staff and other customers. We will definitely be back soon.

The food at the White Horse is now consistently good. Woohoo. I love the decor and, now that it is busier, the atmosphere is much improved. I love the new menu, especially the guest dishes. I do hope that they change it say every three months though as we are now regular patrons. The service can still be a little up and down and is definitely better when the owner is there. Keep up the great work guys. Yes there is a new, very good, chef but a place does not perform on that alone.

The food here is absolutely delicious, we have been here in the past and the food has always been acceptable but recently it has been fantastic.

My husband and I visited The Whitehorse Inn last Saturday night and the restaurant was busy with lots of happy looking customers. We have used the restaurant before but would have to say that this is the first time we have seen almost every table full and the atmosphere was great. The new menu is the best we have seen at the restaurant in a long time with plenty of choice to cover all tastes. The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing - all credit to the new chef we would guess! The staff were friendly and helpful and all in all we truly enjoyed our evening - definitely worth a visit if you have not been to the Whitehorse before or it has been a while since your last visit - you will be very very pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be making our trips to the restaurant much more frequent from now.

Myself and my family had a surprise lunch for my husband’s 60th last Sunday. Andy the Head Chef prepared a special 3 course menu for us and I wanted to pass on my gratitude to Andy and his team for the amazing menu and outstanding food! Thank you also to the waiting staff for there first class service! The food was outstanding and very much the topic of conversation between our family for days after. Thank you very much once again to the amazing Whitehorse Inn for everything they did to make my Husband’s birthday one to remember!

Yesterday (24th August) My mum, dad, sister and I along with our dogs; a Cocker Spaniel called Henry and a Cockapoo called Fergus went down for supper.

Excellent food, large portions, friendly staff, though very quiet for a Friday lunchtime. Very good value.

We visited The Whitehorse inn this evening for a family meal, and we were thrilled with our food! The fish, which was a special was exceptional and we sent our compliments to the chef. The service was very good, all staff were extremely friendly. Will definitely be back :-)

Went here for dinner Saturday at 6:30pm. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Menu is a nice and simple, good value pub grub menu. All food was nice and hot when it arrived and clearly cooked fresh to order. The interior is modern and it has a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommend this pub for a lunch or dinner and will definitely be back again soon.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a good restaurant that was also pet friendly. We had heard about the white horse and decided to give it ago after not being in years. The staff were very friendly and the manager that was on made sure we had everything we needed, and he even gave Molly her own bowl of water. The food was delicious, I would recommend the garlic bread. Perfect place to go for a meal before or after a walk along balmedie beach with the dog. We will definitely be a returning customer to try more food from the menu.

Visited Thursday dinner just after 1700. We ordered drinks along with food. My wife and I had the gammon and my 5 year old had the child’s fish and chips.

Came here with my partner for a dinner on Saturday night, he had the homemade pizza and i had the rump steak. I was dissapointed that the rump was the only cut they had on the menu but i ordered it anyway and i was pleasantly surprised, it wasn't too fatty and it was perfectly cooked to my liking (medium rare). The pizza was also very good and could tell it was homemade. Staff were very friendly and service was excellent.

A party of us were here on the 3rd April to celebrate my husbands birthday .We were lucky and got the function room which was great as there were 4 children who were able to run about without disturbing other diners .The service was excellent as was the food and the evening was made extra special by Gary who was our waiter for the entire evening .Can certainly recommend this restaurant .

We stopped by here in a bit of a tight spot. The management and staff could not have been more supportive and helpful. Nice food and beer too!

Sicuramente non un posto dietetico, adatto a chi è attento alla linea. I piatti presenti nel menù sono buoni e di apprezzabile qualità. Il servizio è stato soddisfacente e attento. Abbiamo cenato in questo locale poiché dovevamo passare la notte nell' albergo gestito dagli stessi proprietari del ristorante; proprio per questo motivo ci è risultato molto comodo. Ottima la birra, prezzi nella media, ma data la posizione decentrata da Aberdeen, sicuramente non è un posto che si rileva con facilità.

Fish & chips excellent, Sunday Roast beef ace (not that thin stuff reminiscent of schools), interesting Katsu curry & a steakburger. Nice ice cream and friendly staff

Not a bad place to have lunch. Food & service was good. There was at least 4 dogs. I don’t mind dogs but not that many. Every time a dog came in the other dogs went mental. The final straw was when a big hairy very smelly dog came in. Don’t need that when eating a meal.

Decided to try the white horse inn on the way back from Aberdeen by calling to reserve a table for four. Absolutely no problem and when we arrived we were given a nice booth to sit in where the decor around us was lovely. This place has obviously had quite a sum of money spent on it to make it appealing.

A family friendly restaurant, best to book a table but you are made welcome if you have not booked. Staff are polite and friendly, cosy atmosphere and the food arrives piping hot. My favourite is the Lasagne, will be back soon

Daughter and I decided to go for a quick supper before going to the cinema. As we didn't have a lot of time we decided on the White Horse in Balmedie which is on our way to Aberdeen. The new decor is lovely and modern. The menu is a bit underwhelming and oldfashioned. We sat for a while before I asked the waitress how much longer it would be. Our dinner arrived 40 minutes after we ordered. Unfortuneately it wasn't worth the wait. My, very warm, bowl of chicken and bacon ceasar salad arrived so imagine my surprise when I discovered my chicken and bacon was cold. A basic fail, cold food in a hot bowl! There was plenty chicken but the dressing was salty and tasted fishy. When I got a blop of something with a soft fatty texture, that was it, I coudn't eat any more. Daughters pan fried chicken breast in gravy with mash and veg looked and, she said, tasted like a ready meal. When asked for the bill the waitress, despite knowing we were in a hurry, cleared the table and took the dishes to the kitchen before getting our bill. Not good!

We enjoyed delicious food and hot drinks served by friendly staff. Function room was set up beautifully for us every week and always experienced a nice atmosphere during our time there. Would definitely book with the White Horse again!

Whether the management read the other reviews, I wouldn't like to guess, but my experience of the food and service contrasts to that of previous reviews. The restaurant was busy in the evening and even though I arrived towards the end of service, the waitress was cheerful and efficient. My dinner was delivered promptly and was well-cooked and presented. Breakfast the following morning was similarly well-prepared and presented. The hotel was busy, unsurprising as it was the start of the Easter bank holiday, and the hotel has benefitted from the large construction works associated with the nearby Aberdeen by-pass. It is a little dated, still very 1960's motel, but none the worse for that, but in need of a little renovation.

Ate here yesterday. The waitress (who was quite abrupt) listed 6 or 7 items which couldn't be made as they had run out (at 2pm on a Sunday??) which was less than ideal as the menu isn't huge. Had macaroni cheese which was -admittedly - very very nice. The waitresses continued to be quite abrupt throughout our stay, and I wasn't overly impressed by a group of service staff (and possibly the manager?) stood in a huddle behind the bar speaking and laughing louder than any of the other customers. Not particularly professional! Would return as the food cannot be faulted, and the decor is lovely, but the service needs quite a bit of work.

We booked lunch at the White Horse Inn today for a birthday treat for our son. There were four adults and our two grandchildren. We were greeted very warmly by the waitress, who took our order promptly. Then followed a long wait for our mains, almost 45 minutes! Considering there were only two other tables occupied this was unacceptable. Obviously some of our dishes were ready long before others, as I could actually see my husbands club sandwich sitting in the kitchen for ages before it was served to us. The food was adequate when it finally did arrive. Nothing special, but reasonable value for money. We then made the mistake of ordering two sticky toffee puddings, two cheesecakes and two childs brownies. We waited for a full 30 minutes for these! I could have baked them myself in that time. The fault did not seem to be with the waitresses, who were very friendly, but in the kitchen. All in all, lunch took 2 hours 10 minutes. We wont be back.

Regularly keep trying the white horse whether it be for food/drinks with my friends. However each time the service sadly brings it down. No urgency to offer drinks at beginning or throughout. Finally, got a ladies attention at the end to ask for the bill and was seated with the bill for 30 minutes all with jackets on and cards for paying sitting visibly on table. Finally, only after my friend asked to speak to manager they came over to settle the bill. Service seems to let it down every time. Perfect location for us and lovely restaurant just a shame about the service.

I eat here around once every 6 weeks and my last visit was a disappointment with food. Ordered the chicken salad + avocado and was basic with little or no imagination added. Made worse by the fact that I asked to have no avocado but no replacement item or thought was added to it,Chicken was very dry and felt like whomever put the dish was just ticking a box.Having said this most occasions the food has been good and plentiful. It wont stop me returning but will wait until menu changes.Staff were, as always really good and reduced our bill by half. Thank you for this.

Just dropped in past the White Horse for a meal with my wife, we both ordered starters, the special of the night and shared a cheese board with coffee. Overall we were both blown away with the service from our lovely waitress and the standard of cuisine from the kitchen. Lovely ambiance in the restraunt and we thought great value for money. It's been a while since we were able to visit the White Horse, but in the pas t we have always found it to be a lovely place to stop for a meal. The last time we visited, there was a wedding about to take place, but we were not treated with any less respect or less service than those attending the wedding. The staff were working very hard to keep everyone happy!!

We visited the White Horse Inn for lunch midweek. We went there because we had a voucher for a free meal and thought we would give it a try.The place has the look of a social club from the outside, it's tidy looking but you wouldn't necessarily think to go in. However, we got a pleasant surprise when we went into the restaurant - it's a lovely, welcoming space, nicely decorated and furnished. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and we were served promptly. I ordered the tomato and mozzarella arancini for starters and my husband had olives, and we both had fish and chips for our mains. There wasn't a huge choice on the lunchtime menu, but there was something to suit pretty much everyone.The arancini were delicious, I really enjoyed them. The fish and chips were excellent - the batter was nice and crispy on the fish and it wasn't too greasy. The mushy peas had an unusual flavour that might not be to everyone's' taste, but we quite liked them. The portions weren't huge, but were plenty big enough for lunchtime.When it came to paying the bill, we didn't use the voucher - we felt it was such good value (£7.50 for the fish and chips) that we would have felt mean if we'd used it! We will definitely be back, probably with the rest of the family. It's a really nice place, the food was good and the service was good.

Went here with friends for a Saturday evening meal. Restaurant was clean and tidy as were the ladies toilets. The serving staff were friendly but didn't know the food and drinks menu well and had to ask both the kitchen and bar for answers to our questions. The food was nice but expensive for what it was, my deserts was just a normal sticky toffee pudding but was £6 and our friend had a trio of chocolate deserts (small portions) which was £9. My husband paid £14 for a burger and it came only with a handful of chips. Overall experience was pleasant but can get the same quality cheaper in town without the expense of travelling out of town.

Lovely looking modern restaurant, but the portion sizes are far too small, ordered a wrap & it was tiny, certainly not enough to fill me up, had a side of chips which again was too small , so ordered a desert-White chocolate & raspberry waffle which was much better Portion wise & delicious! It would be great if the manager took this into consideration, I would most certainly be back.

This is a lovely restaurant with a fresh and airy feel. We came here for a family reunion and it was the perfect setting, very relaxed with really delicious food which was presented very well. The staff were so friendly - even by Scottish standards. The kid's menu was generous and activities kept the children busy, even my 9 and 11 year old who are usually not impressed with activity sheets in restaurants any more. I can't think of anything that could have been improved - I just wish I lived closer so I could visit more!

Popped in past for a bite to eat on route home from shopping in town.Restaurant very quiet Greeted by friendly staff. Prompt service.Fish and chips and mushy peas and burger and chips and coleslaw.Portions a good size but rustic chips fried with skins on not my taste were quite hard presented in a wee bucket with the burger. Puddings ice cream good flavour choices but after eight flavoured tasteless more like plain mint ice cream with few bits of chocolate at bottom of sundae glass. Lemon posset tasty but served in a wee jar with sharp metal edges as tho a lid would be attached not very nice in my opinion for presentation .Pricey for what it was i felt over £13 for each main courses and over £5 each for puddings.Soft drinks expensive also at over £2 a can.

We are locals, so it only takes 5 minutes to walk to the Restaurants. The new menu is very good, we had langoustines for starters, chichen and fish pie for mains, they we really good. Ewen's chef has got this menu right, the deep fry meals have gone , now there are some lovely new options. So looking forward our weekly dinners in White Horse with lovely staff.

Nice ambience, good service and a decent beer.After a choice of starters (carrot soup or goat cheese in batter) as vegetarians we were let down by the sole offer of vegetarian main course on the "deal" menu. A mushroon tart was acceptable (if rather small) but the accompanying salad was very like that I had had with the goats cheese with the addition of a few miniature tomatoes and slices of radish.Meanwhile the pther two "deal" main courses came with chunky chips (and garlic bread with one of them). Surely a main course should worth more than 300 calories! (OK, an estimate but you get the point).

I was here tonight with my family, 7 of us in total and a Cockapoo who enjoyed socializing with the other dogs already in the restaurant.There was three burgers ordered, two haddock, one gammon steak with egg and I opted for something a bit more adventurous a mushroom, spinach and cranberry tart.We all really enjoyed our meal.

Thought we would try out the White Horse at Balmedie tonight, wish we hadn't! Service was very slow, after 30 mins our Order was taken, we than waited a further 40 mins for our food which was not worth the wait, 2 of our party ordered the gammon which was disgusting, full of fatty and grissly bits, served with hot pickledOnions and greasy chips , another ordered the haddock which was also dripping in Grease, we had a child's chicken burger which didn't even look like chicken, something processed as I'd imagine, we then waited 40 mins for the table to be cleared, their was 5 members of inefficient staff, the restaurant wasn't busy so no excuses, we complained about the gammon which we didn't eat and was told the comments would be passed to the chef! We waited about 10 mins expecting the manager to come over but nothing, so we cut our losses paid the bill and left, will subsequently not be going back even if they had offered to remove the meals from the bill which they didn't! Worst meal I've ever had!!!!! Don't waste your money folks, came close to revolting!!!!

Ate at the whitehorse. On a Friday evening the restaurant didn't seem to be too busy. There were three of us at the table and all ordering soup to start and two of us having burgers for a main and 1 fish and chips.Although when ordering we were told a 15 min wait will be for the burgers it was a good 30 minutes before we even got our soup and the same again for our mains. The meals were average but not near the standard I'd expect for the prices we paid. Wouldn't hurry back.
