Came across Cafe48 while out for a drive and it’s now on the list of places to go back to. First up, a spacious car park with a couple of disabled bays close to the entrance. Inside, the tables allow for plenty of space which would accommodate wheelchair/rollator. A good menu of meals, light snacks and fine pieces and the prices are very reasonable. We had coffee and cakes and both were excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient. There’s tables and benches outside looking on to a small garden area. The toilets ( disabled & women ) were immaculate. Will definitely return.

A nice community run cafe based inside the Pitmedden community centre. Inside is tastefully decorated with high back brown chairs and photos on the wall. It was a lovely day, so the choice was to eat using the outdoor seating. The front of the community centre has a garden, so it's actually quite pleasant sitting outside in addition to the sunshine. The day's special was the mozzarella and tomato toastie, that was nice. The coffee was excellent too. The staff are just lovely as you'd expect from a community centre.

I may be slightly biased as I volunteer at this cafe on a weekly basis, but I'd recommend you try it and see for yourself. The service (even on the days i'm not there) is very friendly and welcoming, the food is of a very high standard and the cakes are dangerous when you work there every week! But seriously, the cakes are fantastic, my favourite is always a plain scone, they are massive, but some of the cakes and traybakes win me over from time to time! There is a separate children's play area inside with toys for all ages. There is outdoor seating, which is perfect on the warmer days as the sun shines on this area all day long. They can cater for different dietary requirements, just ask. There are specials posted on the facebook page regularly as well as any deals they may have on. Go on, try it, you know you want to... This review is purely my own opinion from personal visits with family & friends.

Ordered an afternoon tea for my gran’s 80th birthday. Staff are very accommodating to allergy and dietary requirements when placing the order as my grandad does not eat chicken. When I picked up the afternoon tea, staff warmly welcomed and quickly served us despite it being busy. When I unboxed and served the afternoon tea for the party, we were amazed with the amount of food we had. A variety of sandwiches such as a range of chicken options, ham and cheese, cheese and pickle, tuna and egg mayo. Each box had one sausage roll, scone with jam and butter, two choc dipped strawberries and different types of tray cakes. We were so impressed with the amount of food and the quality (the scones and choc strawberries went down a treat with the grandparents!) Will 100% use Sally’s for future afternoon teas.

This place is a wee gem! A phenomenal selection of whiskies, a very tasty sharing platter, all served by friendly staff who love to share funny stories. A few locals were in who also love a blether. Lovely seating area outside too. Only open Friday to Sunday at present.

On a very wet day we were recommended to come here and were not disappointed. Warm and friendly welcome, excellent service and delicious lunch. Akira and Carol both attended to little details without asking - ie Carol serving an extra large portion of chips when I declined other veg that were on the menu (brother in law pleased to help me out!) and Akira giving my sister a takeaway box as she couldn't manage the whole of her panini. Brillliant. I live in Devon so may not be passing through again but would wholeheartedly recommend visiting.

This is one of best coffee shops I have known. It's such a shame that it's taken me 72 years to discover it. Great coffee and delicious food. The bacon rolls are gigantic.
