Soup was ok, but the wraps was disgusting. Ordered wrap with extra meat fillings, and couldn’t feel any meat , felt only heated veggies, never asked if I would like any sauce in it. Also waiting for 2 wraps and soup for 30 mins unacceptable. Won’t be back again and won’t recommend to anyone
Gate 63 is a training kitchen/restaurant operated by students, guided by professionals. Honestly, the food is outstanding and the price tag is £20 x 3 courses. What an innovative way to support up and coming talent in hospitality. Never disappoints, always delivers. Way to go Gate 63 👌 better than some of the rather more expensive restaurants in Aberdeen.
Customer service was very good, but the food is not fresh, salad was dry and chutneys are not freshly made. Saag lacked any real flavour, pakora was bland etc...
We looked up the reviews and they were very good but after just being there i find them hard to believe. This place is for people who like to over indulge and overfill their plates at the carvery. The menu is all fast food and not the best at that. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Not so great to be back at the Ashvale, staff are absolutely a delight, reasonable prices. Food wasn't great this time. Living on a name. Slight shortage on ladies toilet, only 2 for a large restaurant?

Disappointing decline in service
I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times for work, often for a week at a time and have spent thousands over last couple of months. Unfortunately, the service has really gone downhill. After my most recent stay, I accidentally left a few small personal items in the room. When I contacted the hotel, I was told they wouldn’t return them unless I arranged and paid for a courier service myself—hardly what you’d expect from a hotel at this price point.
This followed issues during my last visit, where I had to raise a complaint about flies in the room, particularly around the windows and coffee machine—definitely not what you’d expect in terms of cleanliness or hygiene.
The location is convenient and the gym is a useful perk, but overall, the service and attention to detail have been disappointing. I won’t be rushing back.
Very nice bar and restaurant, excellent food with generous portions!😀😀Also show all football matches and sporting events on over 10 large screens inside and two massive screens in the outdoor canopied area which is great during the nice weather!!
Comida súper sabrosa, ambiente encantador y gran personal.
