One of the best takeaways we have had in a good while, ordered online and collected 30mins later. Food was very tasty and we had asked for extra sauce which was added free of charge, overall a very nice curry and decent sized portions. Service was fine and as we were having an early meal it was quiet in the restaurant but will be back very soon.

On visit to Galashiels, I just had to pop into Macaris for breakfast, been several times in the past, and wasn't disappointed. Great friendly service and great breakfast.

Donner meat was great but not to impressed with the chicken pakora probally one of the worst I've ever had

Should have paid more attention to the bad reviews. Don't waste your money. Food came 1 hour late, after 3 phone calls and being lied to. They eventually just stopped answering the phone. Finally arrived and was awful. Soggy burger, soggy 'loaded' fries resembled something that you would expect to be handed at a carnival. Flavourless pasta. Pizza was ok to be fair. Outrageously bad for the money.

So me and my partner visit Kelso once a year and we usually stop in to see what fresh bread and pastries are on offer. We were in last Saturday and we were disappointed with the pastries and coffee we received. Pastry was dense and coffee was cold. For the price paid and the experience I dont think we'll stop by again.

We booked a 4 day stay at what was to be a premier resort - golf spa pool facilities etc This is the the worst resort of many we have ever stayed in - disappointing menu and very expensive - breakfast mediocre and £24 per head no less - poor value for money Staffing - almost non existent- reception resembled the Marie Celeste!! Room was dirty and wet from a rain leak not noticed apparently on servicing - no help or portrrsge offered to help move room Tea milk etc not replenished - no one answered the phone No porter assistance available No information on check in regarding how ta access leisure facilities Lift not working therefore no disabled access to leisure facilities All this and no one to apologise or apparently care Overall very disappointing stay but a beautiful location

Really disappointed on this visit. No gluten free cake or anything else. Drinks served in paper cups and no plate given for my fellow customer's tray bake. The cafe felt like a poor standard station cafe with all of the atmosphere, it felt like everyone was waiting t be somewhere else. Shall not be visiting again under any circumsatnces.

The food is decent Having to wait for ages in line is frustrating, especially when people take forever

First stay at the Traquir Arms Hotel and restaurant and can definitely say it won’t be the last. I had a single room on the top floor the room was clean and nicely furnished and there was plenty of tea and coffee and lots of mini milk pots ( most places leave you a couple which normally only allows for one cup of coffee) Everywhere around the hotel and restaurants is clean and tastefully decorated and the staff are really friendly. I had an evening meal and breakfast and the food choices were excellent, well presented and super tasty.

Food is rotten found some sort of NOT FOOD in my tray call them about it and they just ended the call I will be going to the health office about this I have contacted trade and standard about it IT NEEDS CLOSED DOWN

I have gone many times to this restaurant. Each time I go the staff are so busy that the place is an absolute mess. Tables not cleaned and rubbish everywhere, including outside. Also my daughter wanted the toilet but they were so bad we had to abandon and leave to go home.
