China Garden in Scottish Borders

Had a takeaway this evening. I ordered a portion of boiled rice and a portion of shredded beef in honey & chilli sauce but not sure what I recieved. The meat tastes more like chicken and tasted burnt. The food tasted so bad I put in into the bin. Had I lived near I'd have taken it back. Definitely wouldn't recommend. The food was S**t

It was back in March we last ordered from another local Chinese takeaway. It was so disappointing we hadn't attempted to have another in months. Tonight we decided to try again and this time ordered from the Lee Garden - and we're so glad we did. Ordered a set meal for 4, but there was easily enough for for 5 or even 6 people. The whole order was delicious, every dish. With special mention to the banana fritters. It was amazing quality, and good value for money. The Lee Garden was also spotlessly clean at the service side and where you can see in to the kitchen. The staff were very friendly too. Would definitely recommend it and will definitely be ordering again in the future.

This is the best Chinese take away in Galashiels, the food is superb, but the delivery service is appalling, never anywhere near the promised delivery time infact ours took two and a half hours, the food was hot when it did arrive so was freshly cooked and delicious but please please improve the home delivery service

We’ve all tasted real chicken and we all know what real chicken tastes like. We all know the texture of real chicken too. Sadly, this place has resorted to using some other kind of meat that they are calling ‘chicken’ but, unless they’ve discovered a new species of chicken that tastes nothing like chicken, then this ain’t chicken. As for the beef... that’s fake too. Standards have plummeted in this place. Shame.

Stumbled across the Lee garden whilst in Galashiels.lady at front of house was lovely friendly and very helpful.we were heading home to Stow and were eager to eat our meal.absolutely delicious food. Full of flavours.cooked to perfection. Look forward to returning.

Waited 2 hours for a delivery, even thought we were advised less than an hour. Eventually cancelled order after constantly being total it would be delivered as soon as driver returned.

No matter what dish we get from there it never disappoints. Always amazing 😁the manager is always upfront too and he friendly always welcomes us with a smile!

Great food, good quality and tasty, good size portions and reasonable price, would use again and would recommend.

I have now tried this takeaway several times now, and I, my wife & daughter have not had a bad meal yet. I certainly have not experienced anything that is mentioned in any of the bad reviews. I just can't fault it.

Bueno, yo creo que tienen una cara de llamar chino. . .Debería haber sabido que después de esperar 2 horas para la entrega me a una mala cosa. !La comida era terrible.El olor. . El aspecto del mismo y el poco intenté era simplemente una broma, evan las patatas fritas eran incomibles.Nunca. . Nunca. Recomiendo comer. o aquí.

Girl on the phone thought i was a prank caller and got very angry and started yelling at me when my kids could hear aswell

I have tried the other Chinese Takeaways - this is the BEST in Galathe food is still edible to eat the next day ( if you were given too much )always a good sign , I found the place to have been redecorated - to a good standardabove all , a nice menu and the food is really tasty !

Full of salt cash only no till to record takings bit suspicious there are better Chinese takeaways in Galashiels don't think I will be back to soon

Mis amigos y yo pedimos para una entrega anoche, en el teléfono nos dijeron que sería 1 hora, 2 horas y 5 minutos después que pedimos que la comida llegó, no caliente me gustaría añadir. La comida en sí está bien, pero hay mejores lugares en galashiels así que no pedir desde aquí otra vez.

Sin duda la mejor comida para llevar en galashiels. Los sabores son geniales y la comida es siempre caliente. El conductor de entrega Tam siempre es agradable y lleva una sonrisa. Nada parecía ser demasiado para el establecimiento, que intentamos satisfacer tus gustos individuales. Sigan...

Collected a carry out from here and we all enjoyed it, even if we did sit in our car to eat it!! Everyone found the food acceptable and while I wouldn't rush back, it certainly wasn't bad.

Used to be a good takeaway but I wouldn't recommend it now! Food very greasy and salty and not a sign of any of the usual Chinese vegetables you would expect. I recently ordered a meal and once home I realised it was the wrong order. When I called them they wouldn't believe me and were very rude.... No offer to bring the correct food and no apology:( It is now called LEE GARDEN. I won't be wasting my money here again.

Nice food good portions and tasted fresh, probably the best Chinese takeaway in Gala, the only minor disappointment were the prawn crackers but everything else was excellent.

The food remains the best in town - superb. Keep it up. The quality, quantity and flavours were/are fantastic. The prompt delivery is excellent. However because it is the 'best in town' it is always busy and therefore you need to be patient, but is is definitely worth the wait.

Best take away in town, the food is always the same! Good, hot and fresh. Never had a bad takeaway from here. Can seem a bit blunt on the phone
