First time from here but very sure it won't be my last food was great delivery on time and portion was huge no complaints here

Disgusting tasteless food over priced don’t waste your money and rude staff go somewhere else avoid this Chinese………….

Very nice food and the staff are very kind. When my order was wrong they were quick to help and offered a free meal next time. I always make sure to leave them a tip because I can tell it's overwhelming for them at busy hours and they're trying their best

The chips and rice with curry was disgusting

I love salt and chilli ribs!these were by far the worst ribs I have ever eaten or uneaten as the case may be as they went in the food bin,far too salty and at £6:80 the most expensive in the borders avoid this place at all costs as the cook clearly doesn't taste the garbage they dish out!

Always busy which is always a good sign! Great selection menu wise, fair prices and speedy service. Staff always warm friendly and accommodating. Most importantly food always excellent, fresh, tasty and good sized portions!! What's not to love!!

Had the worst takeaway Chinese meal from this horrendous place tonight, the Curry sauce was like dirty water, only found that out when I got home after travelling a 30 mile round trip to collect. Phoned them straight away and was told they'd get the delivery driver to deliver a replacement meal, after over an hours wait still no meal, my wife phoned them to see when we could expect it to be delivered only to be told that the owner was refusing to replace the pig swill, he was advised I'd be returning with the meal and would be expecting reimbursement, on returning to the place (another 30 mile round trip) I was told the owner had left earlier immediately when he heard I was returning, obviously his attempt at avoiding me and shirking his responsibilities ! I asked the girl on the counter to phone him and advise him if I didn't get satisfaction I would be taking it up with the Food Hygiene Standards agency and would be keeping the meal as evidence, then and only then did he cave in and told the girl to give me my money back, I would not feed my dogs food from this place and advise people to go elsewhere. It is blatantly obvious to me that the owner is in the wrong business and only offered some customer service when backed into a corner,he has absolutely no abilities when it comes to dealing with Customer satisfaction/ complaints. See the photo clearly showing you oil floating on top of the watery gloop that they consider Curry sauce !! .....AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS !!

Food always excellent the chicken and sweetcorn soup is very nice

Food arrived after 2 hours waiting, items were missing, was told they would send out straight away but over half an hour before it arrived, was told its not their fault as its busy, asked to speak to someone in charge but was told there was no one available, absolutely terrible service from this place!!

Great portion sizes and food once again. I’ve never been disappointed when I’ve ordered from here. Bonus as well - you get NHS discount if you show your staff ID badge when paying. It can take a while sometimes for order to be ready but this is a good sign. There are lots of chefs that you can see and lots of food getting made for deliveries and collections. It’s worth waiting for - TIP phone order in before hand to save less waiting time.

Imagine getting food poisoning from a special fried rice well that’s exactly what happened won’t be ordering food for pick up or delivery ever again from them off to cuddle a bucket now 👌🏼

Delivery times told 1hr to 90 mins! 3 calls later..3 hrs later.When eventually arrived order incomplete.Wont use again..not the first time

It's certainly the Chinese takeaway of choice for Galashiels. Staff are always quick and eager to serve, as well as polite. Prices are very reasonable too.

Ordered Chinese, was told it was going to be 1 hour to hour and half so not bad. Nearly 2 hours later phoned shop to check, told not even started cooking and could be the same wait. Just had to cancel in the end to long waiting.

Oder my muchie box at 5.45 say be up to 1 hours call back at 8 o'clock saying its sitting in kitchen be half a hour call back at 9 o'clock still in kitchen had cancelled my order

Thought I would give this place a second chance after waiting more than 4 hours for my last order. Wish I hadn’t bothered. Curry sauce came congealed, salt and pepper chips seemed like they were last weeks reheated. The worst Chinese I have ever came across. Will never! Never use this place again. Had to go and get a tin of dog food to make my taste buds better..

Ordered a takeaway and told it would be an hour and a half for delivery.......it was nearly 3 hours before it arrived, very poor service Will not be using again. The only thing good about the experience was the poor driver who could not have been more apologetic and it wasn't even his fault. Personally, I would avoid. I appreciate you can be busy Tell your customers that. Be honest and don't tell them its on its way, when its not I called after an hour and a half to be told my order had just went to the kitchen You need to look at how you are running your business. Badly,from what I can see.

Phoned at 4.30 for an order I am aware it is a busy time, but 3 hours for delivery and we are stilling waiting. Phoned twice to be told its on its way, I'm convinced it's coming from China. This is seriously unacceptable. Won't be ordering again. Why don't you tell people they may have to wait 3 to 4 hours for a delivery, then they have the option to order or not.

Ordered a munchie box and wonder where the rest of it is?😂

Avoid ordering on a Saturday night!!! Waited over 4 and a half hours for a munchie box!!!! We have Ordered a delivery from selkirk a few times, there's no denying the food is good but we were let down by the service lastnight. We phoned in our order at 5.40, the delivery arrived about 2 hours later, we didn't realise until after the delivery driver had left that they had given us the wrong food and missed out a munchie box. I called in and explained the situation, they said our munchie box would be sent out with the next delivery driver, we waited another hour and a half before I phoned in again to ask if it had been sent out, again they said it would be sent out with the next available driver, we waited roughly until 10.10 before it arrived so all in all we waited a total of over 4 and a half hours for our food, I'm not sure on how there system works but if a mistake Is made in most places it gets sorted right away which it obviously wasn't last night, they did give us a free portion on chips and juice which was appreciated but waiting over 4 and a half hours for food is a joke, it's a shame as the food is really tasty.

One of the best Chinese I've been to. My partner wasn't as keen on their Thai style curry though.

Ok, first of all the food is awesome, and a great price, however the procedure for phoning in your order and then having to wait outside for 45 mins after your scheduled pick up time is a shambles.They also forgot part of my order.

Never again..ordered chowmein and was sent uncooked dry thin noodles in a box..chips were hard and dry..spare ribs were chopped up..fatty..very little meat on them..total waste of money..long wait..very disappointed

First time ive ever been to Lee Garden and the food was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be going back and 100% recommend.

Pre ordered with over 2 hours notice and had to wait an hour at collection time along with around 12 other people.

Had a takeaway this evening. I ordered a portion of boiled rice and a portion of shredded beef in honey & chilli sauce but not sure what I recieved. The meat tastes more like chicken and tasted burnt. The food tasted so bad I put in into the bin. Had I lived near I'd have taken it back. Definitely wouldn't recommend. The food was S**t

It was back in March we last ordered from another local Chinese takeaway. It was so disappointing we hadn't attempted to have another in months. Tonight we decided to try again and this time ordered from the Lee Garden - and we're so glad we did. Ordered a set meal for 4, but there was easily enough for for 5 or even 6 people. The whole order was delicious, every dish. With special mention to the banana fritters. It was amazing quality, and good value for money. The Lee Garden was also spotlessly clean at the service side and where you can see in to the kitchen. The staff were very friendly too. Would definitely recommend it and will definitely be ordering again in the future.

This is the best Chinese take away in Galashiels, the food is superb, but the delivery service is appalling, never anywhere near the promised delivery time infact ours took two and a half hours, the food was hot when it did arrive so was freshly cooked and delicious but please please improve the home delivery service

We’ve all tasted real chicken and we all know what real chicken tastes like. We all know the texture of real chicken too. Sadly, this place has resorted to using some other kind of meat that they are calling ‘chicken’ but, unless they’ve discovered a new species of chicken that tastes nothing like chicken, then this ain’t chicken. As for the beef... that’s fake too. Standards have plummeted in this place. Shame.

By far the best Chinese takeaway in the town. Always excellent food, friendly staff and reasonable prices, also very quick home deliveries. Excellent!!

Lee garden takeaway used to be the best lemon chicken with lovely lemon sauce. Haven't had for a while how disappointed It was so dry and greasy no sauce unfortunately My husband had the duck and plum sauce not what expected back to Indian takeaway on Saturday night I think least more sauce

Delivery took over 2 hours to come. Food was stone cold. Service was awful. Food tasted awful- wouldn’t even give it to my dog. Disgsuting.

Stumbled across the Lee garden whilst in Galashiels.lady at front of house was lovely friendly and very helpful.we were heading home to Stow and were eager to eat our meal.absolutely delicious food. Full of flavours.cooked to perfection. Look forward to returning.

Last night waited an hour for a delivery , which would have been ok had the meal been good, however it was very salty throughout , and the sweet and sour chicken balls had a burnt taste . Complained tonight but basically they don’t want to know . Won’t be back . (Ordered at 7 pm for 8.45 , delivered at 9.45 pm after phoning . )

Food ok but be careful when paying.

Food of good quality, however with issues, asked for fried rice and curry sauce, received chips and curry sauce, when we phoned to complain had a 5 minute argument with the staff about the order which then progressed to the manager who was not friendly and said it would cost £1.50 to deliver the rice to our house even when it was their fault.

I love it here!❤ The salt & pepper Chicken wings are amazing! They come with stir fry included in the price and is quite filling. Very nice food totally recommend.

Waited 2 hours for a delivery, even thought we were advised less than an hour. Eventually cancelled order after constantly being total it would be delivered as soon as driver returned.

I have now tried this takeaway several times now, and I, my wife & daughter have not had a bad meal yet. I certainly have not experienced anything that is mentioned in any of the bad reviews. I just can't fault it.

My best advice would be to completely avoid this Chinese. Unless you want to wait 1hour 45 minutes for your food!

I have tried the other Chinese Takeaways - this is the BEST in Galathe food is still edible to eat the next day ( if you were given too much )always a good sign , I found the place to have been redecorated - to a good standardabove all , a nice menu and the food is really tasty !

Ordered a meal for 2 at 5.30 pm , and asked for delivery at 7.30 pm , and this was fine , reason we asked for it at this time was a would not be home , 6.45 delivery guys comes to the door with meal,45 minutes early , he got sent away, called shop and told them ,7.30 pm as agreed and again a was told yes no problem, 8.05 it finally turned up, and guess what , yeah stone cold , called them back again and just got a snotty answer saying to bring it back, guess who wont be using thos place again , total shocking place

Sin duda la mejor comida para llevar en galashiels. Los sabores son geniales y la comida es siempre caliente. El conductor de entrega Tam siempre es agradable y lleva una sonrisa. Nada parecía ser demasiado para el establecimiento, que intentamos satisfacer tus gustos individuales. Sigan...

was waiting 1 and half hour for delivery (not friday night, but wednesday afternoon, which i don't think so would be their busiest hour) , when it finally come, sauce was missing... took them another 45 minutes to deliver it. and meal was too salty :/

Collected a carry out from here and we all enjoyed it, even if we did sit in our car to eat it!! Everyone found the food acceptable and while I wouldn't rush back, it certainly wasn't bad.

Best Chinese in the borders! By a mile

Used to be a good takeaway but I wouldn't recommend it now! Food very greasy and salty and not a sign of any of the usual Chinese vegetables you would expect. I recently ordered a meal and once home I realised it was the wrong order. When I called them they wouldn't believe me and were very rude.... No offer to bring the correct food and no apology:( It is now called LEE GARDEN. I won't be wasting my money here again.

Nice food good portions and tasted fresh, probably the best Chinese takeaway in Gala, the only minor disappointment were the prawn crackers but everything else was excellent.

The food remains the best in town - superb. Keep it up. The quality, quantity and flavours were/are fantastic. The prompt delivery is excellent. However because it is the 'best in town' it is always busy and therefore you need to be patient, but is is definitely worth the wait.

Best take away in town, the food is always the same! Good, hot and fresh. Never had a bad takeaway from here. Can seem a bit blunt on the phone
