Wow, fabulous food and made to feel most welcome. Dog friendly, Harris just loved David the co-owner. The Sunday beef roast was just the best we have ever had, a must. The food was so good we booked for the Italian night later in the week. The lasagna is to die for. Sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel ice cream was stunning. Best book of your going as you may be disappointed if you turn up, tables fill fast. Jason, Lesley and Harris.

We had very nise coffee and lemon drizzle cake - would go back again if we are in the area. Staff were nise and chatty and friendly.

Lovely tea room , fab menu choices , all homemade , the vanilla and blueberry scones were absolutly delicious . the high tea was fab . the restaurant itself is quirky and spotless clean . the gentleman who served us was so friendly and kind , and was so helpful whilst choosing from the menu .,I think your undercharging for this venue , the quality of the food and portion is generous .

Firstly, have to commend the owner/manager who fitted us in with little notice when everywhere else was booked up. He was friendly and helpful (although kept wandering off through taking order as clearly short staffed). The restaurant itself lacks atmosphere and soft furnishings to make it feel less like a large room in a converted house. Pickle tray and poppadoms average, and uninspiring. Mains ok, but short on meat for £9 for standard curries, rice ok but naans heavy and not great. If in Coldstream its ok for a visit or takeaway but certainly wouldn't travel.

Was housesitting for a friend and decided to cheat on dinner on my last night. The Blackadder was just a short walk. I found the server very friendly and charming. Had the Brie for starter and then the Balmoral chicken which was lovely. You know you've had a good meal when you feel a little depressed when you reach the bottom of the plate!

What a great find! Everything homemade and absolutely delicious. Very pleasant welcoming staff and just wish we lived closer as we would make it a regular place to eat.

Under new management with great hosts, Chris and Jacqui, and an excellent chef. The fire is always lit, the pub has a great selection of real ale with regular guest beers. The wine choice is also great with lovely wines by the glass. But the real star is the food. A great choice of dishes with daily specials. Have eaten there 4 times and I highly recommend giving it a try.

Lovely restaurant in the centre of Duns less than 5 minutes walk from the museum. Great choice on the lunch menu with light bites, substantial sandwiches and main meals. Had the tart of the day and one of the salad specials - both really tasty. The atmosphere was lovely with a great welcome and very friendly. We’re looking for an excuse to go back but it’s an 800 mile round trip so it might be a wee while till we get there again.

Had a stop here during a day trip to the borders. My teen son had the big breakfast and everything was cooked perfectly. He highly recommends the sausages. I had an amazing coffee and was welcome to sit and relax, not rushed out. Dog was treated like a queen, they brought her a bowl of water and had treats for her. The value for money is phenomenal, the plate was full with really well seasoned food. It’s difficult to find places that welcome your dog so openly on a day out. We had no problem getting parked and were in walking distance of a lovely little park with a viewpoint over the river.
