Staff were very pleasant. The restaurant which was run by a religious organisation had to very friendly ladies working in it. I had the Soup and Pudding Lunchtime special. Both soup and the lovely hot pudding was home made and very welcome on a cold Scottish winters day. Excellent place for a light lunch.

I had the slow cooked lamb. The other person had the venison. Both were perfectly delicious. Service was attentive. Atmosphere was relaxing. A wonderful experience overall.
What a delicious dinner in amazing surroundings. We went for a bite as a special treat as it was a fair trek away but we will definately be back. I had the cod dish. The fish was perfectly cooked and the risotto and puree it came with were a perfect compliment. Hubby had the steak which was also good. We both then had the pistachio cake and poached rhubarb. The ambience and views were second to none and the food delicious. Looking forward to trying the fixed price menu the next time.
So glad we stopped here. Great food and drink choices. Our sandwiches were really delicious and the salad with it so fresh. The cakes looked too good to miss so we’ve brought two away with us for later!
The service was lovely - all ladies were delightful and our little dog Cari made a fuss of too with some dog treats.
Great to have a browse in the gallery and shop also. Lots of lovely things to buy. A must to pop in if you’re lash b it even take a detour!!
Greeted by a beautiful dog out front, we were very glad to have stopped for breakfast rolls at Jaggy Thistle Food Stop. Rolls were stunning, could taste how fresh everything was. Well well worth a stop!!
We booked here, thinking that we could have our tea during our planned visit to Torridon. I emailed the restaurant and got a response the following morning confirming our table for that evening. It was a bit of challenging drive, steep single track road over spectacular mountain scenery, and a good hour from where we were staying, and well worth making the trip. What a superb meal we had in this quirky and perfectly formed little restaurant! The creel caught langoustines were wonderful, and my husband said his venison was outstanding. Our son had a double bacon burger, and it defeated him (remarkable in itself). Aart was a super host and the place was full, so we felt lucky they could fit us in. Booking is a must, and you won’t be disappointed!
What a find, simply superb cafe, shop and staff. The cakes and scones are enormous so great value and we’ve already booked for breakfast on our way back.

A chance discovery and not to be missed if you are in this corner of Scotland! We were staying at Torridon Estate and drive on the most beautiful road - probably the best driving road in the UK! So remote, winding over the lochs and mountains until you drop down into Diabeg.
Delicious home cooked food by the fire and real family vibe!
