Excellent endroit. Petit déjeuner topissime. On a pris 1 full scottish pour 2 ! Amplement suffisant car très copieux pour juste 12 L !!! Accueil très chaleureux. Personne très soucieuse de votre bien être. Je recommande fortement.

After reading the great reviews, we drove to this fantastic cafe from Drumnadrochit. It truly lives up to its reputation. Hubby had the lamb burger and I had the homemade vegan burger- both were stunning and great portions. The team of ladies who run the cafe were super friendly and kind to everyone; trying to seat everyone quickly. Our only regret is that we were too full for cakes, but we will try and return before the end of our holiday. Thank you to all of the staff for an amazing lunch.

Great food (lamb burgers), gluten free options and excellent service. Inside and outside tables (tables may be occupied, however it is worth waiting).

I’ve visited a few times over the last 6 years with my son but it was the first time I’ve dragged my husband along. Needless to say it had a lot to live up to with all my stories of the wonderful staff and fantastic food. It didn’t fail! We had 2 amazing breakfasts whilst in the area and a stop for coffee and cake too. It totally lived up to my husband’s expectations and maybe exceeded them! Staff are so friendly and accommodating. Cakes are delicious and it is 110% worth the trip! Until next time, we’ll dream about the cake and black pudding!

Stopped for lunch on our drive from Inverness to Portree and it was fantastic. Highly recommended for lunch. I had the fish and chips and it was great.

Had a piece of chocolate cake from here about four years ago, and hadn’t stopped thinking about it since… thought it was about time for a return visit! Stopped by for an early lunch, had a BLT and a Salmon/cream cheese sandwich off the light bites menu with a coffee and a juice. Both sandwiches were great, good size portions. Lovely friendly staff. Followed this with a piece of chocolate Guinness cake—AMAZING! We’re local to Inverness and would happily come back, highly recommend it to locals and visitors alike.

We stopped by for tea/coffee and cake. This was our first visit and it will not be our last, for sure. It is small so busy, but the service is genuine to make you enjoy your visit. I won't tell you the two things that were offered to our order but it made the difference between very good and thoughtful genuine hospitality. The reason I won't tell you them is it sets them above other places we have tried in the area. The chocolate cake on the day we visited, was wow. I won't want to share a slice next time, I want my own. I am now wanting the recipe, I will be back asking for it, I'll give you my chocolate brownie recipe as a swop!

Amazing breakfast! We stopped here based on the reviews and weren’t disappointed. We are a family of four (7 year old twins) and they were so welcoming and accommodating. I had the full Scottish and it was so fresh and tasty! Great coffee too! They had a cute kids corner which kept our two entertained when we had finished breakfast and we fancied a second coffee. Well worth a visit thank you.

Dropped by for tea and cake after visiting Invermoriston Falls. Really excellent Orange & Marmalade cake. Decor could perhaps be a bit more 'cosy tea room', otherwise just lovely.

Our family found this little gem of a place to eat lunch on our way to Inverness. The good reviews are well deserved. Staff were warm and friendly. The food was delish and they were very accommodating with the GF needs of one of our group. They also have unique gifts to purchase. Definitely recommend a stop here for lunch if you are passing by.

We dropped in here to grab a bite to eat. Dog friendly as soon as we got through the door. Simple menu with enough choice for everyone. I chose a burger as recommended by staff. Burgers are never my first choice but I have to say that this was the best burger I have ever had. Really friendly staff here. Keep up the good work. This cafe has a friendly crew - chatty and informative. They provide fantastic cakes and the best hot chocolate ever. In addition, the background music was fab - Abba, The Bee Gees, Dolly Parton etc.

This is the third time we have eaten here. The food is excellent, tasty & plentiful and the staff are very welcoming & efficient. I will always stop here if passing by. Well recommended.

Very highly recommend this little cafe, it was too busy to sit in so we had take-away lunch of home made soup and sandwiches (gluten free) and it was superb.

Lovely breakfast and cake. My wife has various food allergies and the staff conscientiously took these on board and discussed an appropriate bespoke approach to her meal. Excellent throughout.

Great lunch. We had the soup of the day. A squash soop and their salmon on leaves with potato salad. We enjoyed it. Pricing is decent, not cheap, but not expensive either. The service is good, and there is a nice, clean ambiance. We went on after lunch. They also Have a vast collection of home made pies.

Stopped for breakfast here while cycling the great glen Way. Vicky and Amy were fantastic and provided excellent service. We had the full Scottish breakfast with Lattes. The food was delicious and coffee excellent. The cafe has both indoor and out door seating. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a bite to eat or coffee and cake while in Invermoriston.

What a brilliant find. The staff were so friendly. I took my dog and it was such a welcoming atmosphere for doggies. I was so impressed with the food, brilliant value for money and all homemade. I live on the Loch and this is 100% the best cafe in the highlands. The chips are a complete must have along with the daily freshly baked cakes!

Been here a few years ago and thought we would try again. New owners from previous visit and they are extremely friendly and give a very happy atmosphere in these awkward times.We were travelling by motorcycle and parking is good. I shared a soup/sandwich and cake and all was superb. Large helpings and great quality. Pity we don't live closer as this would be a regular stop. Seems to be well supported by the local community which shows how well the girls have blended in with the surrounding villages. Keep up the good work.

Stopped off en route home from Inverness, Warm welcome on arrival, great coffee ( local from Inverness ).Food was excellent, would highly recommended the spicy lamb burger ( as with most of their produce, locally sourced ), service was excellent. Best of all was the chocolate fudge cake we took home and demolished.... Good old fashioned home baking.Would highly recommend anyone passing to stop and enjoy the hospitality.

Ill be honest from the outside doesn't look that special but looks can be very deceiving. Breakfast was amazing, tasty, non greasy and plentiful. Coffee very good. Service excellent. In these uncertain times i really take my hat off to services that can deliver quality as you find here. A lot of places have chucked the toywel in but credit to the proprietors that have stuck it out. Hopefully I will return.

Staff here were very friendly, and were also helpful in pointing out suitable local walks. I got the full vegan cooked breakfast which was delicious and filling. They also sell a few gifts and local items.

I wish I'd taken a picture of the lunch before we scoffed it. What a find!!! You sit outside under a marquee so there's no need to faff about with masks. The staff are SO lovely. We ordered 2 soups (home made vegetable soup) and a sandwich between us. The lady advised they were big portions and that she would split one portion of soup between us as well as the 1 sandwich. Well I couldn't believe she was doing herself out of a sale in these difficult times. These hearty bowls of soup with a sandwich, with extra delicious bread and a side salad arrived and we couldn't even finish them. Absolutely delicious, the best lunch we've had so far. Can't recommend this little gem enough.

Everything is home made and you can tell. Okay, so, I don't eat Lamb burgers all the time but this was the best I've ever tasted! Veggie options also very tasty. Coffee good quality and well made.Staff were so friendly and helpful even though they were working hard and providing table service, we sat outside because it was a nice day.We stopped at a few places while walking the Great Glen way and the Rowan Glen was outstanding compared to the others.

After reading all the glowing reviews we decided to visit this cafe. First thing to say is that in these difficult times you feel totally safe . The owners have obviously put the safety of their customers before profit. We received a very warm welcome from the owners and they were more than happy to tweak the menu. I had a bacon roll with Stornoway black pudding and tomato ,it was massive and delicious . The lamb burgers are something else and the cakes were also very tempting . Really good coffee at a strength of your choosing . From my experience I can safely say that the chef has worked at a very high level ,and used quality ingredients (not the case in a few other establishments we visited)We would be happy to make a detour to visit this cafe next year . Would highly recommend you give it a try .

A friend and I were coming to the cafe after a long and very wet walk and needed travel information. Not only were we greeted in a very welcoming manner, but the staff leaped to help us with travel info; they offered us faster service so that we could make the bus and even offered for us to dry our belongings off inside. The food was delicious too, the perfect stop off for any hiker.

Visited here for lunch based on the previous excellent reviews, which are well deserved.Very friendly staff and Covid-19 compliant. We ate outside in a covered area. The sandwiches were huge and tasty (with salad bowl and crisps) Nice to be asked if we wanted one or two shots of coffee in our lattes.Enjoyed the visit so much, that we returned later in the afternoon for more coffee and Victoria Sponge.

Excellent find and have been twice this week. Very COVID safe, friendly and welcoming staff. The food is fresh and well prepared and fantastic value. Plan to visit every time we are in the area as not only is it a great cafe the location is relaxed compared to other places nearby.

Stopped in here this morning and received the friendliest welcome and the best breakfast rolls. Good quality produce. Extra care given to my elderly mother who was with us. Well done girls, you deserve to do well.

We were staying locally in self catering accomodation and ventured in here for breakfast. Exceptionally friendly and engaging service and a full breakfast to die for! The coffee was carefully selected and it showed. My wife is a smoked salmon officianado and was very impressed with their's even by Highlands & Islands standards. If you are planning on self catering within striking distance of Invermoriston and need the "oomph" to go hiking (or even driving!) this is your breakfast solution.

We arrived late on a Sunday when the kitchen had shut. The chef overheard we had walked from Fort Augustus and offered to stay open to feed us. We were so grateful. Really lovely customer service - brought out citronella candles to help with the midges and offered a takeout box for the cake (delicious!!) we didn't manage to finish. The sandwiches were great - I had a BLT and the filling was generous and good quality. The chef went above and beyond and brought us some chips too. They seemed to really care. Not much in the area to compete but definitely worth their five stars regardless. Really enjoyed our experience - top notch service and food. Thanks so much.

I've been to the Glen Rowan Café a few times now, and it has been consistently excellent. Good food, friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. I have no doubt I'll be back again. 🙂

Been there a handful of times now so I might be what you’d call a regular visitor. It’s a great stop off with attentive service and quality food. It’s been freshly and professionally decorated recently so it is a nice environment to eat in.I must admit that I’m concerned about COVID but I need’t have worries because the staff have it all well covered and I felt as safe as houses.I look forward to popping in again next time I’m passing on my bike.Oldrat

We got some great bacon rolls and hot drinks to go. The bacon was the nicest I’d had in ages, and the staff were so happy to help (eg doing bacon despite it being past breakfast service time, doing it extra crispy, etc). And the hot chocolate was just as good. Highly recommend!

Ideal place to stop as we were heading to Loch Ness from Skye. There are not many options to choose from along the route and we were thrilled we found this little gem! The staff are super friendly, gorgeous home made cakes, and a ‘proper’ coffee. The table was vigorously sanitised before letting us sit down! Great place!

Warm welcome (in the rain!) at family run cafe. Perfect for lunch whilst driving through - great fish and hand cut chips, best BLT Hubble says he’s ever had, and big wedges of coffee cake and chocolate cake to finish. Will try and fit in a return visit on our way back to Inverness. Seating outside due to COVID under gazebo or picnic benches.

This was our 2nd visit and the food is still as good as ever! Really friendly staff and a breakfast that's so filling that it kept us going till dinnertime.

Stopped in for dinner on the way back to our touring base this year. Gorgeous cafe in a lovely setting. Very attentive staff who couldn't have been more helpful. Had a Lamb burger which was fantastic, others in group had other items and came to same conclusion. Well worth a visit, ample parking. Gorgeous little cafe with the friendliest staff. We stopped here for lunch and despite it being incredibly busy, the staff made us feel so very welcome. The food was good. Excellent roadside location, very handy for us when travelling. All rules with regard to Covid were followed perfectly.

My husband, son (4) & I had breakfast here this morning. My husband said he would rate the breakfast a 12 out of 10. Best breakfast he had had in a while, as a ex chef this is quite something. Staff were very attentive & very friendly. Sat outside in the sun enjoying the lovely views. Would highly recommend.

A chance visit but we were left wanting more. Absolutely superb homemade burgers and chips and exceptional service too. The ladies could not have made us feel more welcome and could not do enough for us. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone that is in the area and we will certainly be returning for breakfast before leaving for home. They have promised that it will keep us going until we are back near Birmingham. Well done ladies.... Hospitality and home cooked food at its best!

Came across the Cafe purely by accident while cycling the Great Glen Way... after a day of Rain and mucky weather had stopped at Invermoriston to refuel and clean up... with no facilities open and by chance met Amy and Vicki while looking for somewhere and they could not have been nicer... lovely couple who opened the Cafe so we could get food and even went above and beyond to open up there home so we could get showered and cleaned.. could not recommend enough.. absolute kindness and true hospitality with amazing food... will make sure this cafe is on my list of visits for future trips in the area.

We visited the cafe for coffee and breakfast to our way from Fort Williams to Ullapool. Coffee was very good, especially the cappuccino, and we really enjoyed the breakfast. The eggs were excellent, but our favourite one was the potato scone. The service was great, very friendly and helpful and they even suggested places to visit while travelling north. We highly recommend to visit the place if you are nearby!

Owners very friendly and fantastic service.I had the homemade burger which was wonderful.My wife had the vegan burger which she says was wonderful too.Will visit again when possible.If travelling from Fort William to isle of skye its worth the detour. Don't take the skye road at Fort William and continue until the Invermoriston turn then Glen Rowan cafe is on the right.

Food was amazing, couldn’t believe my eyes when my cheese and chutney sandwich came out. I couldn’t manage it all and they offered to give me a take away box. My husband had a burger and said it was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend.

Stopped by chance and had really good coffee and hot chocolate. Lovely staff, full of local knowledge. Can't comment on the food because we lonly had dirnks but it looked good.

We stopped here for lunch on our way north. What a wonderful place. Great staff, amazing gluten free options and a classic vinyl playing in the background.

As a fully paid up member of the burger eaters club this place is amazing. 100% genuine home made burgers. My wife assures me the sandwiches are also great. The coffee is fantastic and the hot chocolate resembles the local mountain ranges with its whipped cream and marshmallows. I highly recommend a visit.

My husband and I have been traveling Europe for the last four weeks and this cafe gave us the best cappuccino we have had since leaving Port Macquarie, NSW Australia. Their food was outstanding as well.

Went hear twice, the first time after a long walk, there were very accommodating with a group of 9 of us. The second time was for breakfast the following day. Both times the food was amazing, fresh home produced as delicious.

Chilly from our cruise on Loch Ness we were in need of a cup of tea and a piece of cake! My husband from Glen Rowan cafe on here and we were not disappointed. Fresh cake. Perfect tea! The lady who served us was incredibly friendly! Also she was born close to home so it was lovely to chit chat about that! Its a nice little stop and has seats outside too if the weather is inclined to be warm! Thank you!

best coffee in scotland. it was perfect. thank goodness we stopped and came back to have one. very friendly staff,excellent service and it was good to have a chat and get some local info. we shared a homemade cake and after one mouthful i wished we hadnt shared and got one each. good parking and there are a few gift items to buy in the cafe.

A welcome cup of tea and some fantastic cakes were to be found here. Friendly staff, excellent service and good refreshments. Convenient car park. All in all a good to place to break a journey.

Brilliant place to stop for a light bite or lunch, the cakes were fabulous and the service was second to none. There were some beautiful locally sourced gifts on sale too, picked up a few for friends and family.

Came in for breakfast met with happy, helpful and polite staff. The food was very good along with a very delicious selection of sweet treats millionaire shortbread.

The Glen Rowan cafe was a highlight of our trip to Loch Ness. Such a warm welcoming place. The staff were cheery and very friendly and the food was incredibly delicious, with a fantastic menu. We had both lunch and breakfast here and both were excellent. It was a great place to escape the rain and plan the next leg of our roadtrip. I also really like their "plastic free" approach which was particularly refreshing to find in the Scottish Highlands. It's a shame that the cafe is so far from my home in London, because it's the sort of place I could see myself going to daily!

We had coffee, hot chocolate and homemade cake (Victoria Sponge and Chocolate). Everything was excellent, the cafe is clean and welcoming and the staff very, very friendly. Definitely worth a stop.

We visited the Glen Rowan cafe for breakfast and we weren't dissapointed.

Super lunch spot, friendly and swift. Kids portions are really generous - happy 11 year old ate fish & chips. Husband had Arran cheddar & pickle. Nothing was too much trouble and we were even loaned the wasp zapper sitting outside with the dog. This is a really lovely, friendly place with brilliant fresh food. Do visit if you pass through Loch Ness.

Just had lunch here and it really does live up to its TripAdvisor reviews. We decided to stop on our way back to the other side of Loch Ness where we were staying. The owners/staff were really welcoming and chatty. We had 2 x BLT sandwiches and a salmon and cream cheese sandwich. The bread was divine and there was plenty of fillings. They happily made our son's BLT without the T as he doesn't like soggy bread! The coffee was excellent too. If we ever venture to Skye we will definitely stop here again either for lunch or breakfast before heading down the A887. Don't pass this place by, you won't be disappointed.

We had the soup of the day with really fresh bread, a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich again on fantastic freshly baked bread with a side salad and chips and the salmon salad which was divine. For years we have been travelling up and down the A9, often hoping that we will find somewhere nice to stop and have a break. Until today, we never thought of turning off down the Skye road; we just happened to see a handmade sign. And what a gem we found! Fantastic sandwiches, lovely tea and coffee and the most helpful and polite service, all at a sensible price. Fresh, soooo much filling and delicious. The cakes looked great too, we were just too full. I know we will be back! Thank you!

After burning my mouth and almost losing all faith in Scottish road-side cafes from some random 'cafe' outside Braemar, we stumbled across this gem where I hesitantly ordered a triple cappuccino. Much to my delight, this was hands down the BEST coffee I've ever had in Scotland throughout our many years of travels.

We were driving through and saw this place. So pleased we did. Staff really friendly and as for the food lovely and really good portions. We had cake and two sandwiches. The fillings were huge and also came with crisps and salad. Plus the taste was excellent. Highly recommend the salmon and cream cheese and coronation chicken plus the Victoria sponge cake. Don’t drive by stop and enjoy you will not be disappointed. Pleased we stopped.

What a fabulous place we have stumbled across, the meals are delicious and definitely value for money. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Could not ask for more from a cafe, only negative is that we didn’t find glen Roman cafe sooner before we go home.

Visited at different times of the day, staff always friendly even when a bit busy, they still give you their full attention and can recommend places off the beaten track to visit. We're so pleased we took their advice.

Stopped here on the way to Skye and what a find! The sandwiches were the best we as a family have had. So good we’re the sandwiches and coffee that we stopped on the way back from our holiday a week later. Staff were very friendly and looked happy in their work. They even have a small children’s play area with train track and books.

Small wooden cafe' with excellent cakes...much needed courage after a long drive. We truly enjoyed this break after a long drive from Isle of Skye, going towards Inverness. Wholesome food, excellent coffee, and very helpful and friendly staff.
