The only downside was that the card machine wasn't working.

At the risk of sounding pompous,, my family and I have spent thousands upon thousands in this restaurant over the years. We've been going for over 25+ years. Ordered a takeaway tonight and got my usual, Tandoori king prawn for the princely sum of £22.40. What does one get for that? 3 prawns. Yes, THREE prawns. T-H-R-E-E. It used to be 10-12. The other food was just alright. Not bad at all but not what we used to expect under the previous owner. Very oily. It's very disappointing to spend this much at a restaurant we have so many good memories of.

Wok this way has taken over dings Chinese takeaway! And I 10/10 would defiantly recommend! Food was so fresh and very tasty! They offer smaller portions which I love as I always like a little bit of everything! Delighted to have a good local Chinese back!! Il be back next weekend 😂

Classic menu selection and consistent the majority of the time. However, the food is always a rare treat for the soul, got to love the size of the Chicken Fried Rice portions and the Curry Sauce tubs.

Well that was a dismal failure. We checked on the website and also on Facebook and it said open 12-2 so great. Arrived at nearly 12.30 and all dark and locked. Clearly not serving lunch as advertised. Why bother advertising it at all. Or if something sudden had happened just put a note on FB and on the door. We have tried a few times to come and failed so now we’ll give up. Just wasting our time

£4.60 for a portion of disgusting reheated chips. Couldn’t even get the dog to eat them !. Definitely won’t be getting our custom again. One star given, only because zero is not an option.

I had the chicken goujons (cant spell it) which was just 4 big chunks of battered chicken and the chicken was a teeny bit greasy but was absolutely delicious. Batter was cooked to perfection as were the chips :) delivery was rapid too

Oh dear. I’m a lifelong Wimpy fan, since I was a teenage schoolboy in Essex where there were (and still are) numerous Wimpy franchises. Many a happy Saturday brunch had in the Grays Wimpy, which was run until very recently by the same lovely family as it had been for decades. Forced to close by a sky high rent rise Anyway I digress. I’m in the area every so often, and love, love, love a wimpy. Halfpounder and chips, always. And in the Wimpy Dingwall it’s always been very nice. Not a busy store whenever I have visited, and a little dated. But clean, and friendly I called on on a Saturday recently and being earlier than usual, decided it was too early for a burger ( there I said it but still don’t really believe it) so I went for a breakfast: The Great Wimpy: 2 Breakfast sausages, 2 bacon slices, 2 fried eggs, Heinz® Baked Beans, griddled half tomato & a slice of toast Disappointed isn’t a word I use often. But I was with this. I don’t know what a “breakfast sausage” is, it must be a euphemism for a meatless sausage. Tasteless, textureless. The bacon had been griddled, some parts blackened and some parts undercooked. Two fried eggs, neither were runny…. The tomato half, beans and toast were ok as I would expect Usually a woman does the cooking here (I believe she is the owner) but today’s cook was a guy. I heard lots of pinging from microwaves I have no idea if the sausages are wimpy specification, or a substitute. I know they were awful. So I’d be surprised if they are wimpy approved. Fried eggs… difficult to cook them so the yolks are runny? No, not at all. I manage and I’m not employed in a catering environment. It certainly wasn’t because the place was busy, it wasn’t, with a max 8 guests in during the meal I forget how much this cost, it will have been around £10 of the King’s finest pounds. It was grim. The only saving graces were that the young girl who was waitressing was efficient, polite and lovely. And I could have a wee in their loo before leaving, since I had a relatively long trip ahead Will I go back? Possibly as I love a Wimpy Halfpounder (or double original quarter pounder cheese as it’s now know ) as I think the special sauce and brown bun make it something really unique. I’ll never ever entertain a breakfast in a Wimpy again

The menu includes fish, meat, veggie options. Plated with class and served pleasantly by staff. One night I had the carrot wellington which had particularly good filling of carrot, onion, and spinach. Another night had the creamy risotto with asparagus & peas. Both were very satisfying. Desserts outstanding. The Carnacrach looked scruptious but I chose poached pear for a lighter choice. Had the Toffee Cake with sauce and the smallest scoop of vanilla ice cream. I would’ve enjoyed a little more ice cream with this large piece of cake.

Even the owner was wearing a coat! I think you should be able to sit comfortably and eat without the need to wear a coat! At 12.15 the soup wasn't ready yet... The place lacked atmosphere as well. The food we ordered was nice but minimal - no salad with a toasty. I wouldn't go again

Friendly welcome from staff. It’s not a store I would think to come to but I’m glad I popped in and found the Old Dairy coffee shop! Easy and free car parking is always a bonus! Good menu ,soups, All day breakfast, hot rolls, panini’s and great selection of home baked cakes on offer. Also my friend is Gluten free she had a full breakfast it even had gluten free haggis! She also took a gluten free scone home with her that she said was the Best she had ever tasted! Coffee is from the Inverness roasting company so always good to see a local company using another! We will be back very soon!
