Friendly welcome from staff. It’s not a store I would think to come to but I’m glad I popped in and found the Old Dairy coffee shop! Easy and free car parking is always a bonus! Good menu ,soups, All day breakfast, hot rolls, panini’s and great selection of home baked cakes on offer. Also my friend is Gluten free she had a full breakfast it even had gluten free haggis! She also took a gluten free scone home with her that she said was the Best she had ever tasted! Coffee is from the Inverness roasting company so always good to see a local company using another! We will be back very soon!

Feel a bit guilty for not reviewing this Coffee Shop after one of our many excellent visits. Fridays visit was very disappointing, maybe the fact that a normally heaving dining area was all but empty should have rang alarm bells. Tables were uncleared service was very slow, the egg on my breakfast was like rubber, in spite of it clearly not being touched we weren’t asked if we enjoyed our food. Yes I could have asked for a replacement egg however I figured out if it took as long to come out of the kitchen as the previous one it wasn’t going to be any better. I hope some staff training will bring this coffee shop back to its former glory or Friday was just a blip for some reason.

Nice for a coffee and bakery, or a bowl of soup but menu very limited for a lunch especially for dietary restrictions

This is an honest and unpretentious coffee shop and café, which is friendly, has efficient service and the food is always good. It's located in the Frank Nicol premises with easy parking right outside, and I'd recommend it to local folk and tourists alike.

After reading some of the reviews, I now fully understand the energy here. And after seeing how the owner replies to criticism — it’s clear the truth isn’t always welcome at Coffee Affair. I didn’t write this straight away. I left feeling a bit uneasy, but it wasn’t until I read someone else’s review — someone I actually spoke to in person while there — that I felt I needed to say something. Let me be clear: The man in question did not have a laptop out. I didn’t have one out either. He was being friendly, polite, and simply existing like any normal customer. He was told to put it away, and eventually he did — only to then be asked to leave, for no real reason. We ended up chatting afterwards, and when I saw the review he left — and especially the owner’s reply — I was shocked. The response was not truthful. I was sitting right there. I watched it all unfold. It’s disappointing to see a business not only treat customers poorly, but then double down and rewrite the situation in replies. Responding with honesty and humility would’ve gone further. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values respect or transparency.

It's a charismatic pub by the river, and has a nice vibe about it. We've been a few times over the years, and the food is pretty standard; burgers and a few other things. Veggie choice is not massive, although their sweet potato and chick pea burger was very good. They provide a good range of Scottish beer, from Cairngorm and Fyne Ales.
