Collected food from here a few times. Breakfast rolls and lunches have been great! Definitely been missing them while they are closed during this lockdown!! Hopefully they will be open soon

First time visiting and will absolutely be back. Staff were lovely and welcoming, food was exceptional. Everything was tasty and delicious

Upmarket restaurant in a small country village serving a delicious, good quality range of food. We enjoyed Saturday night dinner at this restaurant and I was particularly impressed when the days special was Ox Cheek. It did not disappoint! I enjoyed a melt-in-the-mouth beautifully prepared dish and was toiling to finish it all. Thankfully we'd shared bruschetta to start...the portion was more than enough for two and it was delicious. I'd highly recommend 119 and will most definitely be back.

Lovely owners, very friendly and love a wee chat! Food made to order and waiting time great! We had chicken fried rice and beef fried rice with free prawn crackers on the side. Both were delicious and would highly recommend this place

The Dean is a great place to go for food and beverages before or after a tour of the National Mining Museum in Newtongrange. We had their special house pasta and pizza. Both were very tasty and service was quick and friendly. This is a local place, so prices were very reasonable.

Just a nice day out with a friend for lunch and time out .lovely meal and lovely service. Pity the after sales service was shocking taking more than 3x times extra amount out of my account and ignoring E mAils and hanging up on my calls

A hidden gem in a lovely setting near Edinburgh. Friendly service, the best bacon rolls ever, delicious scones, cakes and traybakes, along with excellent coffee or tea and a variety of soft drinks. A bonus is the craft work on sale made by local artisans. Can't recommend it enough! Eliz

This place was amazing friendly and extremely lovely food. Sadly its closed due to issues with pipes/drainage all us locals are still hoping it reopens had the best macaroni in midlothian (in my opinion) and was handy to grab a coffee while waiting on the train.

Food was ok, don’t cater well enough for kids in my opinion, no children’s cutlery etc, my 4 year old ordered chicken strips, instead was served a battered chicken breast, was like the chef could be bothered slicing the bloody thing up before cooking it. Fish and chips were ok, fish nicely cooked and batter was crispy , hardly any chips with them though , also no mushy peas as stated in the menu, instead a small pot of garden peas was provided, for £19 everything should have been spot on! Room was so smoky due to the fire, we were all stinking of smoke when we came out, needs sorting. 3 kids ice creams, each with 1 scoop each, £3per scoop? Really? Most restaurants I go to the kids get a complimentary ice cream after there meal, especially when a kids meal costs £8. First time I’ve been here, won’t be back in a hurry. Overpriced

Absolutely terrible service, we never received our food and after several calls to the restaurant they finally informed us the driver was scared to make the delivery because it was dark outside, what?? We have requested a refund and may need to go the legal route on this one.

Ive heard mixed reviews but thought I would try it here and I loved it. Took about 25 minutes for food to be ready but that's normal for places! Food was good couldn't fault it. Staff were friendly aswell. Will definitely be going back.
