Chips not cooked very hard whent into bin

Absolutely shocking the way we where spoken to in this shop.... My wife is exempt from wearing a face mask the guy was very abrupt but another customer was there without a faceask but was only asked after the man was abrupt with my wife absolutely disgusting the way we where treated.... Won't be ordering again and will be letting friends and family know..... Absolutely no need to speak to people the way he did I have one very upset wife she had her excempt card on and showed him it.... As I said we normally order alot but never again and family and friends probably won't want to order again either.... My wife should get an apology for the upset this has caused

Brilliant food with a good twist on your traditional chippy. Lovely welcoming staff who remember their customers well and generous portion sizes that aren't actually compensating for flavour. After further orders food seems to have slipped in standard and flavour compared to when it was first opened.

Not impressed went here one day. Was just ordering 2 x single fish as we were trying to be healthier. Asked him wud he add one chip so could try them for future as love chips. Said had to buy a portion. Normally most chip shops will give a few complimentary chips. Miserable man. Fish was ok. I come to Newtongrange so often to visit family too.

If you like your pizza spicy then this is the place to go , ask for the burning bum bum pizza it won’t disappoint . A delight for all those sadistic chilly fanatics feel the fire . Cool down with a strawberry shake made with real strawberries

Was passing through Midlothian and stumbled upon this little chip shop. Most certainly will be back at some point again as the food was excellent, staff were friendly and prices were great value for what we got!! Highly recommend!!

It's not what's on the menu it's who's on the menu

First time I've visited MC's and it won't be the last. My sister and I ordered fish and shared chips. The fish is the best I've ever tasted....the batter was crispy and the fish flaked apart...unlike many other chippies where the fish is stuck together like glue! The chips were delicious...peeled that day from real tatties, not your pre-packed, frozen chips. The variety of food to choose from is exciting and novel. Tony, Diane, Michele and Marco are friendly and welcoming....and definitely know their stuff. I'd recommend you give them a visit...you won't be disappointed.

Got a family muchie box that u pick what you want that most takeaways don't do and excellent service and food definitely be back 👍

Waited on fish being cooked from scratch and OMG the wait was so worth the wait!😅 staff charming and food fresh and clean packed with atmospfer inside small family ran the place beautifully... I defo will be going again. Thanks guys xx
