A hidden gem in a lovely setting near Edinburgh. Friendly service, the best bacon rolls ever, delicious scones, cakes and traybakes, along with excellent coffee or tea and a variety of soft drinks. A bonus is the craft work on sale made by local artisans. Can't recommend it enough! Eliz

I've been here twice now with my friend and our two babies. The owner, Angelina, is so welcoming and kind which creates a lovely atmosphere. The coffee and cakes are amazing! The giant slab of chocolate cake I got last time was incredible! The cafe also sells a variety of local gift-type items (paintings, jams, honey, cards) so it's worth having a browse of those too! Will definitely be back again.

Angelina’s Coffee and Snug is a fantastic find for strangers to the area. We had been to Rosslyn Chapel and was looking for somewhere to have coffee after we left. On finding the place we were pleasantly surprised at the great location (3 circular routes to walk with our dog) adjacent to the golf course. The food on offer is good and very tasty. We had the freshly made bacon roll and homemade chocolate cake; both of which were very tasty and delicious. One very minor point is that this gold mine of the coffee shop could benefit from one more member of staff to keep the waiting times done to a reasonable amount. Definitely worth the visit but ensure you have the time to wait for the excellent service on offer.

My friend and I had Afternoon Tea at Angelina's Coffee Snug recently - a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere and Angela the owner is such a friendly happy person and makes everyone feel really welcome. Lots of lovely local made 'nic-nacs for you to buy all around The Snug.'The Afternoon Tea is absolutely delicious. A great and very generous selection of home made 'goodies' which includes 2 small hot sausage rolls each, 2 finger rolls with different fillings each, a fruit scone and a plain scone each, with butter, and home made clotted cream and jam on the side. A selection of various little home made cakes. All served with either a pot of tea or your preferred coffee and also a glass of water. I have had many Afternoon Teas and I can honestly say this is the best Afternoon Tea I have ever had, both for quality and price. You need to book and give Angela two days notice. Very highly recommended.

My friend and I spent over 2 hours in the snug. We had a couple of coffees each, bacon rolls ( delicious) and tasty cakes (very generous portions). The snug was clean. Angela was friendly and happy to tell us what was on the menu that day. Look forward to going back

My first visit to play golf at Whitehill House Golf Course in Rosewell on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The course itself is very nice, not long but interesting enough to keep you going. A number of long short holes where you need to be on your game. Relatively unknown in Scotland but I hope that changes as more people play it. A definite hidden gem. The coffee snug attached to the course is a wonderfully friendly place with owner, Angelina make everyone feel welcome. Open for all types of coffee/tea, cakes etc. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend you try here.

Popped in here on our way to the airport from northumberland. The ladies who served us were so warm and welcoming. The scones were handmade and delicious. So sad this little gem isn’t on our doorstep

Stopped at Brunch Box on a whim while road tripping from Edinburgh to the Lake District, could not have been happier with the service or the food. The woman working there even happily made a off-menu
