The best restaurants in North Berwick Coastal East Lothian Edinburgh and Lothian

Superb lunch at La Potiniere. We are just home after being so well looked after with the most delicious food. I've recently been diagnosed as in tolerant to lactose and it makes eating out more difficult but not in this restaurant you are just catered for and given the most tasty well balanced dishes. It is a small intimate restaurant but welcoming and elegant. I can't praise it enough.

Delicious coffee and scones with amazing friendliness from the ladies serving. Can’t wait to return. Tables were filling up fast. Only on street parking is available but not a great issue.

We very much enjoyed an amazing platter for two. A whole prepared lobster, champagne lobster pate, dressed crab, prawn cocktail, smoked salmon, hot smoked salmon, a box of super Greek salad,oatcakes, crusty bread. It was beautifully presented and delivered on a covered platter. Enough amazing food to last us a couple of days. Highly recommend all their products,produced by a small family business.

Came across this little cafe while stopping after a work meeting and so glad we did! Such great value for a large roll with filling of choice and was enchanted to be served tea in a real China teacup and saucer! Friendly service too thank you will definitely return when in the area!

Having no knowledge of North Berwick restaurants, this turned out to be a winner recommended by friends of friends who know the local scene. The limited lunch menu included well-chosen dishes which offered wide choices to suit even the most discerning customers and also, of equal importance , was the service by delightful, attentive and professional staff. Next time we need an escape from Edinburgh, we shall have no hesitation in heading straight to Osteria and will highly recommend it to friends

the best ribs and the best burgers. so fresh, so full of flavour, so f***ing impressed! 10/10 when you try the ribs you'll swear your at a back yard bbq in texas trying ribs for the first time the burger was a massive double burger with fresh chillie con carnie on it, the chillie wasnt that store bought bulls**t but fresh full of spice and flavours, with a generous helping of jalapenons on the base. we will be hurrying back here next chance we have!

Gave this restaurant a try and was not disappointed. Service was excellent and food was fresh and tasty. Smoked haddock was nice and tasty so it's a thumbs up from me. Next time we are in North Berwick we will book here for food

Both the service and each of the meals that six of us chose were excellent on the night. The staff were attentive put not pushy

Had dinner with our family and friends on s Saturday night. Staff were helpful and really good with the kids. No physical children’s menu but they can do smaller portions for them. All of the food was really nice. I would say very tasty but not memorable. Not a cheap meal out either

Well the food was passable.. quantity for the price I'd say was less than other places. The plates were covered in chips.. chipped plates is a breeding ground for germs. The service was good. They allows dogs in the cafe but they dont seem to bother to clean properly. Disgusted by the cleanliness . Environmental health need to visit
