Excellent food and service, relaxed atmosphere, good selection on menu, tray bake and scones are delicious. Also often visit for a coffee after using the gym.

Poor experience with very rude staff member. Whilst ordering a takeaway, the person taking the order was probably the most abrupt and rude individual I’ve ever had the displeasure to meet. Shame because the food was good , and the area very clean. Will not visit again. Am in the area for extended work so probably would have visited several times a week. Will take my custom elsewhere.

I think her name was shakira! She was so polite and seemed like she was holding the fort for being really busy she was the fasted person in there and really knew what she was doing. Well done!

I’ve been eating from dragon way since I was a kid best Chinese I’ve ever tried we order from them at least once a week and always get a massive order for Christmas couldn’t be more pleased About to make an order now 😉

We visited Lucas on Sun 25 Aug and 30 Aug frequently attend here on both occasions I had to return my main course as they were both barely warm 1 was pizza the other mushroom pasta the waitress was apologetic and said this would get heated up in the microwave. Another couple who were sitting at the next table had to wait an eternity for their meals we had our main course & our dessert before the couples meal arrived as they had already asked waitress where it was and was told kitchen was busy the couple had been more than patient. I am unsure if the chef has been changed the food seems to be not to the usual standard. Not once has the waitresses when having your meal if everything is ok! This should come as standard.. very disappointed. Therefore after another disappointing visit today it will be sone considerable tine or not at all when we will be back.

I am so disappointed in our visit as we were really looking forward to a nice lunch and a catch up. We arrived to be presented with the Grotto Christmas menu, not what we were expecting, and at no time was I informed this is what the menu would be!! I asked if this was all that was available, and was told yes. We were hoping for a sandwich and on a website menu noticed Croque Monsieur, Eggs Royale or Eggs Woodland was offered, which we were looking forward to. Instead we ended up with Chicken terrine which arrived with limp rocket and a very small piece of toasted bread. We were asked if we wanted sauces, with hindsight a drop of something might have helped. This was quite tasteless, and in no way looked appetising. Fortunately we ordered curly fries which kept us going. My booking form has a spot for menu, which when you look at only takes you to customer reviews. If I had been aware this menu was what we would have been offered, I would not have booked. We have visited twice before, once for lunch, which we have a favorable memory of, and last year for afternoon tea at Christmas so we had a reasonable idea of what to expect. Needless to say we did not stay for coffee or dessert. And at 4p short of £20.00 it was an expensive disaster.

This place is dirty. Tables nit cleaned. I cleaned it myself. Floor dirty and dropped food all over it. It 3asnt even busy

The worst customer service from the European lady with short dark hair. Completely rude and unpleasant. Will not be back. What a way to value your customers - serving up such an outright awfully bad attitude for no reason. And the blonde lady serving who heard the rude behaviour and server muttering under her breathe and of course said nothing. Disappointing to treat customers this way when I was happy to come into your shop and left feeling awful (and with a different topping than I had asked for), for no reason other than the European woman clearly being in a foul mood. Will be advising everyone I know to not reward u with business. What a disappointment.

Excellent service and piping hot food.

Had a really nice meal. Staff very efficient and friendly. Busy for a Wednesday evening but seemed to run seamlessly.

Food was out of this world, visiting the area and glad I called in honestly would recommend to anyone local or visiting five star food and five star staff, left feeling sad I live so far away but I will be back
