The best restaurants in Strathearn Perth & Kinross Central Scotland

What a set of idiots, we booked for 22 people to eat at 8 pm, at 6.45 we receive a call to say can we place our orders now over the phone so they can prepare the food, so much for freshly cooked, we insisted we want to order when we arrive, nope we can't do that as we close at 9.30, so we had to cancel the booking. We had just driven 250 miles to get to Crieff and the last thing we wanted was to sort out from everybody in 8 bedrooms what they would like to eat in 1 hours time.

We visited the Quiach for dinner with our dog when staying at a local caravan park. The Quiach had a really warm, welcoming atmosphere for us & the dog who was greeted with pats, treats & water. Service was really exceptional. Menu was basic, a few of the small plates were sold out but the food we did have (fish & chips with a side of onion rings) was really good - well presented, big portions, well cooked and tasty. Would recommend.

On holiday, so had to try the local curry house. Excellent value for money. Need to relocate The Gurkhas to the South Coast! Will certainly be back, next time we visit

Excellent. We loved it. Staff so friendly, food excellent. Beautiful view from restaurant. Bedroom comfy and cosy. Nothing too much trouble.

We needed to buy some last-minute desserts for vegan visitors. The shop had closed but the owner saw us and opened up the shop for us. We told him what we needed and he took us through everything that could fit, not rushing us in the slightest. The shop had a great range of vegan desserts and we managed to get exactly what we wanted. Very friendly and personal customer service. We will definitely be back.

We booked to go here and then read some of the reviews, so were a little apprehensive about eating at the restaurant. The restaurant was very quiet when we arrived at 7pm, and then about half an hour later, 4 more people came in who are clearly regulars. We love Thai food so we’re hoping we weren’t going to be disappointed. Because of the few bad reviews we decided to order just mains. I had the massaman curry and my husband had the krapow. Both meals were absolutely delicious, full of flavour and cooked perfectly. My husband then decided to order starters, unfortunately these weren’t as nice as the mains. The chicken satay was ok but the fish cakes were a little greasy. Overall, we had a pleasant meal and the staff were friendly and helpful. If we had enjoyed the starters more, we woukd have given 5 stars.

Staff very friendly. Allowed us to takeaway an order close to closing time. Spaghetti bolognaise was the best I have had in a while.

Absolutely brilliant weekend. Family time with sister brother in law, brother sister in law and sister’s sister in law and husband. Well that’s a bit of a tongue twister. We had a fabulous weekend together. Weather wasn’t great but the service and meals made up for it. Food was of the highest standard. Good quality and healthy home made recipe’s with plenty of it made our visit all the more special. Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Very clean with an emphasis on Covid 19 safety precautions. Every member of our group agreed that they would certainly go back for another visit, so we have booked rooms for the same time next year. Good selection of shop made chocolate Bought “animal “ shaped chocolates which the granddaughter enjoyed.

We visited this cafe this morning with our 32 year old autistic son . Our son always carries an ipad with him and he was sitting quietly watching this. Twice the very rude manager asked us to turn the volume down as it was too loud. We were at the same table and I couldn't hear it. The noise if chatter from other tables overwhelmed everything. I had intended to buy chocolate and cards from their gift shop on way out but not after their attitude. Won't be back. We'll stick to Rhubarb Restaurant from now on. They couldn't have been nicer..

When staying in Crieff recently we went to the Square for our meal, based on previous reviews. Lovely, friendly restaurant, nice decor and delicious food. We opted to share some tapas. The food tasted so nice and very freshly made. Decently priced too. So would highly recommend

Lovely experience. We were visiting comrie on a family trip. We were recommended the tower and it was a lovely place. My two kids had a great time playing outside while we enjoyed our meal. The food was great. Staff were really friendly and lovely. Very dog friendly. Definitely be back on our next visit. Thank you

I bought a roll and sausage from the COMRIE shop and was in total disbelief at the cost of £4.40 for 2 small sausages that were luke warm at best an didn't even cover the whole roll. To be paying high end prices I would expect the best and certainly didn't recieve that. I will not be back.

We visited last night as a big group, 8 adults and 8 children. From when we booked the service was excellent, prompt, friendly replies and we preordered with ease. We arrived and were seated quickly and drinks orders taken. Our waiter was exceptional, nothing was a hassle and he was brilliant with the kids. The food came quickly and again I would say was fantastic. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the experience overall was excellent. I would 100% return and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
