Great food but had called in other days and told 1.5 hours wait to collect a naan bread! Tasty food (bit pricey though!) including great chicken tolka and naans BUT poppadoms never fresh. Please make your poppadoms in the evening. Undress non crunchy poppadoms for years now!

Staying at the fantastic Crieff Hydro resort and decided to venture into Crieff for a meal. Having had many fantastic Nepalese meals before we decided to try the Gurkha Crieff. Disappointed does do it justice. The welcome as ice cold, with the host just pointing in the general direction of the table. The service was poor. No niceties, or welcomes. The menu indicates if you want anything specific then please ask. We asked if they had anything like a traditional Nepalese Dahl Bath, but this was met with a firm no. The poor service created an atmosphere and left my children feeling uncomfortable. The food was ok. The table was being cleared prior to my daughter finishing her food. Again, this interaction left us feeling rushed and unwelcome. Finally, two items were missing from our bill so I identified we had been under charged. Although the bill was corrected no thanks was given for identifying that we would not have paid the full amount. On reflection I thought these interactions were due to the personality of the host, however witnessing their interactions with regular customers it became clear it was not. Having travelled to Nepal, this was not indicative of the experience we have had there, with many Neplais or with other Nepalese restaurants in the UK.

Travelling to Scotland from Brighton to do the NC500. Stopped off at Crieff to overnight. Ate at this restaurant which was ludicrously overpriced and the food was dreadful. I don't understand how this establishment has been given five stars by some reviewers. The food was shockingly bad. By example I ordered a chicken Pathia which I have eaten many times. The sauce comprised pasata and Ketchup. No spices or authentic flavours whatsoever. The chicken was obviously pre-cooked and tasted stale. It was revolting. I could continue but you get the idea. Avoid at all costs and eat elsewhere.

We ordered some Pakora and Naan to take away, to have with food we had cooked ourselves. So, admittedly, not a big sample. But it was disappointing. The Garliec Naan hardly tasted of garlic, the veg Pakora was not spicy at all and the pakora sauce was too sweet but had little flavour otherwise. Indian food should be tasty and spicy.

We arrived in Crief Friday 13th March 2020 and four of us decided on a take away and this place came well recommended, we were not disappointed, they do deliver but we walked and had a Cobra whilst waiting, service was excellent and such warm people, now, I’ve had excellent Indian food before and this was a mix of Nepalese and Indian the excellence of which I have never experienced, it was out of this world. Three of us had Tandoori Chicken, one had Tandoori King Prawn, we asked for a Chana Masala and as not on menu they made it specially, best ever!!! We also shared a Lasun Aloo Piro which was a spicy potato dish with Garlic. Portions were amazing, one chicken dish was enough for two so today we having left overs. Don’t be tempted to order more than one Naan it’s enough for two or three for sure. All washed down with two more Cobras. This is the best Indian food on the planet, hopefully we will repeat the pleasure next week, then I likely got to wait until August to go again. Keep up the standards and thanks for a great meal.

Restaurant is not typical Asian decor. It’s quite a lonely and non indian/Gurkha setting!!!But!! The food is outstanding. It really is a must. I tend to stay away from your traditional Indian curry house favourites. Try the chef specials of Gurkha traditions. You will not be disappointed. I had 21 king prawns in my main course. I left totally satisfied and I visited again a few days later. Again! I wasn’t disappointed

Before I start I have to say that the heating was on as I passed a radiator and it was blasting out and they did have small other heaters but i think it’s the building that is sucking the heat out the place. I was frozen sitting waiting for my food as were all my friends. So I suggest if your going in winter wear layers as it spoiled my experience being so cold. Not sure how the business can resolve this issue. The place is small on a corner and the night we were there eat in dinners were few but take out was flying out, so you know the locals are eating here which is good.We opted for popadoms and spicy onion dips to start and they were really good, asked for more onions as we all were tucking in. We had ordered a mix of food rice and naan so we could try, share and enjoy the night. Unfortunately we had a very long wait approx 40 min from when we finished our starters to get our foodWe were also cold so we all got a bit hangry! The food arrived and it was good. Potion was ok. 2 folk could easily have 1 with a rice and naan and finished it all. If you were a person with a bigger appetite 1 might be enough. We split the rice between 2 and 1/2 a naan and that worked out the best, no waiting of the food. When each curry arrived it looked different, so often you get curry and think what is what as it’s the same red colour. These were very tasty and the meats them self had lots of flavour. The curry I chose seemed to be lacking it extras ie onions or peppers and it wasn’t as good as others I’d had elsewhere however it was still good and tasty and lots of meat in it. I tried my friends lamb dish and it was so flaky really well cooked. The price point is also really reasonable too around £15 pp ( inc rice and naan) before drinks If your in the area I’d say book a table you’ll not be disappointed. Just wrap up if your inside in the winter as it did spoil my experience

Despite booking the table we had to wait an hour for the starters and the meal took 2.5 hours in total for 2 courses. However food was superb - large portions so ask about portion size. We were staying in Crieff and having checked the reviews decided to book for dinner. First impressions were not very good, more of a cafe than a restaurant. We have eaten in many Nepalese restaurants and the menu was more Indian with very few authentic Nepalese offerings. Portions were very large with plenty of meat but the sauces were rather strange, nothing like we have tasted before, Prices seemed rather high compared to other Indian restaurants and we would certainly not return or recommend,

This was despite advertising in large letters on their front window that they were open 7 days a week up till 10.30pm, and also someone else went in whilst we were there to pick up takeaways. We had passed 15 minutes before and had seen several tables taken with people eating. Really disappointed and will not be giving them our business again. Poor poor show. Shame.

We had no problem getting an early reservation on Sunday evening for a table for four. I had been longing for a decent curry and had set some high expectations. Being in Scotland where sheep are scared I thought I'd try a lamb curry, which I enjoyed a lot. The saag paneer lacked a bit of flavor, and the chicken korma was a little bit to heavy on the coconut. All in all it was a good meal, but not excellent.

As we didn’t know the area took pot luck as to where to pick (must confess to a quick glance at Trip Advisor before going in!) and we were extremely pleased with our choice. For me this is the place I compare curries to whenever I have them somewhere else. Their lamb bhuna is delicious. Good, delicious sauce that is not too overpowering and the perfectly soft and tender peaces of lamb. I mean just yamm. I am not a fan of the pakora choices they have. They are dry and not very tasty. The garlic naan and the pesawari naan are the perfect addition to any food. We have always gone for the take-away option and enjoyed generous portions of food that was always nice to munch on the next day. When ordering keep in mind it will take about half an hour for it to be ready. But the wait is well worth it.

As living near London I tend to see a mixture of good and bad curry houses. I wasn't expecting much to be honest with this one in Crieff as although clean it looks basic. I have to say though the food was very good taste and price wise. Really friendly staff and visited 3 nights running as I stay in Crieff each year and often feel in restaurants here that I'm not wanted as I travel on my own to do a few hills, not here though and will be back next month when I am up for a week.

Dined here a few weeks ago with friends, after reading glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. Of course made the fatal mistake of talking the place up before having tried it for myself. Maybe that's what put the kibosh on the evening. The decor was nothing to write home about, but It was clean enough. I was there for the food, though and having already looked through the very nice and rather extensive online menu, was champing at the bit. I do love curry. We ordered the customary poppadoms and pickles. The poppadoms were stale. Still, I was not about to be put off and placed my order for lamb bhoona. We also ordered naan and paratha which were fine. The others ordered various dishes including assorted ralwa (very nice), chicken korma (no complaints) and lamb bassanti. The latter was tough and the meat had the look of sliced overcooked liver. Mine was not as tough, so presumably meals are cooked separately which might be a good thing. The lamb dishes were very, very tomato-ey - enough to spoil what might have been a very pleasant sauce. Perhaps they were meant to be that way, but I doubt it.We declined sweet and called it a night.All-in-all far from the best curry I've eaten and I won't be back. My friends felt the same way. A shame, really.

Only ever had takeaway from here, BUT it's by far the best ever Indian food in perth. The quality of every dish, starter, and sides are exquisite. Great value, too. A must-have if you want Indian food

If I could give zero I would. We had a good afternoon over the road & a few beers Takeaway from chillies & it was *vile*. Pakora inedible, straight in bin. Lamb Rogan Josh, you couldn't even tell it was lamb. The sauce was hideous. Brown underneath, red on top. Bin. Naan bread very doughy. Basically avoid like the plague.

I had a short time to get food while on a bus tour. The staff here were very friendly and ensured I received my food quickly, it was piping hot and tasty
