We'd had enough of the usual fish & chips/steak pie menu so decided on a curry. A popular spot with friendly staff. We ordered starters and soon regreted this with the portions of our mains. We could have easily have shared the biriyani. Try the cauliflower bhaji.

A great place for some nice Indian cuisine! After a long day of walking, a change from Scottish cuisine was required during our holiday in Pitlochry. We were not disappointed with our visit to the “Prince of India” in Pitlochry so would highly recommend a visit. We had Chicken Tikka to start, then Chicken Korma, Honey Chicken Tikka along with Pilau Rice & Peshwari Nan. Food was brilliant, restaurant very nice and staff just great, thank you we will be back.

Food is good but portion size of starter was small which we shared as don’t have large appetites , 5 small pieces of vegetable pakora. We both had a main meal with one rice one plain Naan. One glass of wine and one soft drink. Bill came to £55.00 which is pricy compared to our local Indian restaurant's in Stirling. Service was excellent.

I had a disappointing experience at the Prince of India in Scotland. Despite arriving with my family for a group meal, we were informed that only takeaways were allowed, and the communication was delivered in a rather harsh tone, lacking the expected hospitality. They were very rude, behaving in a disrespectful manner. I do not recommend this place; they insulted people.

This was mostly a nice evening meal out. We started with popadoms and pickles - very nice. I had a lamb and spinach dish which was tasty. My wife ordered a vegetable curry which was disappointing. There was very little sign of fresh vegetable ingredients, and the very small carrots looked very like the ones you get in a packet of frozen veg. Pilau rice - fine, Peshwari Nan - tasty. The service was quick and friendly. Please try harder with the veg curry!

Whilst in Pitlochry for some sunset & sunrise photography exploration, I fancied a curry in the evening. The staff made me feel welcome, even though I was solo on a Friday evening. I opted for Chicken Tikka Chilli Garlic, with Mushroom Rice, & Garlic Naan. Also had a couple of Cobras to parch my thirst, and to wash it all down. Disgusting and so not welcoming gesture of Mr Daniel, the person inside bar counter ( if he has mentioned his correct name ) Being Indian Restaurant, I along with my family to this restaurant for tea and some snacks. The person said we don’t have Indian Tea and didn’t suggest us any option. My wife then asked do you have earl grey or English, he said yes, but you have to drink it outside restaurant. We felt so disgusted the way that person was talking to us and then we moved further ahead and found Taste of India Restaurant whose staff was warm and welcoming and served us tea and snacks. If any responsible person from Prince of India is managing client concern, kindly look into this. Forgot to mention the other person who’s sitting outside bar counter was nice though, as we were moving out, he asked us why are we going and asked to come back in.

When I entered the restaurant and asked for the restroom the employer gave me a weird look and said "you need to buy something to use it". Did they seriously expect me to sit down, eat and after that use the restroom? I mean, how can they control my bladder? What a bad way to treat a pregnant woman. I drove especially from Edinburgh to this restaurant, and after getting the treatment i just stepped out and chose somewhere else to eat. This restaurant don't know how to treat other humans. I would never advise anyone this place, no matter how great the food would be. If you don't know how to treat someone with kindness and respect, then you shouldn't be working in a restaurant.

Ate here on a very wet night in Pitlochry. Initially, the restaurant seemed clean and well presented. The food arrived promptly and was OK. However, the Gents toilet facilities were filthy and situated in the bowels of the premises. Persevering with the meal,an almighty row developed in back of house between the staff and continued into the foyer of the main restaurant! Very disconcerting to say the least as most diners stopped eating to see what was going to develope.....Not a good image to portray to visitors to the area.

The food was fine and good sized portions, albeit quite expensive for what it was. The service was mixed depending who served. The guy who met us at the door was extremely dour and we felt almost like we shouldn't be there! Others were much better thankfully. Main issue with our meal was the bill. It seemed much more than it should have been but the writing was indecipherable and the itemisation unclear. With some friends I had spent the day at the Blair Horse Trials and were looking for somewhere to eat outside the hotel. the Prince of India answered their telephone promptly and although they were busy they told us to come down and they would fit the four of us in. After arriving we had to wait maybe 5 minutes for a table and had a very pleasant waiter who quickly took orders for drinks and gave us menus. The food was very good, having been to India several times I would classify it as Indian adjusted slightly for British taste, which is normal in the UK. My friends were from the US and two had never had Indian food before and really enjoyed it. So this was a good experience and I would definitely eat here again if I was in Pitlochry.

Under his emperorship, the Mughals reached the peak of their architectural achievements and cultural glory. Shah Jahan erected many splendid monuments, the most famous of which is the Taj Mahal at Agra . The Pearl Mosque at Agra, the palace and great mosque at Delhi. Average Indian food. Large/diverse menu including Indian, Italian, and Mediterranean dishes. This isn't necessarily a good thing because if you don't do 1 style well, you tend to do many styles not as well. I think the Indian food was the best option here. Prices are up from what's shown in menu pics or online. Pizzas were greasy and I didn't like the dough. Lasagna had way too much cheese and was served with fries. Samosas were a bit over cooked. The honey chicken had good flavor and the lamb jalfrezi had good flavor and was quite spicy. Basmati rice was just ok.
