We had a family weekend in Pitlochry to see the Enchanted Forest. We fancied a takeaway, but to get 13 of us to agree on what to get, we ended up getting meals from three separate restaurants. Option one was the Prince of India. It is a nice restaurant with a good range of Asian Cuisine. Prices were not particularly cheap but big portions, and we enjoyed our meal. Our telephone order was ready at the agreed time, and the service was good.

Just a really disappointing meal…eaten here years ago and I remember it being good..easily the blandest tikka masala I’ve had in a long while.clear the chef doesn’t taste his food..and it was a red colour that doesn’t exist in nature..I’ll try one of the other places before coming back here..expensive for what I got also . Starter was ok but a lamb tikka shouldn’t be so greasy..the place will be busy just cos it’s Pitlochry ..the hunt for a decent tikka masala continues 😊

This place was recommended to us. I wished we had read the reviews before ordering. Very expensive for a takeaway meal. Dont mind paying if it is decent but this wasnt. The chasni and tikka sauces tasted the same. And the Korma sauce was the colour of chicken soup with no taste to it. Totally off putting. Chicken pakora looked and tasted like deep fried chicken balls. Never again

Used to be a fan, but takeaway £9.80 more than online price, keema naans half empty, tikka was a white sauce with ALOT of coconut? Chicken dry and hard plus no promised 10% discount, even though they said yes when queried. Horrendous and such a disappointment.

as an indian, this was not what i expected from the food at this place. it was inauthentic & the curries were sweet - not a tinge of spiciness at all, maybe this is how curries in scotland were meant to be? i have also never seen a curry that red before, definitely gave me PTSD to not eat indian food in the UK.

Hate leaving a poor review, but my husband and I really didn’t enjoy our experience. Decent service, but our food was made by people who obviously don’t care whether it tastes good or not. Our Korma was pure sugar and tasteless, contained no vegetables, and was cost us 18 pounds per person. A lot to spend for a lousy meal. Maybe a fluke, but nevertheless, we both felt a little ill afterwards. Not the best.

I visited for the £12.95 2-course lunch deal, having read the mixed reviews beforehand. The restaurant was quiet but it was a Wednesday lunchtime. The waiters were polite and service fast. The food was nice but a bit on the oily side. A large bottle of Cobra beer was £6.95 which is a bit on the steep side compared to the price of the food. A decent lunch given the price, not the best Indian meal I’ve ever had but far from terrible. I won’t rush back, there are better cafes, pubs and restaurants in Pitlochry.

We’ve eaten here many times over the past 10 years. The food remains of good quality, but the prices have risen too high now. The quantity of the food is also reduced, I had a King Prawn curry which had 5 prawns in it, not good enough for £23. £4 for a lemonade and £4 for a glass of milk is simply robbery. This establishment is in between car park and Atholl Road (Main Street) . 99% of the people visiting Pitlochry will be passing this place as first „restaurant” or even first choice. Service is absolutely awful, this is not a place where you will experience Scottish hospitality. By walking in you feel like intruder rather than a guest. Food, I’ve been in a few Indian restaurants in central belt ( Glasgow - Edinburgh) and food was much better tasting and served on the plate. I’ve made two visits in here in one go - first and last one. I’ll stay with fresh made Scottish cuisine on the Atholl Road in Pitlochry. Food wasn’t even worth to take pictures.

Clean and good table service, food however had far too much coriander and a very sweet taste (vindaloo) also the potato was not fully cooked, prawns were OK. Parathas were very thin and soggy, rice had lots of peppercorns in it, beware very hard.. Mushroom bajhi overpowered by coriander, onion bajhi OK. Please don't eat at this place. Just had the most disgusting takeaway ever. 6 pieces greasy vegetable pakora. Chicken pakora even worse. It was like chicken balls from Chinese with loads of grease. Chicken tika had the same sauce that was used as pakora dip. Watered down sauce with no taste. King prawn masala, prawns that didn't even look like prawns with a watered down sauce. A waste of £52 as thrown straight in bin. Just go to co op and buy a frozen one, cheaper and tastier.
