The best restaurants in Helensburgh Central Argyll & Bute Central Scotland

Used to be good chippy sadly not anymore,

Mandarin was closed last night so tried for first time…. Never again….

Went for lunch. Really warm welcome and just got ourselves a table as it was reasonably busy (it was a beautiful day). Great homemade soup and sandwiches and tea that wasn't wishy-washy. Smashing selection of cakes available. Have to hand it to the staff for the lovely atmosphere and to the site for the brilliant views! Will be back.

Another excellent evening of good food and service from the team at the Ruby. Also good knowledge of food intolerances, very quick to check with kitchen if not sure of something etc. The view across the Clyde is just sublime with Greenock's twinkling lights looking their best.

Excellent venue with quality service and coffee. Unfortunately the gents urinal has been broken for weeks and can make using the facilities challenging if the shop is busy. This problem is not the staff members fault and should be dealt with timeously by the area manager/company.

Really busy little place. The macaroni cheese is fabulous. Very good service.

Being going to Dino's for nearly 40 years even after moving away. It's still the only place you should go for ice cream in Helensburgh

Lovely place,drink and food is very reasonable,I recommend,can do with some music playing but apart from that lovely food

Booked for meal for Mother's Day, the place was closed, no one there, no one let us know

Disgusting customer service, lady was so rude and unpleasant whilst serving us, would advise to go elsewhere, was there with my toddler grandchild who said thank you, she just turned her back on him and walked away , no way to run a business. Definitely not value for money either. Thankfully everywhere else we went in Helensburgh was so friendly and welcoming

Worst Fish n Chips Ever! Everything was super soggy & greasy, Never again! Most went in the bin, Bring back Tony & Franco who used to know how to run a chip shop

The people behind the counter couldn't seem less interested in taking your order. I think I had to speak to 3 people, repeating my order to each, until one of them bothered to write it down They charged me full amount, but only gave me 2/3rds of the food (which I discovered when home). Charlatans

Very long wait. Not great value and not great food. Had been before for lunch a year ago and loved it. This experience was not the same.

This cafe recently changed hands however carry out rolls and soup remain very tasty and competitively priced. Bacon roll delish and very good quality bacon. Other feedback for potato scones also very positive. It’s not really a sit in cafe as only one table to use while waiting on your order being made however excellent local choice for a quick carry out breakfast or lunch. Elderly Gentleman who serves is very nice and accommodating.
