Sin duda calidad precio muy buena. Marisco de calidad cocinado al momento y a buen precio. Nosotros pedimos los mejillones al vino blanco, gambas que eran cigalas com mantequilla y vieyras con mantequilla.
First visit with many more to come - we turned up late for our booking but were made to feel more than welcome met with a friendly accommodating owner who advised he had kept the kitchen staff on a little longer 🤝.
Accessible entrance and toilets in an older building demonstrated the effort to be all exclusive - thank you guys .
Wonderful food - friendly atmosphere - lovely decor - clean and tidy - very reasonable prices - great choice - first class - great staff .
Tried to tip the kitchen staff thru card but it’s cash only which is understandable - so please bring some along as they are extremely nice and efficient - this is shared out monthly.
Can see why you are busy 👍 so book in advance possibly ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lovely wee spot with delicious food and great service ! Would recommend the chicken tikka panini, made with real chicken tikka 🥰 beautiful cakes aswell!!!
I booked with slight trepidation after reading some mixed reviews. Staying at Fionnphort or 2 nights with my wife to visit Iona & Staffa and as the trip coincided with my wife's birthday I booked the Ninth Wave as a treat.
We both eat out regularly in Scotland and abroad and have been lucky enough to visit some Michelin starred places over the years. The service at Ninth Wave was slightly quirky but very pleasant and the dining room small but very relaxed.
The quality of food served was beyond expectations and on a par with some Michelin starred establishments. The format is akin to a tasting menu with 3 or 4 smaller plates (#4 is dessert), cheese as an optional extra and coffee / petit fours included. We shared a decent bottle of white from an interesting list.
I had scallops and wood pigeon while my wife had the mackerel and crab stuffed courgette blossom. We both chose the half lobster "main" course. the Pigeon was slightly tough but otherwise the food was faultless. The lobster was exceptional and so refreshing to see it on a menu without the usual pricing supplement.
Fabulous evening - thank you Carla and John. We will visit again one day.
Visited this wonderful tea room having visited the area and read the reviews.
Had a lovely cup of tea with the most amazing home made chocolate orange cake. There was a huge choice of cake available, I’m not sure how the lady remembered them all.
We never looked at the lunch menu, but will next time we visit.
All of the staff were really friendly.
The lady did tell us that they don’t take cards but could take a bank transfer or cash. If visiting the area, a stop off is definitely recommended.
After a surprise visit from No1 son we went out for tea, service and food ticked all the boxes and would have no hesitation in recommending certainly a credit to the town.
Word of caution always safer making a reservation so you don’t miss out.
Had this place pop up on trip advisor came highly recommended, and we were not disappointed.
The food was delicious (we had toasted ciabattas and their freshly made soup of the day) Happy staff, happy atmosphere, happy customers ☺️
Booked as a special birthday meal on the basis of previous recommendations on this and other sites.
Sadly disappointed.
The chef responsible for setting the place up is now working abroad and his stand-in, while competent, doesn’t live up to the billing or the prices.
Small menu, with 4 starters and 4 mains.
Scallops (3 for £13) were excellent but lost in a small dish on a large otherwise empty plate. My crispy chicken was not noticeably different from a Chinese take away version, again served in an enamel dish for £12 - very poor value.
Salmon fillet was faultless but my lamb rump was just barely on the edible side of pink, no jus or gravy and a saucer if mint sauce was brought without comment from the owner who clearly had better things to do behind the counter than worry about customer satisfaction.
The affogato desert was one scoop of average vanilla ice cream in a large coffee cup with a shot of espresso unceremoniously tipped over it by the still unsmiling hostess.
Yes I could have sent the lamb back, but then the awkward wait and out of synch meal spoils your evening. It was edible, just. And at £33 a portion I wish I’d chosen something else.
A bottle of average Montepulciano and 2 glasses of decent Prosecco set us back £140 so when we return to Mull this definitely won’t be on our itinerary.
Less a Galleon than an overpriced CalMac ferry, I’m sorry to say.
Had a really lovely meal here last weekend! Great food and nice atmosphere. Very close little place. Nice seafood options and love the foraged mushrooms!
I discovered the wonderful Tea Garden at Comrie Croft when out for a drive. Easy parking. Very friendly staff. Beautifully presented, delicious cakes and bakes. Extremely clean and tidy. Lovely, lovely coffee. Great to be able to sit inside or out. The staff are wonderful with nice chat and local information. Will definitely return and can recommend highly to everyone.
Afraid to say I was very disappointed with food and service - no specials - no chips - just a Christmas menu on a Friday night. No diet lemonade either and we didn't find the staff friendly at all. Won't be going back.
On arriving we were surprised the fence was broken in the car park all lying on the ground? Attention to detail? At reception we could see outside terrace furniture all piled up and dead plants? Not very welcoming
We ordered and the starters tasted lovely but lacked content? A slither of avocado and a few prawns? Not quite a seafood cocktail £13?
Main course …. £35? 2 slices of beef? Sadly quite tough and lacking taste? Not special for the price?
Overall it felt a “sloppy “ experience lacking care, attention to detail and we left feeling disappointed rather than having had “great time” with fab food? Sorry won’t be back and would no longer recommend to friends
We found this place by a chance, as we were waiting for our train. But I couldn't be happier, this place was absolutely magical. We had hot chocolates and a tea as we didn't have much time, but everything was delicious. The staff was super friendly. If I haven't lived over 2000kms away from this place, I would be a regular customer for sure.
