Vin-Tealicious in Angus

We found this place by a chance, as we were waiting for our train. But I couldn't be happier, this place was absolutely magical. We had hot chocolates and a tea as we didn't have much time, but everything was delicious. The staff was super friendly. If I haven't lived over 2000kms away from this place, I would be a regular customer for sure.

Was given a voucher as a gift for afternoon tea. First visit to this eatery. Extremely friendly staff. Was given the opportunity to choose from their menu despite out voucher was for afternoon tea. We chose a home cooked Turkish meal which was absolutely delicious. Left some room for home baked carrot cake, again delicious. Would highly recommend this tea room for breakfast or lunch or just a quick coffee. Our bill was more than the voucher but as a good will gesture we didn't have to pay anything. Random walk in and we were pleasantly surprised at a very good experience. Large tea room with a very wide menu so Something for everyone. I have the soup and baked tattie with chicken tikka. The lentil soup was proper home made lentil soup. My partner had a curve ball choice ( we cannot remember the name) which was equally good. Friendly staff 2 sparkling waters and the dishes seen in the photo were £28. Worth a visit …

Walked past a few times and decided one day to check it out - I’m pleased we did…the food was absolutely faultless. The decor is nice, bright, and airy which really adds a sense of warmth to the atmosphere. It was quiet when we visited - service was quick for both food and drinks. Menu is plentiful with something for everyone. I had the American style toastie, daughter had a sandwich from the children’s menu - came with fruit and veg on the side…she loved it. Will visit again when next visiting family

Good range of items on the menu for brunch/lunch, tasty, reasonably priced. The spinach dip with secret ingredient is to die for! Hummus more-ish too. Beautifully moist lemon & poppyseed cake. Friendly ambience, children welcome, decor a delight. Can’t believe I’ve not been before, it’s so lovely. Will be back!

Consistently excellent cafe, warm, welcoming with friendly staff and delicious food. The cakes, especially the Jaffa Cake are amazing. We love coming here especially when we bring friends.

First visit for us, for a lunch. Great menu and very knowledgeable for those who prefer gluten free food. Service was pleasant, waitress was friendly, polite and courteous. Food was superb. We did not sample the cakes.

Owners are very friendly and helpful. Great food, great atmosphere. I would really recommend the cake with white chocolade and passionfruit. Worth a detour.

Stopped for late lunch. Very friendly staff. Lovely decor. Great varied menu with excellent choices for gluten free eg gf bread, gf paninis and gf pittas (plus 3 gf cakes on the day we visited) Excellent healthy main courses too and superb choices of tea (ask for the separate tea menu).

A beautiful little tea room, plenty of parking outside if driving, or a short walk from town centre or station if on foot. Owner & staff very pleasant & food amazing. Will return soon 💕

Had lunch here. We had a round of toasties, 2 soft drinks and a tea, followed by a round of cakes and tea/coffee. There were 4 of us. The cost £55. Not really worth it for a toastie and smallish piece of cake and tea. Will not be back.

Came across this cafe thanks to a recommendation of a local and it didn’t disappoint, friendly and well manner staff, the food was lovely and the atmosphere was very calm too.

Delicious! Spent ages choosing as there are so many nice and unusual choices on the menu. Our second visit in one day, breakfast and lunch! Will definitely come back and make sure we have space for the great selection of cakes.

My daughter reserved a table for the both of us today.I'm so glad she did as it's very popular and we might not have managed to sample this great experience. Hand sanitizer at the door.Staff took track and trace details the minute we sat down.Beautiful wee quaint tea room.The food was delicious and served on quirky chop boards. Excellent service, perfect food, well priced and a lovely atmosphere. Do not visit Arbroath without stopping here. The cream tea with fruit scones are particularly excellent.

Always loved this place. Quaint & delightful cafe, friendly, with wonderful staff & fabulous fresh local food. The menu is a mix of Turkish & Scottish cuisine .....think hummus meets scones.....talking of scones they are fab u lous! As are all the cakes. We had wraps with fillings which were tasty & served with salad, coleslaw & crisps. Our sponge cakes were lovely & hit the spot. The cafe was clean as was the toilet area. Our waitress was top notch , with nothing too much bother.A wee gem of a place on the Westport.

Popped in on a damp day. Very impressed by the range of food available - all clearly made on the premises with a east meditearanean 'vibe'. Really enjoyed the toasted wraps with hummus, feta, olives, sundried tomatoes. Cakes so light and tasty. Nicely served tea. Clean loos. Lovely people.

Visited with a friend who has been before. It was lovely. Really friendly staff, the girls should be very proud of themselves for the service they offer. We had two cheese and ham croissants and tea. Lovely little cafe! We popped in for tea and a scone. Service was fantastic - very friendly and helpful. Vast selection of food and tea options! We had scones - beautifully presented - only disappointing factor was the jam! Homemade or a different brand would be recommended, this one was more like jelly and not very flavoursome. Scone was delicious however - very light and served hot!Will definitely be back.

Everytime I been have had a great lunch and service with a smile. Great paninis with some great coffee and tea. Really good for kids as they are given a colour book and pencils case.

Nine table settings with the nice china cups and saucers good choice of hot and cold food also home baking yummy we had our grandson who was only 11 months old and the staff lady came with a bowl of fruit pieces all cut up for him that we had not asked for or were not charged for a really nice touch and very much appreciated by our grandson as he ate the lot

Beautifully set out with some delightful wall art. Wide, varied menu served by very pleasant, efficient staff. The food is fresh, very tasty and very well presented. Visited for lunch so had no room left to taste the delicious looking cakes and traybakes on offer - a good excuse for a return visit in the near future.

Fabulous recommendation. A group of ten of us descended and were offered a couple of tables just ten minutes later. All savouries, cakes, drinks were amazing and the team were so friendly and helpful. Turkish Delight chocolate cake was a-maz-Ing! Would definitely return and recommend.

I haven’t been here for ages, can’t think why because it’s always lovely. I had a fantastic hot smoked salmon salad with a decent sized piece of salmon. I was at another place recently and the salmon was minimal but the price was higher I think. Also good to not have the salad doused in dressing and was able to add separately. There were so many delicious looking cakes on offer too, I had a scone which was perfect. The staff are always very friendly too. Be back soon I think. The only negative was a distinct lack of parking and I had to pay,this of course isn’t the shops fault.

This is a quaint,friendly eatery. The calzone is the best thing on the menu. Staff are so nice and friendly. They can't do enough to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Had a delicious brunch with my 2 friends and our kids here. Then my son and I tucked into a slab of chocolate cake and it was so delicious. A gem of a place to have on our doorstep. Yum!

We went for lunch to this lovely fresh friendly vintage cafe . Staff very attentive and friendly and took time to speak to us and ask us if we enjoyed the food . We had delicious lentil soup with just a hint of something different which I found out was a Turkish spice . Then my husband had a hot croissant with bacon and cheese served with a very pretty salad . I had a lovely tuna and cheese brown salad with crisps and salad . All served on lovely wooden boards . We had warm fruit scones served with little individual pots of butter ,jam and cream . I can honestly say they are the best scones I have ever tasted . We will definitely be back .

Was here in May for a henny! It was very different and unique venue! An excellent range of home baking, teas and coffee!! Loved every minute! Thanks for making my friends henny special!

Had the pleasure of visiting this hidden gem in Arbroath this morning for a birthday breakfast with my wife.

My wife and I returned 6 months after our last visit only to find we should have gone back sooner. The warm welcome upon entering is reassuring plus we were remembered by the owners. The staff portray the image of having been professionally trained in hospitality and cannot be faulted and all conduct themselves discreetly and not as pushy sales personnel. On an adjacent table were four 7 year old girls with the birthday girls mother, enjoying a high tea. All superbly presented, fit for a queen. They would not have had better treatment at the Savoy on The Strand in London. Our food was delicious, we always start with the home made soup and then progress at our speed. There is never any pressure to eat up and clear the table. A most enjoyable meal in a conducive atmosphere.

We stumbled across this tearoom yesterday. What a find! If you come across it. Do not pass without going in. We had an afternoon tea and by the time we reached the cake, we were stuffed!!!!! The sandwiches were lush and don’t even mention the divine warmed freshly made scones. Yum yum. Topped off with a Victoria sponge and washed down with a delicious coffee!!! The staff are so helpful. Love love love!!!!

I visit here regularly both with my partner and with friends/family. People of all ages love it. The cafe has a lovely vintage and homely look to it and the staff couldn't be more friendly and welcoming! The food is always very tasty and very generously sized portions! They have a massive tea selection and coffees are delicious... don't forget to buy a slice of cake! They do take away cakes as well which is always handy!

I visited the cafe with my girlfriend. She had soup and I had a Gluten Free chicken mexican wrap. I had asked what gluten items there were on the menu and I couldn't believe the amount of food available plus gluten free cakes!. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. Looking forward to visiting this wee gem again!

Delicious courgette and avocado cake and a Chinese tea I had never heard of where my choice in this pretty and original tea room in Arbroath , found thanks to tripadvisor. My partner had a good, fresh scone and a plate of hoummous. A super little place. Thank you.

I joined my friends here for a Baby Shower. A lovely cafe with a great atmosphere, nicely decorated, clean with very friendly staff. A wonderful selection of all cakes, sandwiches, etc. Our children also had a great time, my oldest daughter came here the day before, she also said how her and her friends enjoyed them selves. Cant fault Vin-Tealicious, we all enjoyed our selves and have all said we would love to come back again.

A fantastic, bright, cheerful and fun establishment. For once someone who is gluten free and also vegetarian, was made to feel welcome, as soon as they walked through the door. Here there was no difficult fumbling about for special menus, or finding staff who understood food allergies The menu was astonishing and staff were knowledgeable about all the food on offer, as well as very friendly. Couldn't find fault with anything. Even the toilet was clean, spacious and well laid out! How I wish I had somewhere like this on my doorstop.

Had afternoon tea for two with a friend it was lovely. It was an ideal birthday gift we both really enjoyed our time here. The food was delicious and the service was first class.

One of the best places to eat in Arbroath. Took friend for the first time a few weeks ago and they were so impressed. Home baking to die for especially the scones. Definitely a must for locals and visitors

Having left my car with a local dealership for a quick repair, I found myself dropped at Arbroath bus station with 50 minutes wait for my connection. A short walk brought me to this, bright, and breezytea room. I was efficiently served a lovely big scone and decent coffee by a charming young man, whose demeanour matched the cheerful decor perfectly.I'll definitely call in for something more substantial the next time I find myself in town around lunchtime.

The epitome of serendipity. An absolute unbelievably good food find. The best of Turkish food served by the nicest people in a happy friendly environment. We are already planning a return trip and a birthday celebration in a few weeks. Love the welcome, the food and the atmosphere.

I had 45 minutes to wait before my train to Dundee so I crossed the road to visit this very handily located cafe. It is just 50 yards from the station. What a delightful place it is to wait for a train and enjoy a scone and cappuccino. If I had more time I may easily have been tempted by a baked tattie or something similar from the menu. All looked lovely, but my scone came with butter, jam and cream so it certainly filled a gap until later in the day.

I took my wife, our daughter plus 2 grand daughters aged 2 & 6 for a Mothers day treat. We were not disappointed. The menu is very varied to cope with taste, diet and portion size. Everything is either cooked or baked fresh on site and served in or on old tea shop crockery, even down to the juices & shakes in the old third of a pint school milk bottles. How quaint. The pomegranate dressing for the salad was so enjoyable we left with a bottle of it, paid for of course, which is apparently brought in from their local village in Turkey. There is an earlier review critising the lack of parking, not true, there is a Free Car Park less than 100 metres from the front door, at the bottom of the street.

The service was first class but the outstanding feature is the superb themed decor and the crockery that matched the theme. Unbelievably pretty milk jugs and teapots were in evidence, and the cafe was not surprisingly busy as we were there at lunchtime. The menu was quite wide ranging and the home made soup was excellent although the baked potato was fairly average. However, the cakes more than made up for it.

If you've ever been to Turkey and had Menemen for breakfast, then a visit to this cafe is just as authentic as being in Turkey. The people here are all very friendly and helpful, the coffee, cakes and scones are delicious, home made soups too. And then there's the menemen, a scrummy mix of tomatoes, eggs and peppers served with bread for dipping and a portion size that's plenty for one and good to share too. Definitely worth a visit, and only 2 minutes walk from the train station too!

Visited for granddaughter's birthday tea party. What a wonderful time the staff gave four little girls - and the adults accompanying them. Excellent service, delicious food and a wonderful experience for all.

Dropped in for lunch today, my youngest is dairy free and when I enquired about Dairy free cakes there were none. But rather than disappoint him the owner whipped up some dairy free pancakes (even offering a choice of alternative milks) which she served with fruit, jam and peanut butter. Such special service and made 3 generations of my family delighted.

Was here with a friend this afternoon and had the most delicious cake. I can't remember what it was called, but it was an incredibly light sponge topped with mini marshmallows and fudge pieces. All the cakes looked fab, but this was definitely the one for me! Lovely friendly staff, good prices and great surroundings. First time I've been, but I'll definitely be back. I might try an afternoon tea next time......

We really enjoyed our lunch at Vin-Tealicious - so much more that what we had the day before elsewhere. Mind you, you get what you pay for and we wouldn't have been able to justify spending this much on lunch every day.

Been here a couple of times - for lunch, coffee & cake and afternoon tea. Beautiful little coffee shop with excellent, friendly service. The cakes are absolutely amazing!! Lunch has also always been fabulous and very well presented. Also some quirky little items for sale.

We popped in for lunch for the first time and it was lovely. Kids menu is great and my daughter loved the Nutella sandwich! Great variety on the menu and fabulous cakes and scones. Well worth a visit. We will definitely be back!

Very close to the railway station, this inviting tea room has a wonderful selection of cakes and a warm welcome. The almond slices and coffee were delicious and the lunch menu looked appealing. Apparently it is best to book for lunch as it can get busy

We called in here after a day wandering through the Aberdeen shops. We left the railway station in Arbroath, crossed the road and called in for the nicest cup of tea and slice of cake that we've had in a while. Staff very friendly and attentive. I can't say more that try it yourself particularly when its so close to the railway station!

Before going to the coastal town of Arbroath (in Angus, Scotland), I looked online for a local place for lunch. Vin-Tealicious was wonderful. Everything was made there & was freshly baked that morning. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Beautiful surrounding and friendly helpful staff. Whole cafe atmosphere is like stepping back in time to an old fashioned tea-room. Staff are welcoming and provide excellent service. Try the afternoon tea and scones - comes with butter, jam and cream. Delicious.

What a fantastic addition this cafe is to Arbroath. Visited here today at lunchtime and glad we came early as the place really filled up by 1pm.

The decor might not be to everyone's taste but it has been done with passion and the enthusiasm and welcome from the owner was fantastic. We had the Mediterranean breakfast and the Turkish breakfast. Both were very different from what we usually have for breakfast. We thought the price might put some people off but it was very good and included coffee. We were very impressed by how every customer was greeted and treated and the owner treated the young staff member really well too. A very relaxed , delicious and enjoyable experience.

Visited here yesterday for lunch whilst in Arbroath for the day with dad, I came across this cafe on Facebook saying they catered for gluten free, vegetarian, dairy free, vegans and any other special dietary requirements so for me this was a must to visit with being dairy, egg and soya free.

We happened upon this lovely wee tea room on a day trip to Arbroath. We enjoyed the delicious soup of the day (courgette and red onion) and Mexican chicken sandwiches. The presentation was excellent and service was friendly and efficient. Tea was served in lovely china cups and the fruit scone came warm with butter, jam and cream. A lovely lunch in all.
