We visited Nick’s for Sunday lunch while staying in the area. Nick’s offers a great setting to enjoy any meal. Staff were very knowledgeable and extremely attentive. Food was fresh and cooked to order using local ingredients. Portion sizes are good and we went away very satisfied. We both would recommend.

We visited Nick's for dinner on Wednesday 26th June and had a truly excellent experience. The menu may look limited at first glance but the range of foods is actually very good and, of course, it is prepared and presented beautifully. The perfect ambience and a bottle of lovely Shiraz helped make the evening a unforgettable experience and one that ought to be repeated as soon as possible.

Visited again last Sunday 23rd June with my parents and dog. Booked an outside table under the stretch tent area, sun was shining and weather pleasant. Ordered the Bianco Focaccio to share and was delicious Next 2 Margherita pizzas, Scrabster goujons and venison ragu. All were super tasty but the ragu was in a different league, one of the most beautiful pasta dishes I have tasted. Pizza's were cooked to perfection, thin crisp base, blackened crust which I love and the best pizza outside of Italy. No complaints from my mum who had the goujons, clean plate says it all. As the sun was shining we had coffees and desserts in the garden area. Relaxing end to a fantastic meal. From start to finish, 2.5hrs with no rush to move you on. Negatives; Service appeared a bit slow from taking the orders to food on the table. There were many large tables of diners so perhaps understaffed but the young staff are so pleasant and attentive that this could be forgiven. Absolutely no hesitation recommending Nick's for the food, location, staff, relaxation and assuming the sun is shining sitting in the garden area. Wonderful day out.

Recently visited Nicks and was very impressed. Had a week in strathayre and wanted somewhere for a date night. We have dined at Michelin starred restaurants and this was not far off in terms of the food which was served in a relaxed atmosphere. All of the service staff were fantastic, particularly a chap called Daniel?. Good wine list and if I have one bit of constructive feedback it was the choice of desserts which could have been more diverse. All said and done looking forward to going again next year when back in the area.

Stayed here one night over the holidays and that was more than enough. Man at the front desk with tatoos and piercings was very rude. I could not get my thermostat to work and the room was very cold. I called down and he said he has to control it from the front desk but my room did not get warmer. I went down to get him and he was not happy to come to my room to explain to me again that he has to control the temperature from downstairs. Fine, but all I wanted was my room to be warmer which was not done, in fact it felt like the room got colder. Basic customer service at a hotel should include a pleasant temperature. Rude front desk man.
