I only completed the above boxes to get to the review section. our children gave us a voucher for Christmas. When we tried to book it was temporarily closed. we have tried calling & emailing on numerous occasions without success. Not one reply. i even sent an email to the owner via LinkedIn, again with no reply. very disappointed with the owners business ethics
Visited for lunch, food and staff were excellent but it was very disappointing to see the staff allow a couple to let their dog sit on a seat at the table with its head on the table, being fed their food and staff doing nothing about. For this reason we will not visit this place again.
If you’re in Shieldaig you must stop here, the minute you enter and feel the relaxed and friendly vibe and smell of fresh food cooking you will already know you’ve stumbled upon a gem. We had two morning rolls with black pudding and they were of supreme quality and priced fairly, the home made cakes are to die for and the coffee is great. It’s an interesting cafe too with local information and crafts to browse.

Came here for dinner recently. Macaroni was tasty, highlander burger as well was good, however the chips were a bit of a let down. Portion sizing for both meals was different, chips felt as if they were straight from a frozen packet you would buy at the shops. If not a fan of football, would not recommend going on a Saturday night and sitting in pub area if football is on. Overall was not too bad.
We've been to Mason Belles on a number of occasions, mainly for dinner, but on this occasion we opted for their afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday. We were not disappointed, the favourites that you get on the dinner menu (namely the cheesy garlic mushrooms) also make an appearance on the afternoon tea, along with home-made sausage rolls and the usual sweet treats (scones and the like). We've tried a number of different afternoon teas and this was amongst the best.
We had booked a table on Saturday evening at 7:30 pm. We were able to order our food around 8 o clock. After waiting for an hour our food arrived. All four of us enjoyed our meals but if we had wanted to eat at 9 pm we would have booked a later time. At one point a waitress asked if everything was ok. I can only assume she didn't notice we were still waiting for our food! She did apologise for the wait but things could have been put right if
Not sure if we had been offered complimentary bread/ appetiser/drinks for our inconvenience.
I believe the dining area is going to be more than doubled next week. I can only hope that more staff have been employed!
We frequently support local restaurants and I would hope that if we do visit again we will not be disappointed.

Lovely location with great views if you're lucky enough to get a window table. Service was slow despite it being quiet and the food was average. The portions were also very small. My wife had the scampi which I had a taste of, in my opinion this was frozen and not fresh.
What a quaint little stadium, and what a non-regular attraction for a Friday night on a cold January evening.
It was freezing. It was pouring The proximity to the sea did not help either. Frankly, there were almost no fans at all, so tge club did not bother to have beer kegs for the match. But... It was fun. In its own way. Bare in mind, it is walkable from city centre, but not recommended when its raining. On the way back from the match there was a free shuttle to the coach station.
Just been in for 2 breakfasts sausage is from farmfoods disgusting table spoon of beans scrambled eggs done in the microwave and black pudding is tasteless first and last time I'll be going there £14 for something I'll kot eat
Stayed in the village for a few days and this was the only option within walking distance for an evening meal, and very good it was too.
We booked for two nights, one night was quiet and another was full - and this was midweek in early March so I think that says a lot.
Excellent friendly service from coming in the door, the menu was mainly basic pub grub but there was a very good selection and it wasn't overly expensive. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it. We only decided not to have dinner on the other two nights of our stay as we were still a bit stuffed from our previous feeds!
As the only pub in the village they are certainly not resting on their laurels and when we revisit we will be making bookings again.
