It's an interesting bar design. It's more of a youthful, party-oriented destination. There are a lot of interesting cocktails, a professional bartender.

Get the anchovies as a starter! Beautiful interior, amazing menu and the flavours definitely live up to the expectations. The scallops in butter sauce with an ice cold wine were hard to beat.
We did not stay at the hotel, just stopped in for lunch. It was a wonderful lunch. They do an over 60s special on a Friday. We had a three course lunch and every course was amazing. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Good potential, unfortunately not properly managed… it’s a pity…
GOOD POINTS
Typical grey stone house, CONVENIENT FOR GLASGOW AIRPORT (15 minutes drive), although not in a really nice part of the town.
The MANAGEMENT is entrusted to a very KIND AND HELPFUL LADY, even if a bit “phantasmic”… like nobody was there…
Other good points: huge room, with (one) big and good bed, shower, bathtub (quite hard to go in, because of its height)!
MINUS POINTS
The house appears a bit let down, nearly NEGLECTED…
- SOME PARTS of it, the less visible ones, are MESSY AND UGLY
- The wall around the window along the stairs is broken, like a HALF-DOWN RENOVATION
- The window in our bathroom was very hard to close, and once done, it was impossible to reopen it
- In the bedroom, JUST ONE OF THE HEATERS WAS ON; while IN THE BATHROOM, NONE!
- One of the two beds was just a SOFA BED (despite the huge space in the room), with pretty THIN MATTRESS, and the METALLIC STRUCTURE which STICKING OUT was very uncomfortable when getting out of bed
- One the (big) SHUTTERS in our room was OUT OF THE HINGE… potentially dangerous when moving it!
There doesn’t seem to be any design leitmotiv… and the restaurant room especially, is quite too dark and with an incomprehensible mix of colours… everything but welcoming.
BREAKFAST (except for cooked food, that we didn’t taste): MINIMUM REQUIRED, and with WAITRESSES, NOT MUCH FRIENDLY AND WILLING TO HELP.
Dinner: we didn’t ate there, because the RESTAURANT CLOSED AT 8.15 PM!!!
NO AIRPORT SHUTTLE available, although indicated on the website.
Despite everything, I would have assigned 3 stars, but the unhinged window is a serious matter…!
Fantastic wine selection - check the board and you might see some unusual wines that you would never get the opportunity to try.
Well worth a visit for a few glasses of wine and some small plates to accompany.
One if the highlights? - the vinyl record player. Great to listen to a full album end to end, with an eclectic choice of albums. You are at the risk of the staff choice - but don't worry, it's good!
The food is always lovely and service good, The only real complaint I have is that there is not really a large enough menu so you you rather limited in what you get to eat. But overall a lovely place.

I think takeout is better than dining in. The last time we ate in, there was too much sugar and the quality was unstable, but their takeout is delicious.
The Staff at cool gourmet were very friendly, the menu and food were excellent , quaint little cafe in Stonehaven just off the harbour, best Cullen skink I've had in scotland will definitely visit again when I return.

Phenomenal coffee shop
Wonderful variety of already made sandwiches, freshly cooked hot food to order and a build your own sandwiche counter.
The cakes and desserts are so cute and so tasty.
The decor is so warm and cosy
The cafe has such attention to detail with the book corner and clever word play on the menu
It was lovely
There is street parking
Cake is not dog friendly
