Friendly cosy place, great that dogs are allowed in. The food was really disappointing, couldn’t even get fork through the chips, which were frozen not real Tattie chips & Mac cheese was bland & quite disgusting for the price. Left most of the plate, the bin is where it belongs 🙁

This place sucks. Don’t bother. Ridiculously expensive food for some of the worst quality I’ve had in a while. The audacity to charge such high prices for such below average food is insane. The server was nice though.

Came here on a lovely day and didn't have the best experience. I ordered a chocolate fudge milkshake which was £4 and they gave me a bottle of chocolate milk.... (not a milkshake). The pizza was OK but it was clearly a premade bought base with added toppings... for £15. I don't think the quality here justifies the money if I'm honest, but if you're happy to pay it to be in the location, then fair enough. Into the bargain I felt the server was quite rude, not just to us but to others, I think she may have even been the supervisor. I'm not sure if I'd be back so can't recommend. Lovely atmosphere on the wee deck outside though

In spite of being walk-ins on a busy Saturday night we had excellent food and really friendly service. If we lived in Dunblane, we’d come here every day.

Bright and welcoming bar and dining areas with well spaced tables. Staff were friendly and helpful, service was quick and efficient. Menu offers a good range of dishes and has gluten and dairy free options.

Best Sunday roast around. Nice to sit out by the water on a nice day. Very chill atmosphere

Lovely place to bring friends for a meal or just to have a quiet coffee. Their flexibility with menus is so welcome - a bunch of us had lunch there the other day and they were more than happy to accommodate different dietary needs. The coffee is excellent and the helpful staff are a real credit to the place.

Perfect location, cozy, fireplace in winter which adds to the already excellent armosphere. Great food AND best chai latte I've ever had!! 100% will come again

Great service, lovely set up. The gluten free menu was fab! I liked how some of the sharing plates were gluten free too. Also felt comfortable breastfeeding in the restaurant so that was an extra bonus. Would highly recommend and hope to go back one day ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I used to love this place, but it has declined recently. During a quiet visit, it took 50 minutes for my food to arrive. The portion sizes were noticeably smaller (I got a whopping 8 chips with my meal). This is surprising given that most dishes are now £3-5 more expensive than before. I understand inflation, but upping the prices and decreasing portions is a joke.

I often have the experience of sitting in the most conspicuous position, but being deliberately ignored.

Lovely place fir a spot of lunch the fish & chips was best I've had in a while big portion amazing onion rings two highly recommended. Will be back.

Food is generally pretty good here, but it’s really really expensive now. £18.50 for fish and chips is a helluva lot, even in Dunblane.

A rather unfriendly welcome from the female manager, who gave us incorrect information about the wines, and who then sat chatting with other staff members. Piped music annoyingly loud. Vegetarian menu was impressive, but fish-ish batter was undercooked. Very pricey: £60 for two mains and a bottle of wine.

Great place to have a bite to eat on a Sunny day (indoors nice as well)..Friendly staff, reasonably priced and tasty food. A couple times, we noticed orders and tables were muddled but not a real issue.

Went for lunch, we were welcomed and shown to a table. Staff brought a dish of water for my dog. Menu was very appealing. Food was good and plentiful. Staff were excellent I would go back again.

My husband and I went there for coffee and cake without a reservation. It seems like people were not pleased, I assume it gets busy, but we got a table for 1 hour. We left before that. Coffee was good, cakes were okay: good flavor, but too sweet to enjoy their flavors. They do have savory meals, but we didn’t have time for a full meal.

So visited here this week. Beautiful warm, sunny day. Sat outside on the decking, right by the river. Birds chirping. The sound of water gently flowing over pebbles. Halcyon days. Smooth cafe latte till my friend arrived - lovely - with a glass of chilled water - cucumber in it. Refreshing. Then I just fancied some chips with aioli - a large piping hot bowl of chips arrived. Crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. Too many. Enough for two I would say. Delicious. Lovely snack/food, lovely coffee, lovely service, lovely ambience, lovely location. Oh and immaculate toilets! Well worth a visit! Thank you. 👏👏👏👏👏

Super expensive. I am not sure how they can justify £12 for a ham sandwich and £8 for a creme brulee, £18 for fish and chips!! That's ridiculous. This is dunblane, not Champs Elysee in Paris

We had a lovely family brunch, booking was easy, the staff is welcoming. The portions are decent and well prepared, I would say a bit on the pricey side, but it was a lovely treat.

Waited 1 hour for food. When it came, it was cold and very little on the plate.

Apart from meal which was nice, but what spoilt it for us was a very noisy table beside us ,we could hardly hear ourselves talk which was very disappointing , wasn't only one noticing other customers were looking too especially at lunchtime when there are older people trying to enjoy there meal !!!

Came here from Edinburgh for the day - shocked at the price of the food so rather than have mains we opted for sandwiches, which were fine but far from amazing. Appreciate it's one of the only decent venues in town but geezo. Servers and folk inside were lovely so can't fault that part. You know it's pricey when folk from the capital are wincing.

Nice food, location and service.

Staff are lovely but the place lacks atmosphere and food was awful. You are pleasantly greeted at the door and sat down and served with friendly smiling staff. You sit down and the place is quite literally warm, possibly to cater to their heavy presence of elderly customers and even ignoring the chatter I couldn't hear any music if it was playing. Keep in mind I grew up on a farm where I ate and still do eat basically anything I can get. I ordered a soup of the day which was prepared scorching hot and was like eating pure liquid ginger I then ate the shrimp linguine. The sauce was presumably straight out of a can as my dry, overcooked linguine sat in a pool of oil, covered in dry, flavorless 'tomato' sauce of some sort, with scorching hot shrimp which will give you a scare if you don't look out for it. The cocktail of the month was OK just not my thing and the water came with a cucumber which again I'd rather a lemon but that's just small preference stuff. I won't be coming back but the place seems successful so I hope you enjoy your visit a lot more than I did. Thanks again for the wonderful staff being so helpful!

Came as a walk I on a busy Friday night, a table was soon found for us without fuss. Staff friendly and attentive. The food was lovely, the haggis starter was so good we had it for desert too with a shot of oban to go with it. Beautiful 😍

Cosy place with polite staff. The food itself was not bad at all, the lamb rump was delicious, well cooked and the lamb shoulder ball was unreal. The fish and chips was slightly disappointing as the batter was not as light and crispy as I prefer, however the chips were really nice.

I have been to the other two venues in this chain several times as they have a similar decor and the same menu. This was my first time here and glad to see it was more of the same, will be back very soon.

This place is fantastic. Stopped a couple of times on the way back from Glasgow to Aberdeen. Today we called in on the way down and we well fed again. The food, the atmosphere and the brilliant staff made it a detour of delight. Call in, it’s a three minute detour off your journey but so well worth it. The food is outstanding, the people super friendly and the cost is fabulous value for money. Love this place and you will too.

I'm amending this review because our lunch there today was so disappointing. 2 stars because its dog friendly, but the food has gone seriously downhill. Took my elderly mum there for lunch -hers was ruined because the 'sandwich' she ordered was a rock hard ciabatta roll. Awful, avoid the sandwiches unless you have seriously strong teeth!! Its obviously a cost saving measure-nearly £15 for a rock hard ciabatta with a meagre amount of beef bits in it plus a few chips. The coffee we ordered afterwards was bitter and tasteless. I certainly wont be recommending this place ever again. What has happened to it?

We enjoyed a Saturday night supper here. They had 2 local beers on tap. Nice food with good vegetarian options. I enjoyed the Halloumi Mediterranean Bowl.

We stumbled across this gem while looking for somewhere to eat in Dunblane. We weren't too sure but were hungry by this point so we stepped in. SO GLAD WE DID!!! The service from when you step in is fantastic. You are seen to straight away despite it being busy. Your menu is quickly given to you and your drinks are brought over nearly instantly. The selection is great, with a standard menu, a specials, a vegetarian menu and a gluten free menu. The actual food is amazing! The burger is to die for, it tastes phenomenal. I had the blue cheese steak burger and I could have eaten two. Its so tasty and moreish, thr ingredients were perfectly balanced and the burgers were fantastic with nothing wrong. I wish I could eat these everyday, I've never had a burger that tasted so good. The deserts were just as good. Creme brullie was perfect. The topping was perfect and the shortbread was a nice addition. The portion was large and really filling. If you are in Dunblane or anywhere nearby you have to try this fantastic gem or you are missing out!

Went for lunch with the Grandparents. Staff where professional and polite, the owner was lovely. Food was fantastic, little on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for! Overall a very nice place with a good atmosphere.

Not our first meal here and not our last. Great ambience for couples, groups or families and really delicious food every time. Always appreciate the friendly helpful service too and the beautiful surroundings both inside and outside 👌

One of the best restaurants we have ever been to. The venison small dish was exceptional as was the tomato soup. The Sunday roast was special as well. Exceptional service. Won't soon forget this meal. Shame we are on holiday thousands of miles away else we'd frequent the joint.

Walked in at 12pm today and asked for coffee for 2 - barked at by two staff, "we're too busy, it'll be at least 30 minutes". There were 6 empty seats and all the bar stools empty - I asked if we could sit at the bar and wait and was barked at again "I said, 30 minutes. We're completely full." They very clearly weren't happy for us to wait for even more empty tables to come available. Awfully rude for two visitors just trying to get a coffee. We had a dinner reservation for tonight at 1930, we've cancelled it, I'm not giving our hard-earned cash to a venue that can't manage basic manners.

My son took me out for my birthday lunch today, The Riverside -Pub, Kitchen, and Coffee House, in Dunblane. The best meal ever, absolutely gorgeous, the meal and staff were brilliant. We will definitely be going back there again. Best roast beef lunch and all the trimmings, followed by creme brulee, and earl gray tea with loose tea instead of a bag, very nice.

A magnificent find. We were staying at the Hilton, Dunblane and decided to explore the town itself and happened upon this fantastic Restaurant / Pub. As soon as we entered the front door we were attentively greeted and shown to a table, sat and offered water, so our expectations were high. I opted for the Beer Battered Linlithgow Haggis to start which was stunning and full of flavor and for Main course I had Pan Roasted lamb Rump, which was cooked to perfection and the vegetables could not have been crispier and hot. We opted to skip deserts and had another pint of Belhaven Best instead. I cannot recommend this place enough based on our experience as the Chef Josh is definitely talented and the team at the front of house could not have been more accommodating. Stopped here on our trip back from the Highlands to Edinburgh. Great atmosphere. Quick service. Ordered the fish and chips and enjoyed our meal.

This pub is friendly and Dog friendly. Good Real Ale on Hand Pump. It's well decorated inside and also has outdoor seating overlooking the river. Prices are on the higher side but blame the government for that one.

Lovely find, we weren't booked but we're quickly seated, delicious food, lovely setting and atmosphere, all staff very friendly and not a problem that we had our dog with us.

We had tea on a Friday 5pm. The restaurant was busy and we hadn't prebooked, but we were found a table which was booked for later on. We were given ample time for our meal and didn't feel time pressured because of this. The staff were so friendly and we were welcomed like old friends! As I was driving I couldn't partake in a cocktail, but my daughter had one which was lovely!There is an extensive menu and all reasonably priced. The food arrived quickly and was delicious and piping hot. The desserts were utterly divine! Highly recommend The Riverside, and should we be in Dunblane again, we will be back!

We stopped here for our last night in Scottland. We were tired and sad that our trip was coming to an end. We could not have found a more perfect place to end our adventure. Eccellente! Un locale incantevole con un bellissimo ambiente, un servizio ottimo di persone molto cortesi, non invadenti e pressanti, educate e molto disponibili che rendono il tempo lì molto piacevole. Cibo veramente buonissimo e birra altrettanto!!! Inoltre hanno un menu completamente veggie e le due cose che abbiamo preso erano squisite davvero! Consiglio assolutamente il fish and chips veggje perché è buonissimo. Prezzi nella media scozzese e quantità perfetta per star bene dopo un piatto unico. Veramente complimenti! Andateci se siete in zona perché ne vale la pena!
