We were really pleased to enjoy a great meal. The food was excellent Better than some of the higher end places we ate. Would very much recommend this restaurant

We stayed her 3 nights in room 5. The In. Had been refurbished recently so was modern, clean and comfortable.It was a large comfortable room with en-suite bathroom with walk in shower, bath, wash basin and toilets plus soft towels and good toiletries. The room had two comfy chairs and lots of drink making facilities plus biscuits each evening. There was traditional music on Sunday afternoons from 3 to 5pm. The food was delicious. Breakfast consisted of a selection of different cooked dishes from traditional full English , vegetarian English to various others. My partner enjoyed the scrambled egg with smoked salmon on toast while I enjoyed minus the salmon. There was ample choice for vegan and vegetarians. We dined there each evening and the starter of salmon moose on a bed a beetroot, orange and leaves was a favourite of my partner as was the fish dishes, while I enjoyed both the gnocchi and the lentil burger. The staff were excellent, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the menu, drinks and tourist ideas. Of particular note were Elizabeth and Henrietta, who made time to talk to you and ensure everything was right for you. An excellent place to stay and eat.

We came here for a Sunday Lunch…! AMAZING… it was exactly what we expected and wanted. This place is worth getting in the car and driving to. We had two dogs with us but it was not a problem. The food and presentation is to a high standard, and the staff are very attentive. We love it so much we booked to have another meal…. Which impressed us so much we booked again and returned for our final meal of our holiday!! Well done guys and keep this up!!! Before long it will be impossible to get a table😂 You must visit this place….we went to a local pub where we were staying in Stein but sacked them off to eat here…..QUALITY!!

We called in to the Inn for a casual drink late Sunday afternoon. The local musicians were in full force with wonderful music; the pub was bustling and busy with rowdy drinkers - locals and tourists. We decided to ask if we could get a table for dinner, as the menu looked good and the ambiance was conducive. The Inn obliged. The rowdy drinkers departed as we were shown to our table, which pleased us. We both ordered the Chicken dish and ere not disappointed. It was delicious and probably the best meal we had eaten on our four days on Skye. Highly recommend this Inn/pub, which also has a small number of rooms for guests to stay.

This was BY FAR the best meal we have had after almost 3 weeks in Scotland. Did mussels for starter . Super fresh and not fishy. We had the cod with cumin and coriander in a curry sauce that was fantastic. The chicken dish was also extremely good. We were lucky to get an early table at the last minute.

Couldn’t recommend more! Friendly and very efficient staff, fantastic food and amazing portions! The menu was great and really, we couldn’t have asked for more! Food arrived timely and everything was very tasty. We absolutely loved it here and the pricing is really good considering Skye can be quite pricey and a dinner here isn’t always budget friendly. I haven’t tasted food this good for some time. It was fantastic. Local produce, creative, flavourful and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Make sure you book.

Booked here for dinner on a Saturday evening at 5pm. The décor was lovely, cosy and homely feel. Some modern background music playing. Loved the local artwork displayed on the walls. It just had a lovely feel to it. The first table we were seated at was a bit cold at the window, but when asked to move into the main restaurant area, there was absolutely no problem, and the staff were happy to accommodate. The staff were really nice and when at our table I asked about options on the menu and their time didn’t feel rushed, they were happy to chat away. The service was really quick, and the food was amazing 10/10 for taste, 10/10 for presentation and 10/10 for price. This is a lovely restaurant, although I’m not sure you would realise it was there from the main road, but please get booking, you will not be disappointed. And plenty parking outside.

Great food. We had the Cullen skink, mussels and venison burger and everything was fresh and tasty. Reasonable prices. Bon rapport qualité/prix. Le Cullen skink, Les moules, et le burger de gibier étaient très bons.

We rented a house in Edinbane for a week and ate here 3 times. The atmosphere and service was fantastic. I had the Wild Skye Venison burger in a homemade bun, red onion chutney, salad and chili mayo served with chips and coleslaw twice. I also had the Cullen Skink which was delicious. Their hummus appetizer hit the spot. One night, we came early for live music which was a lot of fun.

What a fantastic meal! A lovely little Inn, just down the road from the campsite in Edinbane. We had a nice warm welcome upon arrival, and the place has very nice decor and a very comfortable setting. The Cullen Skink was very nice and the beef featherblade was perfectly cooked! Oh and The homemade shortbread with my dessert was lovely!! A special mention goes to Paul, he was extremely personable and friendly. Hopefully we will return again when we are next in the area. Highly recommended. A+++++

We booked a table in the bar which was very pleasant. The Cullen Skink was a great choice as a starter and the featherblade of beef was absolutely divine. My friends thoroughly enjoyed their pate, burger and sticky toffee pudding. This is an establishment with 6 rooms upstairs. It has a lovely feel to it. There was an international crowd reflecting the tourists in the area. The bar is dog friendly. Very enjoyable.

What a delightful restaurant within easy driving distance from Portree and away from all the hustle and bustle. The interior is homey and not fancy - perfect after a long day of hikes and crowds to relax with a nice drink and excellent food. Highly recommend making reservations, as they seem to fill up. All of our dishes were tasty, fresh and a good value.

Had dinner here on a Sunday evening. We turned up without a booking and the place was busy, but the staff kindly fitted us and our dog in, on the understanding that ‘our’ table was required for another booking at a later time. Wonderful food: we had cullen skink followed by lentil burger and cod fillet in a cumin & coconut sauce - all great, the cod dish in particular was to die for. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. We’d recommend.

Oh my word! Got to be the best meal I’ve had in ages! I had the cod with cumin and coconut. Delicious! Staff were lovely. So friendly and accommodating. We’ll definitely be back again during our stay. After that - could you deliver to Norfolk? Thanks!

We ate for two nights at this restaurant and we loved every bit of the experience. The scallops were our of this world and the fish and meat/chicken were fresh and tasty. It's a very nice place and the ladies were so kind and nice to us. Loved it!

We visited with our two dogs whilst staying at the caravan site just down the road. My husband had the blade of beef and I, the North Sea Cod. Both meals were delicious and plentiful. We followed these with apple celrumble, which my husband said "was up there with the best he had ever had". He actually makes a great crumble himself. I had the Stick Toffee pudding, which was also good. The staff were lovely as were the locals. Highly recommend if you are going near to get a table booked.

Thankfully open again for Sunday lunch (no staff last year). The high standard is maintained, as is the feather blade of beef with all the trimmings. Reasonable pricing for mains, (sweets remain high in my opinion), prompt friendly service. So good we booked again for next week.

Went on Sunday afternoon to enjoy the live music and stayed on for a meal. Great atmosphere, friendly people and a delicious meal.

Food was nice but nothing special and certainly not worth the price tag. This was our first meal out from our camping trip and we were left feeling very disappointed and out of pocket. Six of us ate, 4 adults and 2 kids, we shared starters and puddings and it still cost us over £200! Service was terrible and the atmosphere was non existent! Food portions were mediocre and certainly not worthy of the cost! Local taxi driver was great but said he hasn’t been in there in years as it’s no longer local and just aimed at the tourist market. Such a shame for the locals. If you want proper Scotland this isn’t it!

Their web site gives the impression of a fine country inn serving gourmet-quality food. It’s not quite that - geez, folks, redo your lighting! Looks like a Mom-and-Pop restaurant back home - but we had a good dinner and a nice white Rioja. The hummus appetizer was good. My wife enjoyed the haddock, said it was very fresh. My beef featherblade was also tasty. I’d never had this cut of beef before. The service was … interesting. Our server, a stout fellow, said very little and barely cracked a smile the entire meal. He talked and laughed with patrons at a nearby table. Probably regulars. Didn’t exactly feel welcomed.

Great spot a bit of a walk from our campsite 1.2miles but worth it. Very homely place with a good menu . Large portions and helpful friendly staff . The American couple from Vermont on the table next to us even gave us a lif5 back to the campsite the place had that friendly vibe good food friendly staff what more do you need.

Went to the Inn for dinner based on earlier reviews. I was rather disappointed to be honest. We were seated right by the door, which wasn't a good start, even though there was only one other couple seated when we arrived. No real ambience, no Specials and I thought the food was just good pub food rather than restaurant. Price was alright though. Have to buck the trend here and say I was underwhelmed.

Edinbane Inn is a great place to stay. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Good breakfast, good evening meal and helpful friendly staff. Great value for money 😀

Das Lokal ist eine nette Abwechslung zu dem Essen, dass man sonst so bekommt in Schottland. Die Küche ist eher gehoben und etwas teurer aber, der selbstgemachtge Hummus war sehr gut. Die Hauptspeisen waren sehr lecker, da alles sehr gut aussah und noch besser schmeckte. Die Kellner gaben Empfehlung auf Nachfrage. Die Nachspeise waren auch sehr lecker und wir sind froh dort gewesen zu sein. Man bekommt mit viel Glück einen Tisch ohne Reservierung so gegen 17:30 Uhr, aber ab 19 Uhr hat man ohne Reservierung leider kein Glück.

I had dinner at the Edinbane Inn - Hummus as Starter then Mussels (great sauce) - then I tried the special dessert: Panna Cotta with Talisker. Wow, smokey taste, that dessert blew me away. Dinner was already great but the dessert was mind blowing. If you pass by, try it!!

Ein wunderbares Inn mit großen, hellen Zimmern, einem leckeren, vielfältigen Frühstück und ganz hervorragender Abendkarte. Von außen sieht es vielleicht etwas gewöhnlich aus, aber sobald man das Inn betritt, wird man von warmherzigen, hilfsbereiten Menschen begrüßt, die ihren Job mit Wissen und Liebe machen. Sehr zu empfehlen, wir kommen gern wieder!

Great evening, waitressing attentive and friendly, food really nice especially the squid. Mum wants to go agin just so she can have that again. Also, background music not too loud, something that we really appreciate when one of the party has hearing issues. All in all a great night out. We will go again definitely.

Wonderful Inn in the village if Edinbane which was a shirt drive from our B and B in Dunvegan. The Fish and Chips was excellent and the sticky pudding was to die for. Service was superb. Would strongly recommend eating here.

Amazing food and service from Claire at both our visits to the Inn. We were staying nearby and booked our table each time. We can recommend the mussels, pulled pork pie, beef, sticky toffee pudding & crumble. Friendly, personable service from Claire every time a real example of exemplary customer service a huge asset to the Inn. Great dinner! They accommodated us earlier than our reservation time. The starters and mains were all excellent! Service was prompt and consistent. We enjoyed the hummus, fish and chips, venison burger, and shredded pork pie. Definitely one of our best meals! It was worth the drive and reserving in advance. Thank you!

We booked for a dinner at 7.00 pm. At 6pm we had a problem, we asked to change the timing of the dinner to 8.30 pm and they satisfied out request. Unfortunatly we had another problem with the car and we couldn't go to the restaurant...Just to say that they were very kind and gave us prompt reply to our requests...thanks a lot again: next time we'll come ti Skye Isle, we Will surely come to eat in your restaurant!!! Superb evening at the Edinbane Inn, there were lots of tempting things on the menu but we had to choose the mussels (to share) to start and the pork belly pie with cheese sauce (both of us) for mains and we were not disappointed! We ate here on 9th Sept followimg a recommendation from our holiday cottage. Friendly welcoming staff & the restaurant area is lovely.We thoroughly enjoyed our food - my Hake was delicious and my husband said the Venison burger was the nicest burger he has ever eaten.All in all a very enjoyable evening.

We visited for their Sunday roast lunch, and all 4 adults in the group went for the roast beef which came with the usual trimmings. We also had some mussels to start and tried out a few of their desserts afterwards. The food was excellent. Everything was enjoyable, but the roast beef itself was the highlight - as it should be! They did have a kids menu as well, for our little ones.For our group of 4 adults and 4 young kids, our bill came to £170 including tip, of which £20 was spent on drinks. A very indulgent, enjoyable meal, and one of the favourites from our trip.

Our second meal on Skye and Edinbane Inn failed to disappoint! We ordered the black pudding to start which was delicious. I had the hake which was cooked to perfection and my husband thoroughly enjoined the venison burger. To finish we shared a sticky toffee putting which was huge! We will most certainly be back!

I had steak which was cooked to my perfection. Couldn't fault the service and Covid restrictions were well in place. The menu was varied, catering for most tastes. The apple crumble delicious & sticky toffee pud. The first visit we booked as we had been on the boat trip to St. Kilda but the 2nd visit return we were able to book at short notice that day but early (5pm). Booking is recommended.

Small, 5-bedroomed inn in the village of Edinbane. Excellent menu. The chef really trying out his/her skills. Great Skye black pudding and fresh scallops. Marvellous invention of a hand raised pork belly pie….a real winner. Wine etc at very reasonable prices. Comfy rooms and very clean. Beware of the midges!

Booked Edinbane Inn for Sunday lunch well in advance of our visit to Skye. The restaurant is popular and so advance booking recommended especially in the summer!Booking process was very easy, online with a reminder issued by email a few days before.On arrival, felt very safe (Covid). Tables well spaced out. Track and trace, masks and social distancing respected. Sunday lunch was delicious. The roast beef was lovely and just melted in your mouth! Desserts were delicious too with very generous portions! Good selection of local craft ales.

Had dinner here recently and its as good as others say it is. Had the mussels starter followed by Hake....excellent food, well prepared, tasty and served by the staff well. For two with beers it came to 70 GBP so value for money.

We visited during COVID restrictions when tables were still very spaced out, and on a Monday night. It was fully booked but I think the atmosphere suffered slightly.The food was delicious showing off the best of Scotland's resources. There was a good choice and we were all very happy with our choices.It's dog-friendly too.
