We stopped in after a lovely tour up the street at Tullibardine Distillery. It was a Sunday, and we were trying to navigate our way back into Glasgow and stumbled across this pub so we could sit down with a pint (or two) and do our research.
This place is a lovely, cozy little gem. The woman behind the bar was incredibly friendly and could pour a fantastic pint. She and the locals overheard our dilemma and helped us lock down a route for the bus/train out to Glasgow. However, not knowing if we would see service due to shotty Sunday service, we quickly exited out the back (where they have a lovely sitting area/patio) and went on our way. Made the bus within seconds!
This is a pub that has the "home" feeling. Great place, wish we could have spent more time there.
Had a table booked for lunch to meet up with family whilst staying nearby. Felt like we were being rushed for our orders even though there was hardly anybody in. When we ordered, it didn't take long before there was a smokey atmosphere coming from the kitchen which started to irritate everybodys eyes. Food was nothing spectacular. Asked for soup and sandwich but got soup and toastie. Strange decor, almost childlike African theme? We all came out smelling of fried food. Not good.

Stopped in for a much needed bacon roll whilst out a cycle. Staff were great chat and a good laugh, all the locals in there were friendly and the roll & coffee we had was 10/10. Will be back!
Cheers from the lads in Lycra!
Lovely little cafe in Nairn that we stopped past in the last few weeks for lunch. The cakes are in a class of their own and worth a diversion via Nairn if you're in the vicinity.
Called in for lunch whilst visiting Peebles. Lovely cafe where we had a delicious homemade soup and sandwich.
Our little Poodle was made welcome too.
Thank you.
We had the full breakfast complete with tea and toast. It is not for the slightly peckish. It was lovely and the sausages some of the best we've tasted. It was all well cooked and very well presented. The cafe and garden centre have lovely views and plenty of parking. We especially loved the black pudding which we assume was from Stornoway as it is so distinctive in flavour. Well priced too, you get what you pay for.
Myself and my husband had lunch today. It was fantastic! The cafe is lovely Maltese themed and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. We both had a Maltese ciabatta followed by a Maltese almond cake and was just superb!its not just Maltese food there is a good selection of menu and breakfasts. Will definitely recommend and will revisit soon x
