We stopped in after a lovely tour up the street at Tullibardine Distillery. It was a Sunday, and we were trying to navigate our way back into Glasgow and stumbled across this pub so we could sit down with a pint (or two) and do our research. This place is a lovely, cozy little gem. The woman behind the bar was incredibly friendly and could pour a fantastic pint. She and the locals overheard our dilemma and helped us lock down a route for the bus/train out to Glasgow. However, not knowing if we would see service due to shotty Sunday service, we quickly exited out the back (where they have a lovely sitting area/patio) and went on our way. Made the bus within seconds! This is a pub that has the "home" feeling. Great place, wish we could have spent more time there.

We have eaten several meals cooked by John Allan post lockdown and restrictions at Blackford Inn as they come and go due to Covid-19. The food is good and hearty, no-one will go home hungry! The the service is friendly and professional. Proper good pub grub prepared by an excellent chef.

Last night we visited the Blackford Inn for their Curry night. It was great value and very tasty. The veggie pakora was delicious with just the right amount of spice. The curry (balti) was mouthwatering and all the side dishes were perfect. The mango cheesecake was light and fruity, the perfect end to our meal. Highly recommend this wee place

We went ‘out out’ for the first time since lockdown 2020. Not going to lie I did feel a bit anxious but I shouldn’t have worried. The team at the Blackford Inn are doing everything to keep their customers safe. Sanitising stations, one way system and social distancing in place. Now on to the meal, what a delicious Sunday dinner. The mushrooms were a delight, the sauce was so tasty.... I wanted to lick the plate. The main event was just as tasty. The beef was tender and cooked perfectly. The veggies were cooked to my liking and the Yorkshire puddings were crispy. Absolutely perfect roast dinner. We couldn’t manage a desserts each so decide to share a Blackford Mess. The perfect balance of sweet and sharp. The whole meal was fantastic and we will be back. Feeling very lucky to have a Covid Safe Inn on our doorstep that serves such delicious food.

We were passing through on our way further north and stumbled in for lunch. It’s dog friendly and the staff welcome everyone in. There’s a great menu and drink selection, and a settling ambiance, lovely to visit if you’re new to the area like we were! Highly recommend stopping by for a bite to eat and drink

We have just left the best find for quality food ambience and super friendly owners. The place is dog friendly the food was of the best quality and high quantity. We would recommend the home made soup the home made shepherds pie and the chicken dippers and scampi were great to. On a nice day step out to the back decking area to enjoy the views and the sunshine. Ours was a late lunch and everyone of us would go back next time we are in the area. I must mention the salad too. I it was presented beautifully and tasted great with the home made coleslaw. I had a side order of chips with the salad and only took a few chips as the salad was so plentiful

We had never been here before despite being regular visitors to Blackford, as it's rather tucked away down a side street. However we were delighted to find an old, slightly quirky, but nevertheless excellent pub. The landlord Peter was more than welcoming and tremendous company for the couple of hours we spent there. I've rarely enjoyed a visit to a pub more than this. It's well worth going out of your way to visit and we will be going again.

Never let first appearances put you off, this unassuming little building in an ordinary Scottish village street is a little gem. Food is of the best pub quality, wholesome , filling and so good and tasty. Great choice of beers and always a local banter going on at the bar to cheer you up. Great place and well worth the minute it takes to turn of the A9 into the village and enjoy an hour or 2 here.

Pulled in off the main road, feeling hungry & found this unassuming pub, inside we were met with & little old world charm, both in architecture & hospitality, we both ordered the fish & chips after being told it was fresh in, excellent decision the fish a large portion & accompanying chips thick steak cut, with mushy peas& salad was awesome, really nice people and great fish n chips, seriously I've been in the country 6 weeks & had the fish and chips at least 6 times & this place wins hands down.

Lovely location, good service and great food. We had bacon rolls, an egg roll, followed by scones & cakes, all were excellent. Will definitely be back on our next visit to the area.
