Highly recommend! We had a lovely stay here. The room was excellent, the restaurant was wonderful, and the staff was truly outstanding. Very much enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. Looking forward to the next time! Thanks for a wonderful stay.
We booked a dinner at Andrew Fairley, whilst staying in Gleneagles for the weekend. The food was impeccable, the wine was incredible and the overall experience, fantastic! All the staff were great, especially our sommelier Ollie who gave us great insightful Information on all the wine pairings. The only thing I would say is that the atmosphere does not live up to other restaurants in the hotel. The decor does not match the food and quality of the experience.
Incredible experience and would like to return one day
The roles were very delicious, we ate one with black pudding and the other with bacon, all good. The attention of the staff is also very cordial. Question of prices, reasonable. Approximately 5 euros per role.
6-7, City Square, Dundee DD1 3BA, United Kingdom, Scotland
One of the best little corners of Dundee! We got a table after 6 on a Friday night so this is definitely a good spot to go even on a busy night out. Right in the city centre, easy to find and great selection of choices.
The hotdogs, pasta, grill and burgers? If you need protein this is a top notch spot to go. I had the chicken burger and my father had the Angus beef burger.
They are also super accommodating! The owner/manager is so lovely and assisted us in allergies and intolérances every step of the way.
They have gluten free buns, vegan ice-cream (be vary if you have a soy allergy though! As it is soy based).
We got all the sauces I want. Quick service, and great atmosphere. Also great for spicy and non spice lovers as the sauces can be customised and chosen so your non-spicy tolerant doesn't qeep over dinner ! ❤️🌶️
10/10 will visit again!?
Had a lovely meal once again at one of our favourite restaurants Riva! The staff are lovely & friendly as always, food is Amazing ! We love it there can’t wait to go back hope it’s soon. :)
The food was delicious and portions were large and affordable. The café is a lovely modern building and beautifully located overlooking the Cromarty Firth. The café is dog friendly although you have to sit in a neuk off to the side of the main cafe, which was fine, however if there were two or three dogs in there it could be chaos.
Organised Christmas party of 30 people filled the place but the welcome was warm and everyone enjoyed their meal. We had the Christmas tradition meal lovely turkey with all the trimmings and Christmas pudding which was homemade with nice custard. Other options were included and everyone enjoyed the food.
I'm not giving it 0 stars because I can't. We went because of the place's good rating, but they literally kicked us out for bringing a baby.
They told us there was a table, but the stroller wouldn't fit. I told them it was no problem, that we could fold the stroller and sit the child in a highchair, it plenty fitted. It wouldn't bother the people around us or the waiters, but they didn't care.
They responded in a very rude manner, with an unfriendly expression, as if they had no interest in having children in their restaurant. They didn't look for any alternative or solution, just wanted us to get out of their sight as soon as possible. I can't rate the food, but I can rate the service, which was terrible.
I advise you not to go if you have children.
