The American Bar is a beautiful example of what a cocktail bar should be. Dark but not depressing, attentive yet not in your face staff, great snacks. Went as a family, everyone had cocktails but I wanted to go for some whisky. Unfortunately the two bottles I asked for were finished and the gentleman who helped us brought 3 different bottles for me to try from to maybe pick one. High level of service in a beautiful setting. Thank you!

My wife and I enjoyed a one night stay at the hotel in November. We've been to the hotel a few times before for afternoon tea mainly and this was our first overnight stay. We had dinner at Andrew Fairlie's but came here for pre dinner drinks as recommended by the reception staff when we checked in. On entering the bar there was a 1920s vibe which we loved. The soft furnishings and decor was exquisite. I felt like we on the set of Bugsy Malone! The staff were present but discreet which we loved. Gave us privacy to enjoy our drink and add to the intimate and exclusive feel to the bar. As we were about to embark on a 7 course tasting menu with paired wines, we spared our livers and went for mocktails. They have a great drinks menu that includes non alcoholic options which is becoming the norm. Overall we enjoyed our drinks here and it added to the extra special stay at the hotel.

A year in the waiting we finally got seated and perused the cocktail menu before choosing gin related cocktails. Nice and relaxed atmosphere.

Entering this beautiful bar is like going back in time or being part of a film. Back the jazzing 20s where gangsters and lovely ladies would fit in here very well. This is the image I get when to walked into to this lovely and very cosy bar. It is devided into three different rooms, all of them ver nice, but as it was not so busy this Wednesday evening we were seated in the room where the Bar is. There is a very nice menu with cocktails and whisky or champagne but we decided on an ordinay Gin and Tonic served with nice snacks. We sat in a nice corner woth a sofa, some customers sat by the Bar. We really enjoyed our short visit.
