Enjoyed a lovely Afternoon Tea, beautiful sandwiches, scones and delicious selection of cakes. Thank you to the chef and to the restaurant staff who were very helpful and attentive, especially Joanna who looked after us so well.

I managed to book the wrong date for an afternoon tea for two (remember to check your typing in the email!!!!) but rather than turn us away, they managed to fit us in. Staff were very helpful, polite & the service was excellent. A good choice of sandwiches, scones and little pastries too - more than we could eat. There was a selection of teas and an extra surprise when the lattes we ordered later on came as part of the deal. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from Glasgow Central Station and it is lovely inside, very comfortable. I would definitely recommend the afternoon tea - you'll be well taken care of.

We didn't realize how hard it would be to find a nice restaurant for dinner in Glasgow on a Saturday night. Apparently, a reservation is needed just about everywhere. This restaurant was near the one we were staying at & they too asked if we had a reservation. After a little pleading, they agreed to seat us. It was a pleasant surprise. Food was good, fairly reasonable, pleasant decor & decent service.

Since this place opened up on Waterloo St I have been a regular. The service is spot on, the pastries are some of the best I’ve had. Particularly the pain au chocolat and croissant. The staff are lovely people. It’s one of the few coffee shops in town where you can choose your roast (dark etc). The coffee tastes great every single time. My only complaint is that I have never seen the Italian hangover cake ever again (pls bring this back).
