Redmond's of Dennistoun in Glasgow City

Good food in a popular bar in Dennistoun. We booked a table because it can get busy on a Friday night. We got take service all night which was pretty decent and meant no waiting at the bar. Would recommend the bao buns and ginger fries!

Came for dinner and some drinks. Got the bao bun and fried deal for £17, food was great and so were the cocktails. Staff super friendly and nice, will definitely be back!

Visited for food, drink & the quiz, the food was Japanese/oriental and not to my taste, although what I had was nice enough if a bit expensive, having said that we thoroughly enjoyed our night, the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful, there was a good range of drinks on offer and the quiz & quizmaster were excellent (unlike our performance), the place was heaving so you really need to book a table in advance.

The vibes here are great and the staff are so so nice - always a highlight of a visit to Redmonds. Loads of exciting bottles, cans and draft beers on offer. An exciting food menu too (with good veggie options). There’s always something going on here - from DJs to quizzes. One of my favourite bars in Glasgow and probably my favourite in Dennistoun!

This is the best pub in Glasgow! The staff are amazing. They make you feel very welcome and are extremely knowlegable about their food and drinks. The music performed by live bands, played DJs, and from their superb vinyl collection, brings everything together. There is something special about this pub, it has a unique vibe that makes it my favourite place to go for a drink in Glasgow, and I don't even live in Dennistoun!

Food was amazing, drinks were great, service a little slow but they were apologetic and friendly so still worth the 5 star rating.

Attended a tap takeover for an American brewery called Stone Brewing Co. The venue had lots of people who like the brewery in the bar. It felt like a party atmosphere. I enjoyed the Bao bun especially as it was a vegan one.

Dog friendly, great food and beer.

Great pub, great music and great vibes. In here fory dads 60th tonight and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. First class service and a very special thanks to Beth and Holly for the outstanding hospitality.

Great little pub with an awesome vibe. Love the vinyl menu, and a helluva beer selection! Staff was both knowledgeable and super friendly -- had a great time. Also, the sign out front buckled us; got to love a place with craic!

One of the best bars in Glasgow. Warmest welcome, best service, amazing drinks. If I have the opportunity, Redmond's is my first choice.

Very interesting menu, had the beef bao and chicken salt chips which were both enjoyable. They have a pretty solid record collection they play from.

Thought I’d pop in for a pint and a quick bite to eat on Thursday teatime. Didn’t think the frontage was too inviting, but entered regardless (never judge a book by its covers!) Well, so much for a quick meal. Ended up staying nearly 2 hours. Had a couple of great starters (pork and beef boas) and a marvellous (imho - ain’t no connoisseur) house red wine - Pegões Santo Isidro Red Península de Setúbal 2022. Great staff and a good atmosphere which made for a very good night. Thank you, Redmonds.

Great selection of craft beers with awesome and knowledgeable staff. Easily the best bar is Dennistoun.

Great little play with fantastic atmosphere. Popped in on a Sunday evening on our way home. Great welcome with great music playing! Loved it. Can't wait for next Sunday.

Great wee end to our day out with the Jack Russells! Really nice atmosphere, brilliantly accommodating of our dogs and the cocktails were second to none. We will be back!

6 adults and 3 kids attended and we were told unless all 6 adults where eating a main meal we would need to leave. Seemed a strange rule at 3pm on a weekday so unfortunately never got to try any food finished our drinks and left. More than likely won't return.

Love it here, always a safe bet for Duke st. Loads of new drinks to try every time I go which is my favourite part.

Although I didn't partake of their dishes, I did see them being prepared and sent to what appeared to be very happy customers. The drinks were as well prepared as the food and the bar staff were friendly and made you feel very welcome. The atmosphere here was relaxed and charming. Dogs were welcomed with open paws and the folk frequenting the bar were also welcoming. Highly recommended.

I never had food this time, but I've got to say the service is always on point. It's not the cheapest pint on Duke St, but that's not the draw of this place. They've really made a local with the staff being the superstars. If you are on Duke St one afternoon or evening, pop along and you'll see what I mean

The staff were super friendly and nice. The atmosphere was amazing and it didn't feel like an ordinary pub, it was a really nice environment and I felt very welcomed.

Love this pub. Always greeted with a smile and they serve a great range of drinks - ever changing guest beers, plenty of bottles/cans of other beers. Cocktail menu and the food is always top notch.

Not had the pleasure of having food yet but definitely a place to go for some gold music, staff are amazing 👌

A local to be proud of! Very kind and accommodating staff, excellent food and drinks, dog friendly and even when it's packed you can still hear the other people at your table. I'm so pleased we have this pub in Dennistoun and wish them many years of success.

Nice wee bar. Plays vynil on a record player. Food looked good, but we only had a pint.

Great to discover the Tennents / Disaronno cocktail - a revelation! Didnt eat there as we'd had our tea but great vibe. Bit pricey where isnt these days? Need a 2 for £X cocktails offer on!

Lovely food. I really enjoyed my Korean Nachos and non-alcoholic weissbier (I was driving). Service was friendly and efficient. Looking forward to going back when not driving to sample their range of craft beers.

Great little pub on Duke Street. Asian fusion food menu serves up some of the best in Glasgow. Corn ribs are a must try.

Without doubt my favorite pub on Duke st, great selection of beers, the food never disappoints and more importantly, the bar staff are excellent.

Really great pub. The atmosphere is amazing, always busy when I go in but the servers are so on it. Dog friendly. Food was amazing as well. Asian food like banh mi and bao buns. Vegan options are great.

Crikey this venue has gotten popular. On a Thursday evening it was absolutely packed. Couple of fridges for craft beer at the door. Eclectic music being played from vinyl in true hipster fashion. Staff on their A game and decor is warm and funky. Really good energy and a young crowd. Food looked good so I’ll be back for a second visit to try. Happy days

I have my weekly lodging in the East End. And Redmond's is my go to pub. Good craic and excellent beers, both draft and bottled. The foods pretty damn good too.

One of my favourite bars in Glasgow! They've always a good choice of rotating taps for craft beer and fridges stocked up with some of the UK's best breweries. They also make a mean cocktail as well and serve tremendous food!

Wonderfully eclectic pub in North East of City. Plays vinyl tunes from a lp collection at side of bar. Great craft taps and a decent bottle fridge. Food is great, Asian in origin and cooked to order behind bar. My suggestion is to sit at that bar. You end up chatting to barstaff and punters , while drinking the afternoon away with classic tunes. P.s. sister pub in Shawlands is Phillies is also very good but for me Redmonds edges it.

Great bar, excellent food. Get the chips you won't regret it. Really fun pub quiz on the wednesdays and always a nice atmosphere. Dog friendly as well.

Fantastic bar, great range of beers from around the world which you can grab yourself from the fridge if needs be. German ones are excellent, still working my way through the rest. Cosy environment and lively atmosphere. Best in Dennistoun!

Great selection of beers and a lovely atmosphere. Found it a little loud as it got later, as someone with mild audio sensory issues. Staff are super friendly and accommodating as much as they can.
