Pancakes are brilliant, portion sizes are great value for money, possibly verging on too big. How often do you say that these days?

Nice enough little place. Popped in for a take away soup and had to wait ages. Put me off but the soup was nice to be fair.

Old Fruit Shop has been a much-loved brunch spot for us for a while now - a beautiful cafe with delicious food - and we also recently hired the space for a family event and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The staff really went the extra mile to accommodate us and make our day so special - highly recommend.

Nice brunch. Didn’t love the waffles but I think I just don’t love waffles, I’ll not make them down for that. The Scots Benedict (I think it was called, something similar) was lovely

Unusual cafe/restaurant. On Thursdays there is live music. There are 2 sittings between 5 and 7. Food delicious.

Lovely place. Very busy as it was Father's Day. Food freshly made and did not have to wait too long.

Had brunch on Saturday with two teenagers and Nala the dog, all three were very well behaved😁. We had two Scotsman and the pancakes and they were great, cooked just perfectly. Thanks to all the team at The Old Fruit Shop.

I went here recently and was severely dissatisfied. For naming a cafe “ old fruit shop” they gave my family practically 2 blueberries each! It felt like a world war 2 ration. On top of this one of the staff members were very unwelcoming and had absolutely no chat, not what I want to start my morning. They false advertised pancakes, they brought us waffles. Am I a fool!!!! Overall the prices, menu lies and rude staff created a cafe that nobody should visit.

We had booked a table for 830pm as it was the only table available, no issue. However, when we arrived it was as if they wanted rid of us as quickly as possible. The food was lovely and we had been told if we wanted something else to just ask. 45 minutes after arriving and starting our food we had asked for some nachos, we were then told that there was no other savory food available. I feel like if you don't want to serve people that late, please don't accept a booking. I had requested a cocktail and the server didn't even ask whether my partner wanted a drink and I had to prompt the server, after ordering a dessert the plate was taken away almost before the spoon had left my partner's mouth!. Food is delicious (apart from the hard shell tacos which seemed out a box, would have preffered soft shell but that may be personal preference). So much potential but felt a bit let down.

We have tried the old fruit shop times few times now, food is nice and fresh. Friendly service. Will definitely try again in future. Also doggo friendly which is beneficial.

I took unwell with a seizure while purchasing one of the legendary cinnamon buns. The staff were fabulous, quick to action, getting me a chair, reassuring me & looking after my dog - all while still serving other customers and coordinating a taxi with my neighbour to get me, my dog and my cakes!! home safe. I am very very grateful. Thank you for your kind, calm & compassionate response.

The avo sourdough toast was very dry to my taste, not really satisfying. It needed more avocado or something to make it less dry. Atmosphere is really nice though! I'd come again for the coffee but not the food. The place does not offer enough vegetarian substitutions.

Have been in for brunch or cakes a few times and love it. Everything is delicious, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is nice and cosy. Went for an evening meal recently for their valentine's pop up and it was brilliant! The menu had sounded pretty simple and nice so wasn't expecting much more than thay, but honestly, everything was absolutely cooked to perfection and was so tasty! Couldn't fault a single thing. Even the focaccia! It was the best focaccia I've ever had, crispy top and bottom and soft, squidgy middle! Really reasonable price. I will absolutely be back to try their small plates one evening.

Lovely wee place. The staff are helpful and friendly. They charge less for mocktails which not many places seem to do. Their focaccia is heavenly. But the real star of the show was their jammy dodger blondie - it's one of the best baked treats I've ever had!

First time I've visited the Old fruit shop, lovely decor inside and the staff were super friendly. We had the Pie and Bravas, hash browns, Halloumi thingy. All were freshly made tasted great, the coffee is freshly ground and pukka 👌 will definitely try the Old fruit shop again

Delicious place to visit for brunch! Lots of options from coffees to cocktails and a really varied menu (although I keep ordering the same dish!)

On a little walk with four-legged friend and we stopped for a little bite to eat and beverage for the evenings refreshment. This is a marvelous little find, seating outdoors, lovely surroundings inside and both Rob and Robin were super hosts for the evening. Thank you and will be returning.

Outstanding. Have been for brunch and dinner and both were amazing - plenty of good vegetarian options which is always a bonus. Decor, service, and atmosphere were all spot on. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Tapas meal in the evening. Relaxed, live music, good service. Dishes really good, and not expensive - meal for four around £60 without drinks, though we were mostly vegan. It's been really nicely converted from a shop, feels stylish but relaxed. Will definitely go again !

We had a very nice experience at the shop. Truly very good service, the Croque Madam was just amazing (had prosciutto in it so it gave a special taste -make sure to tell them if you’re allergic) . Coffee was great , 100% would recommend! Very friendly staff🫶🏻

Absolutely brilliant cafe. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Sat down, ordered a drink, took 20 near 20 minutes, ordered food, waited another 20 minutes and finally had enough and asked if the food was coming, guy checked, oh sorry your waitress had to leave, she didn't put the order in, sorry about that. So 40 minutes wasted, the guy we dealt with was decent, offered us free stuff and convinced us to take a cake each, nice gesture, but still lunch ruined, have to go back to work, and strange that every other person that came in before us and after us got their food, not sure what the emergency was but could she not have passed over the order to someone, think she just didn't bother and the guy tried to cover, am not impressed at all.

Had a fantastic night !!! Food delicious.. service fab.. great atmosphere.. will definitely return! Highly recommend!

We visited earlier today. There was a small wait for a table but nothing too bad. Really friendly staff with great service. There was lots to choose from on the menu and the food itself was delicious. They also have a great selection of bakery to choose from to eat in or take away.

I first visited this stylish brunch and tapas restaurant over the Christmas holiday, and was truly impressed by the quality of the cooking and the enthusiasm of the staff. So much so that we returned there for an extended family dinner just after Easter. Let me say up front that it's a fabulous addition to the Southside. We booked out the restaurant for our get-together... it's limited to 24 or so covers but we were not crowded at all. We wanted a shared tapas meal, and the meal provided by chef/owner AJ and his team was just superb. We were in raptures over AJ's totally stunning home-made foccaccia bread for a start. But there were so many other highlights: panko cod nuggets were amazing; utterly sublime king prawns were succulent and plentiful; marinated pork tenderloin with AJ's own seasoning was delicious; garlic mushrooms in a creamy vegan sauce were a paradisal offering from a chef at the top of his game; and the cauliflower kiev bites were truly a star revelation that amazed and surprised. There was more: a yummy garlic and butter bean hummus, my own favourite padron peppers, wonderful maple roasted baby carrots...and more, a magnificent range of quite wonderful dishes. We loved it! And you'll have noted the full range of dietary preferences were easily covered. There's a small but decent wine list too, that includes a star Cava... and all very reasonably priced. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, with a quality of service to match the incredible cooking. Thanks so much to AJ and his team for a fabulous night. Can't wait to return. Highly recommended, whether for brunch or dinner.

Lunch - food was fab .really nice

Absolute gem of a place! We went for brunch here and whilst we had to wait 40 mins for a table, it was well worth it! The food is delicious with a Spanish twist on a few of the plates. It was one of the best brunch experiences I have had in Glasgow Yum! We will be back!

1st time visit pre football at Hampden. Lunch was lovely with a great team running the place, a real hidden gem 💎

Cracking little restaurant. Went there for dinner a couple of weeks ago. The menu was really interesting and varied and our group tried lots of different dishes which were all delicious, the steak especially. Service was lovely and friendly. Highly recommended

The Old Fruit Shop is one of a kind. Amazing front of house staff who always give a warm welcome and cater to every need. Kitchen staff are also very professional and courteous towards their food and customer service. Highly recommend to anyone in or around this area.

Enjoyed a nice dinner here while they had their liquor license (normally I think they are just a during the day cafe?). Very pretty little place with friendly staff and a slightly eccentric tapas menu.

Lovely addition to the area! The staff were really nice and welcoming. Service was slow but it suited us as it gave us the opportunity to chat and it didn’t feel rushed. Some great food and coffee. On the pricier end, but it was worth it.

Very enjoyable meal, unfortunately we had steak midweek so missed out on the special. I found the menus a bit different, which was nice. We had a lovely meal served in a conjusive atmosphere by lovely staff.

Brunch was seriously good & the staff could not do enough for us, bravo thanks & we will return soon.

I kind of want to keep this place a secret so that it isn't fully booked when I want to go, which is pretty much every day. Simply delicious brunch menu that I plan to work my way through. This is a great place for all meals of the day! Beautiful surroundings really makes for a lovely place to sit. The food is superb and compliments the setting so well. Highly recommend a brunch, coffee with some cakes to take away which are fresh made! This was poached eggs, black pudding, potato scone with wrapped asparagus and cake is an apple crumble pie.

Great addition to neighbourhood. Quality ingredients presented well by great staff, in impressive surroundings.

Went here with my other half for Sunday brunch, staff were so lovely and very attentive, and the coffee is so perfect it didnt even need any sugar! Food was absolutely incredible, I got a croque madame which was equal to, possible better than those I've had in France. Couldn't recommend enough as a perfect relaxed brunch spot

First time here and was blown away with everything Louise our server was fab and smiled all through our visit even though it was really busy and she never stopped. The food was amazing and so fresh and at last a decent cortado - certainly won't be our last visit cant wait to try their Friday or Saturday night food. Big shout out to everyone for a great visit
