Derby Lane in Glasgow City

They don't pay their staff and they have probably the dirtiest, most unhygienic kitchen in Glasgow. Raw meat next to sandwiches, food going out on dirty dishes, "chefs" dropping food on the floor and then sending it. Also, I've attached pictures of their fryer and oven, that should speak for itself

Lovely place to eat. Came in before going to the Ovo Hydro on 02/04/25 and were served our cheeseburgers by Ally who was very attentive and professional. Wouldn't hesitate to come back!!

We had the best Mother’s Day lunch here both back in 2023 and today. The staff here could not be friendlier and whilst not catered directly to my little one they did not fail to make her day one of the best (and therefore mine). They showered her with love, gave her special cups for her juice and did a kids portion of food for her. The ladies today treated us to the best time, the food was wonderful and the setting was just perfect. We would most definitely recommend and come back again.

I am really frustrated that you are shifting the blame onto Uber Eats and the drivers. It is completely unacceptable to point fingers at others when the issue clearly lies with your own actions. You failed to close your restaurant on the Uber Eats platform, which led to the confusion and inconvenience for everyone involved. Instead of taking responsibility for your oversight, you are unfairly criticising the drivers and the service provider. This behaviour is not only unprofessional but also disrespectful to those who are trying to do their jobs. It is crucial to acknowledge your mistakes and work towards rectifying them rather than deflecting blame onto others.

Came here with my wife and two daughters for a Mother’s Day treat, my wife has been here before. The food was fantastic, staff were so friendly and attentive, and the price was reasonable. Cannot score this place down at all.

We went to bar Brooklyn for drinks, Ally served us and he was amazing, very accommodating and super helpful with all our needs.

We went downstairs for drinks. It was around 5pm so we were the only ones in the bar area. Ally served us and was very helpful and friendly. He offered to change the TV channels for us which was appreciated. Nice drinks, we’ll maybe go again when it’s busier.

We came here expecting a speakeasy experience, but unfortunately, it felt more like a regular pub trying to wear a cocktail bar’s clothes. There were TVs playing football, food being served like it was a sports bar, and absolutely none of the ambiance or intimacy you’d expect from a true speakeasy. The cocktail list was surprisingly limited. If you’re going to brand yourself as a speakeasy, there should be some creativity and intention behind the menu and the vibe. This just felt like a regular bar with a fancy name. Disappointing.

Very pretty room with a pleasant lounge atmosphere. Great choice of cocktails, special mention for the Spicy Mango. Ally, the server took great care of me, always attentive to my needs, good advice and discussion, very nice! As for the menu, my eyes were bigger than my stomach and I couldn't finish it despite the fact that it was very good. The portions are very generous, especially when the chef decides to give me an extra portion! Delicious fish and chips though! And I had the chance to come one night for an open guitar-vocal stage, really great!

Booked for my daughter’s 16th birthday dinner here and all the staff were lovely the atmosphere was perfect for her and she really enjoyed herself. Camilla was very accommodating with my daughter and her group of friends would recommend x

Staff are incredibly helpful and pleasant. Great selection of food and drinks. I highly recommend the steak pieces with chips, the steak was cooked perfectly. We also had the toast and ice cream for dessert (which sounds odd but it was incredible).

Went for brunch during a weekday so it was pretty quiet. The interior was gorggg and the staff was lovely ☺️. We ordered the pistachio, salt n chiili, and Nutella n strawberry French toast. They were all great but pistachio was def the best out if the 3.

Think this was quite possibly the best dining experience we’ve ever had. We had our valentines meal here and the service and food was completely amazing. Erin and the rest of the team were so friendly and accommodating, could not fault a thing. The food portions were huge but tasted amazing and really affordable. Absolutely fab team, great food and all in all a fantastic night

Amazing place in Glasgow! I visited with my family while on vacations and it was one of the best restaurants we went during our travel in Scotland. We went there three times and all of them were amazing. One brunch, be dinner and one “tea time”. All of them were with great service, amazing food and the exceptional service of Jane & Aaina who helped us and helped us while there. It has an amazing vibe, great food and good prices. It is a must if you are in Glasgow!

Took the chance to try the £5 January special French Toast during a quiet solo brunch on a Monday, which was very pleasant. Impeccable service by Esmé.

Abbi and Kristian were great servers, and Jamie truly made us feel comfortable and welcomed. The only thing I would say is maybe look at the French toast egg mix being used with the pistachio toppings as it was quite savoury/salted. Thanks!

Love this place. Food is amazing, drinks are great and the staff are so lovely. The venue and the atmosphere is a vibe too! We done the £5 deal for French toast and were amazed by how big the portions were. 2nd visit in 2 weeks - love it!

Fantastic place! Went for the afternoon tea and it could not have been faulted, from the wee Granny’s tea set and food to the first service. Just on the service - give Erin a bonus! She was an absolute star!!

Braved the weather this morning for a fantastic breakfast. The Brooklyn Grilled Cheese and Breakfast Burrito were amazing as was the service from the delightful Erin. Just what you need on a rainy Monday morning.

Absolutely LOVE Derby Lane! My boyfriend and I came here on our first date and we’ve been back many times since! Erin and Abbi served us this time and they were both lovely and very helpful. We had so much food (pancakes, French toast and a breakfast burrito) and all of it was delicious. Immaculate vibes all round!

Gorgeous decor and staff very efficient. We had the cooked breakfast and the pistachio pancakes. Breakfast was great, but I found the portion size of the pancakes to be far too big, and a bit overly sweet for my liking - although the pancakes themselves were light and fluffy, and appreciated the generous amount of fresh raspberries. Would happily come again, and try something different next time.
