Just like how a fish supper should be; no nonsense. Was so good didnāt even need sauce.
Visited for dinner after hearing great things about the place and it didnāt disappoint. Super fish suppers, coleslaw, onion rings and finished off with a single nougat wafer. Our server Lyla was a delight; fully competent, smiley and polite. The place takes you back in time, even with a fryer from nineteen canteen - very special.
We will most definitely be back!
Popped in for some food whilst in the area for work - I was blown away by the quality. The best bakers I have ever been to. Almond croissant, ham salad roll and an empire biscuit- each were delicious. I only wish they opened on a Sunday so I could take some treat home !
This was a lovely cafe, serving lovely breakfast and bakes but what stood out was how lovely the staff were. They greeted each customer with equal interest and a personal touch, kind, friendly, attentive and great food on top of it!
Well, what can I say. Stayed here for two nights to attend a funeral. I knew it was going to be great when, arriving at 22 45, Kieron welcomed me and I climbed the stairs to my single roomā¦..and the floors creaked. Allways a good sign of an excellent hotel when the floors do that, never failed me. Fantastic little room, attention to detail was superb. Breakfast was out of this world, skillfully prepared and beautifully presented. I didnt need lunchā¦ā¦.. Superb āwakeā served for around 30 people , amazing soup, sandwiches, tea and coffee and chocolate pudding to die for, so light and guilt free ! Meal in the bistro for me, two cousins and my 9? year old Aunty after the wake.Ina could not have been more attentive. Enjoy this couples excellent service while you can, retirement beckons for them after 23 years !

Great wee place to pass the time. We have been here three or four times and have been lucky enough to have sunny weather each time. Consequently we have only sat outside on the south facing front to admire the view over the Holy Loch and Clyde.
Good coffee and great cakes, not your normal tired looking Victoria sponge, we both had a slice of French Apple Cake this time.
What more can you ask for? Well although we havenāt had anything more than coffee and cake you can have something more substantial if you want.
Good service and dog friendly. They will give your pooch a freshly poured bowl of water and some treats too. Very relaxing outside watching the world go by, even in March.

Had an amaaaazing burger and fries here. Had been out the night before and some good food was very much needed. We called and asked if we could collect, the food was ready in 15 minutes and the person we were served by was so sweet and lovely. The chilli cheese burger and rosemary fries were so so good!! Perfect mix of greasy, salty, cheesy but also didn't feel unhealthy. Felt like really good real food, cooked to perfection:) support this local business!!
Great wee cafe in the centre of Dumfries and my go-to place for a morning coffee. More character than all the other "chain" establishments in town put together. Table service. Dog friendly. Lovely staff. What's not to like š
This place was one of our favourite holiday āfindsā after meandering along the long, beautiful road from Glenelg, not knowing what was at the end (our favourite past time). That was 8 years ago and we discovered the best home-made salmon quiche Iāve ever tasted set in tiny area of eclectic seating with the local fauna sitting at your feet, all set with a stunning backdrop. Everything about it felt home-made in its genuine sense- like a reward for travellers rather than a cafe. We felt weād found the worldās best kept secret.. So we returned. All just as beautiful and the food just as delicious, just with a place to sit inside if the clouds let go. So glad Sheenaās is going strong.
When visiting Oban for a day out with Lochs & Glens holidays we always head to Roxys for a pot of tea & a yummy cake. We were not disappointed this time. Lovely friendly staff & excellent service. We got there early & by the time we left there was a queue forming for a table, which shows how popular it is.
We were here at the weekend. It was busy but we were served quickly and the food was fantastic, wee gift shop is lovely aswell. Forgot to pictures of the food as we tucked right in. Definitely be back.
