Windmills Cafe in North Lanarkshire

This cafe run for and by special needs young people and is a welcoming place for coffee and cake while employing those who are disadvantaged by normal employers. Very friendly atmosphere.

Visited cafe for lunch . Great place doing great things. Give them a visit for lunch. Food is delicious and staff are excellent.

My grandson and I went in on Saturday for a sandwich as McDonald's was chock a block great service food first class what a credit to the owner staff could not do enough for you

The last time I was here in September with my friend having lunch. The staff were very attentive throughout the lunch and always nearby if needed. They were willing to help in anyway required during lunch as well as making sure that everything was as requested with the lunch.

I had the omelette which was delicious and very filling. Also the side salad that came with it was amazing. The staff were super helpful and lovely. It's also really reasonably priced.

Great staff very friendly food excellent at a good price the staff can’t do enough for you I would recommend this cafe to anyone

I popped in for a sandwich but decided to eat in as the cafe has a friendly atmosphere. I had a ‘tuna crunch’ salad pot which was delicious, fresh ingredients and generous in size. Will be back when I’m next in the area.

Lovely bright cafe, with charming, and efficient, staff. Delicious food, and great coffee, at reasonable prices.

I highly recommend this cafe. If not for the food for the people who work here. I think it's fantastic that you have people working here who have learning difficultys and disabilitys. Everyone deserves a chance :D I will be back again. The only thing I will say it doesn't have a card machine so take cash with you. Xx

Been here a few times as live locally and always been nice, arrived here on Sunday the 26th August had table booked for 4pm and was all ready for out party of 6. The carvery was fantastic the meats and vegetables were plentiful and mashed potatoes were more creamy that previous visits it was a bit biz but did not take long to get served, the sweets were also delicious and sorry forgot the name of our waitress but was really proficient and made sure all was fine so thank you Toby Carvery Strathclyde park ✓

A good and wide ranging menu for all the family. Clean and efficient service. We had friends join us latest through and service and seating coped admirably.

Visit here frequently for lunch and service and food is always great. My kids especially love the lentil soup. This cafe is an important part of the community and everyone involved should be proud of it.

The staff are really friendly, attentive and warm. The food was grand, tasty and fresh. I would absolutely recommend visiting.

Visited for lunch. Food and service was excellent. Lovely selection of cakes. The young people working here have disabilities but the service they provide exceeds that in most cafes.

Fuimos en agosto. Disfruté de mi patata caliente y chocolate helado pero mi primo y amigo no disfrutar realmente de sus sándwiches. El servicio era bueno y la idea de lo que está haciendo el café es estupendo para gente joven. La comida era promedio. Posiblemente no es lo que yo había pensado que seria de comentarios. Comida básica, pero completa el menú. Vale la pena apoyar el motivo que lo dirige, pero no puedo presumir. Depende de sus expectativas, supongo.

Lo que estos chicos hacen aquí es más que un trabajo. La forma de ayudar a los jóvenes con necesidades adicionales de trabajo y llegar a encontrar una finalidad es estimulante. El menú es típico café, pero la comida es sabrosa, el café es agradable, el servicio es rápido y amable y está muy limpio. La cocina abierta es genial para las personas que necesitan que la certeza en la higiene de un lugar. Recomiendo apoyar este café en sus esfuerzos.

estado aquí un montón. El café es muy espaciosa, bien ventilada y limpísima. El personal es muy amable. El personal consisten de jóvenes con necesidades adicionales de apoyo. Son muy inclinado a tomar su pedido y son muy agradables. Me tomo mi sobrina en ella es 3 y Iove a alboroto sobre ella. La comida es una cafetería típica, pero bien presentado y abundante.

Popped in here yesterday with best friend and her 18 month old little girl in her buggy. Service was fast and extremely friendly!! We were very impressed and have arranged to go to the Windmills café again next time we are in Motherwell

The idea to help give people an experience of working in this cafe is very good, the staff seem well trained and are friendly with good food a bonus.I will return again

Been here a couple times for breakfast. Delicious and everyone friendly, but maybe a bit of music could improve the atmosphere?

This cafe helps train and give experience to Young people who have learning difficulties.The menu has everything from all day breakfasts to fish and chips and an endless list of sandwiches, Panini's, baguettes and rolls, right through to chips and curry sauce. There is definitely something for everyone on the menu.It is very reasonable and look out for the offer of a hot drink and roll for £2.40.The young workers take your order and are supervised whilst doing so. You order your food using the corresponding number on the menu. The staff always make sure everything is OK for you.The cafe is absolutely spotless and this is a project which we should be supporting. Although I don't know much about it I can imagine it gives the Young people a new lease of life and a chance that they might not have been given otherwise.

Visited here the other day for cake and hot choclate was great visit n well worth a try everything is cooked and baked onsite
