Good inexpensive food served well

Always use Agnes' Place when in Airdrie. Lovely friendly team serving delicious food

Monday 29/4/24 Went from Grangemouth to Airdrie to visit my cousin Ann & took her out for lunch. But first i looked at only the PICTURES of 3 cafés & didn't bother to read any reviews on them because, i saw very clearly that this one 'Angus Place' looked the business so to speak (well text) So in we went just after one pm & managed to get up the high step into the café & sat at the long bench seat at the back, on & beside numerous cushions. I thought i would check out the breakfast that looked so good on the picture 🖼️ reviews & it sure lived up to it. The egg🥚 wasn't over done like, all frizzled up & the tattie scone wasn't burnt on one side or all greasy that you could ring it out, as in some other cafés that i've ate in. The toast was grilled all over & not 1/2 done & the butter? was all spread evenly over it, the lorn & link sausage was all good & the bacon too so was the b.p. [black pudding] also, & the beans too & all was washed down by a lovely hot 🔥 mug of coffee ☕ all for only 8 quid 👍 So what more do you want than that❓ WELL i would have liked my food to have been served up on a hot 🔥 or at least a warmed up plate 🍽️ & to me a cold plate is a no! no! My cousin had a lovely looking good sized toasty & she said it was very good BUT i don't think the waitress asked if she wanted brown OR white bread & i will check up on that the next time i'm over, if you can have a choice. They could also ask - would you like your drinks with your meal or after your meal & it would be good if they had wee mats on the cold marble table for your T pot to sit on & save the heat from the tea pot dissipating onto the cold marble table. I couldn't find the salt 🧂 & pepper & Ann told me they were in those 2 yellow cars which i thought was to draw children to sit at that table & play with them. JUST TO LET YOU READERS ALL KNOW..,... I got a brilliant & well compiled reply back from Agnes Place in a few hrs after i put in my ~ as always TRUTHFUL review. I've never ever had anything as quick a reply as that & as I've stated - very well compiled - Very good 😊 🏆 & of course i will return in the VERY near future.

A lovely welcome as you enter,food is spot on and the service impeccable. Friendly atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble for Agnes and her staff. Definitely a wee jewel in Airdrie.

Agnes did the buffet at a communion in Airdrie Workmans 21/5/23 I was entertaining at ! Great variety hot & cold to choose from for everyone, Nothing to beat the small traditional pies from local bakers, Lovely and warm, just right for eating, Fantastic Disco’s Where memories are made.

Can't get better service than here

Foods always lovely, staff always have a smile on their face and never spent more than £20 - not through lack of trying!

Excellent breakfast. Closest place in Airdrie to a traditional cafe. Sometimes you just want basic Egg n Bacon and not a load if poncy stuff like Panninis and Bruchetta etc. Clean , quick and cheap Definitely recommend this place.

An absolutely fantastic experience from entry to exit. Such caring kind friendly and efficient staff. They even had a side door so I could enter building in my wheelchair The menu is impressive with a vast choice of food Inc meals breakfast and hot cold rolls Panini and baguette and loads of fantastic cakes and afternoon tea The service is sleep and attentive with out being too intrusive Very homey surroundings within fresh light and airy cafe Would recommend as this is the best cafe in Airdrie We will be back

Absolutely shocking panini that I bought in there shop it was only fit for one place and that was the bin

For me this is the nicest decorated cafe in the area. It's very welcoming when you blow in there on a windy day. The food has that homemade taste I'm looking for from a local cafe but I find the portions a bit small and the prices a bit high. I'd come here for coffee in nice surroundings but go elsewhere if hungry and in need of a meal

Three of us popped in for lunch on Saturday, food was spot on and staff were friendly, under £20 for three lunches and drinks, can’t beat that !

Breakfast was hot and well presented, staff are so helpful and really nice, price was very reasonable would definitely recommend Agnes's to eat

Small café with very pleasant staff. Food is excellent whether it is breakfast or lunch. Pricing is standard with some items cheaper than other local establishments. For example, a full Scottish breakfast including coffee /tea is only £5.50 which is a very good deal.

Angus place is the best cafe in airdrie with amazing surrounding amazingly friendly and helpful staff fresh food at really amazing prices. I go there almost every day. Wouldn't go anywhere else .highly recommended this lo Little gem

Great food at great prices. Wide selection of food. Staff are brilliant and really helpful and know there regulars. Support the local food bank as well. Only time I’m disappointed is when I can’t get a table cis it’s so busy. Highly recommend.

This place is becoming a local legend. Good home style food and friendly staff. Easily the best in town. Try the chicken panini and pancakes, you won't regret.

First time visiting and the cafe was really busy but service was quick. Food was nice and brought out quickly. Hope to be back again.

We popped in here for a NYE fry up in preparation for a big night and were not disappointed. £5 for a tasty plate full of bacon, eggs,beans,fried slice and sausages plus toast and a coffee - bargain! All this served by a couple of lovely ladies whom despite being kept very busy in this popular cafe had a constant smile on their face.

A four hour breakfast can't be bad. Lovely staff who kept bringing us more tea. Will return.

Friendly staff and quick and efficient service. Modern cosy surroundings and a busy wee place with what seems like a lot of regular customers. 2 sit in breakfasts for a tenner is good value. Ingredients are okay for the price you pay too. It's a shame it's not bigger as I think this place could do really well as a sit in cafe, just very few tables

When out shopping we like to meet up for coffee or something to eat at our favourite cafe.the staff are very friendly and jovial with us,The food is very tasty and there is a good menu to choose from and always nice to sit and enjoy a wee cup of tea or coffee.

I was very pleased with the quality of the breakfast and service. The price was very reasonable and we didn't have to wait long. We ordered an all day breakfast, so very good if your looking for a brunch, I would definitely come again.

Went to this lovely wee cafe today with my mum and sister. We all had steak pie and chips which was absolutely amazing! It was really reasonable too. We're already arranging when we'll go back to try their macaroni cheese.

Fillings etc are amazing for sandwiches and baguettes, pop in anytime I'm passing around lunch time - great selection of fillings, food sitting in always looks great too

We popped in for a coffee and bacon roll each - we hadn't had breakfast so were quite hungry - in the end we both chose the full breakfast which at under £5 includes a my of tea or coffee and toast or a buttered roll - we had to wait a bit but that us simply because everything is cooked freshly unlike some places that have bacon sausage sitting pre-cooked and heat them up - can't complain - everything was nice !! We saw someone had French toast and they had two huge thick slices - it looked delicious ! Defo recommend Agnes' Place

Staff are very friendly they are very good with children and nothing a bother the food is good and the place is clean

Called in by chance for a coffee and catch up with a friend. So glad we did. The cafe itself is welcoming and the staff are fab - eager to please. The coffee and scones were great and the prices were reasonable. The rest of the menu looks great if you fancied something more. Will definitely be back

Love this wee cafe, food and the service is always second to none. Nothing is ever to much hassle and you are always greeted with a smile.

Called in by chance this morning with my wife and had toasted scones and coffee which went down a treat. Very friendly attmoshphere and the staff made us feel at home, we will certainly call again in the future.

Nice wee cafe behind the main shopping area in Airdrie. Nice friendly staff, very clean and very cheap places. Only had a coffee this time round but will definitely go back for a meal.

I go here every Saturday usually for a quick bite to eat. you can get everything from a well cooked and large portion breakfast, to a fullty cooked lunch like lasagne. I usually opt for a hot roll or a soup. Never had any complaints and you always get a laugh with the people behind the counter, friendly cheery and appreciative of service. lovely place to sit in and eat breakfast.

Such big portions in this cafe food prepared fresh daily and no request is too small always busy struggle to get seating at times but worth it my personal fave is the macaroni cheese served with chips n side salad also do take aways which seem fairly popular staff are welcoming and cafe is spotless

This is one of the best cafes i have been to!! The food is fantastic and the staff are great and very cheerful! I would defo reccomend this place to anyone if you havent already tried this your missing out.

Stumbled upon this little café when passing through Airdrie, if you're in the area don't miss it. We ordered fish and chips, and I was surprised to see the waitress get dressed and leave after taking ouorders, but even more surprised when she returned some minutes later - with our very fish straight from the fish monger around the corner! No thick, fat batter but instead a crispy covering that left all the fresh flavours of the fish. They definitely take pride in serving good food although this is a small place, they are quick and have an eye for details. Will definitely return for a second when I'm back next time!
