The best restaurants in Strand Derry Western NI

THE best coffee in Derry!! I actually asked if they have the best coffee and the answer was if you don’t like it - come back and we’ll prove it!!! What a fun place!!!

We went for a weekend away to the city & were so well received by Liam, Marty & the rest of the staff of Odies. Class service, got a free taster of their own craft beer & a complimentary shot as well. Food was really good - the chef even shared a secret recipe. They were all so personal & lovely, which made us realise this is why we missed going out for a meal so much. They did everything for us to be able to get a taxi etc. Supporting small & local always pays off! Definitely worth a visit!

Punto de craqueo para el desayuno. Un ambiente acogedor, asientos cómodos y posiblemente uno de los mejores lugares de Derry para sentarse. Vine aquí para desayunar y tomar un café después del gimnasio y nada mejoró mi día. . . ¡Sigan haciendo lo que ustedes están haciendo! ! (Gachas O panqueques son mi ir también)

No much space in dine in even though they say you can sit in.

I couldn't recommend the Pod enough! I arranged a dinner for my friend's Halloween hen and Ronan couldn't have been more accommodating, we had the top floor of the bus to ourselves and the service & food was amazing. It's such a cool venue, definitely a must try!

The food was really good. Small plates were a little small for the price but the large plate was great. Service fast and attentive.

A must cant do a nite in derry without giveing it a call into.🫶

Excellent food. Some of the best Italian dishes I've ever had. Experience a little dampened however when they asked to bring us dessert menus (we said "yes"), failed to do so, and then when we had to actively call out just to get their attention and pay the bill (after a very long wait). But would go back should we be in Derry again.

This looks lovely and has a nice vibe. The food however was disappointing. The full breakfast consisted of reheated, shrivelled meat. The pancakes were dry and cold and burnt. The coffee was decent but generally we were very disappointed, waste of money I’m afraid.

First time and definitely not be my last. Perfect in every way ☺️

Group of us had dinner in Quaywest on a busy Saturday night. Got our table on time @8pm for a group of nine. Two minutes after we eere seated , server was hovering around table. Not a bad complaint necessarily,but waited nearly twenty five minutes on drinks order, had to ask several times to see where they were. Food was good . However asked for extra Marie Rose sauce when starter was sever and was given a dirty look and it never arrived.

The staff were brilliant the food was delicious and lovely friendly fibe in it

Our final evening in Derry and El Tapas Gra didn’t disappoint. A warm welcome on arrival and the rest of the evening was a truly memorable experience. Great service, great food and a great selection of wines. Definitely recommended.
