We spent the day in beautiful Derry yesterday and chose this coffee shop because of its excellent reviews. What a wonderful surprise! We received a very warm welcome from the lovely , friendly lady ( possibly owner/manager) at the til. We were spoilt for choice with the delicious cakes on display - a very welcome treat after our drive from Donegal. Savoury menu also excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful. This little Gem is a must stop for coffee and treats on a trip to Derry. It was a special trip for us five sisters. Thank you and will will see you again next year

The Coffee Tree is the best little cafe in Derry. I am fortunate to work in close proximity to it, so I am a regular customer at lunchtime. Every day there is a different homemade soup on offer. I had a salad on my last visit. The salads are very good- particularly the vegetarian one with roasted chick peas, avocado, hummus and green leaves with a wonderful balsamic dressing. This tiny cafe is very good value, the portions are generous, the homemade cakes are good and the coffee is the best in Derry.

This tiny cafe is a gem. The only criticism is the size - you are lucky if you can get a table, so try and get there early if you can. This was one of the worst restaurants i’ve tired i was so excited to try but had the worst experience when i got it. I ordered a Chicken curry baker and salt and chilli chips. I sat down to eat and the red onion smelt like dog and tasted like did as did the chicken curry which completely put me off the salt and chilli chips however the salt and chilli chips where okay but as of trying the baker it had put me off i got the kinder cheesecake and the kinder piece on told of it was stale was horrible worst experience definitely won’t be back again waste of 25 pound for something that smelt and tasted of dog

Wouldn't go back. Service was awful! Huffing and puffing every time they brought something to the table then they got my sons order wrong and lifted the plate without a word after I said sorry about that. Every member of staff we had any communication with was just plain ignorant. Maybe train your staff up with some people skills.
