I booked a table for four people for afternoon tea, as it was our friends birthday.
From the minute we arrived we were treated like royalty.
The two ladies serving us, (sorry I have forgotten their names), were so lovely and friendly.
The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We had endless pots of tea and the two ladies even sang happy birthday to our friend when they brought out a plate with slices of mouth watering victoria sponge cake.
A perfect day. I would thoroughly recommend Ballyrobin Hotel and Lodge for their afternoon tea. 5* service.
We will definitely be back again. Thank you. 😊
Very poor hotel. I don't understand why it has 4 stars. It deserves 3 at most. The room is quite spacious without air conditioning which translates into discomfort because you have to open the window to get fresh air and outside the window is the Asda distribution center. I had the displeasure of staying for 5 nights. I paid for 5 breakfasts but only used one because they are served from 7:30. The breakfast was disgusting, it has nothing to do with food. No buffet only English breakfast .... the worst thing that can be. There are no taxis and if you do find one, you only pay in cash. When checking out, no one asked how your stay was.
Attitude and professionalism of the manager was horrendous. Felt pushed aside and made to feel it was our fault that the booking was messed up. Manager was determined to find the fault on our end, barely communicating with us and ignoring anything we had to say. Moved to the mermaid and not once did he check up on us or make us feel welcomed. Considering we were a large group of 20, spending a lot of money, I expected a lot more respect. Food was also extremely below average for the price. Will not be back to these restaurants
Usually great food and service but not this time food was cold wine served in a tall spirit glass wrong order sent to our table then the bill was wrong dont think i will try it again ... regular customers review
Spending a couple of days in Portrush and had the morning to wander around before a round of golf. Stumbled upon Babushka and am so happy I decided to go in. Friendly staff, great coffee, laid back beach vibe and delicious food made for a fantastic way to start my day. I started with a slice of carrot cake, followed by their signature bacon French toast. I am fully fortified and ready for my round at Royal Portrush! 🔥⛳️🔥
Sceptical of the good reviews still can not face fish and chips after our nightmare experience, still feel sick thinking about it , don’t waste your money

Ordered 2 Cod & Chips and consumed straight away in their tented shelter next door.
Batter & chips were were soft and the batter on the fish was a bit under cooked so doughy inside.
Neither were golden, both were pasty in colour.
I'm no expert but I'd suggest turning the heat up.
