Bob & Berts Portstewart in Coleraine

Went to B & B today after reading on Internet that all dogs welcome. But when I got there dogs are only welcome if you sit outside. Come on guys, make it clear on your website. I had driven there only to find this out. Inconvenient or what !!! Somewhere else got our custom.

Ate in Bob & Bert’s Portstewart 28/10 it’s a nice spacious area. Chose a chilli chicken wrap comes with chips, went to get cutlery from self serve area it was not very clean so had to wash it before sitting down 👎 Food came quick enough but waitress didn’t use tray just plates held against her chest. Food was delicious though.

Worst avocado on toast i've ever had in my life.. I didn't know it was possible to screw up like the simplest thing you could possibly make

For £11.75 I got a plate of chips and a sad morsel of pulled pork. There should be a health warning because you could hurt your eyes looking for the pork. In fairness they gave me a refund. Never again.

Delicious food, had the chicken pesto Salad .

Food quality was ok, not special, mediocre in taste. Absolutely overpriced. Seating is quite nice with cozy armchairs. View through the window gives an okay-ish sea view at some places. Music is loud and mainstream-ish. Plenty of space.

Called it on my way through portstewart, Saturday afternoon for a wee chill and a coffee. Coffee was good and so was the peanut stack. Music playing though totally ridiculous, most of the clientele elderly and Britney spears toxic and womaniser playing, music choice could be better

Not what it used to be.......7pm on a Friday night called in for something to eat. Had to ask for table to wiped as the place was a mess. Stacks of dishes left on many tables. Others were cleaning down their own tables before sitting. Cutlery sticky. Lots of staff but none worried about the cleanliness of the place. Ordered burgers, not as we expected nor described on the menu.....tiny portions, fatty limp bacon, a square of processed cheese on top. So disappointed. Won't be back.

Delicious food, good atmosphere and good service.

Really enjoy eating at Bob and Berts. I'm gluten free and always get food to suit my needs. Also good to meet up and spend some time with friends in a very nice carefree atmosphere.

Used to go to Morellis down the street but the service and food wasn't good the last few times we went. Have tried Bob and Berts the last few times with no issue. Some good flavours of ice cream too with good coffee and pastries.

We sat outside as we had our dogs with us , no paper menus was a bit annoying as one of us had to stay outside , but that aside , the food was good , service was excellent . Thanks

Bacon burnt to a crisp as were the onion rings, totally ruined the meal which was mediocre at best. Went here last night and got bacon which was more like leather or shrapnel than bacon. Let it go, got food again tonight and it arrived stone cold. Just got our money back and will not be back. This place has really went down hill.

Loud and busy. NOT dog friendly. But we were told all cafes in Port Stewart are the same. Sucks to have a 4 legged friend and not be allowed indoors. Coffee was ok Scone also did the job.

Hi there, I was charged the £13.11 through yourselves for this order yet the restaurant themselves charged me for another 2 seperate payments? One for £1.69 and one for £3.75. And I definitely do not purchase anything else in the restaurant. Are you able to find out what this is about?

Food good toilets dirty and smelly

It's ok, staff were friendly, food was fine and they stay open serving food later than most other nearby places but there are a lot of better places that aren't part of a chain nearby that I'd try first to be honest.

Just what you would expect from Bob and Berts. The staff are very friendly and helpful. On this occasion I just got a fifteen bun with a Spiced Chai Latte, both of which I had no complaints. A nice Bob and Berts to go to however if you are already on the promenade there are a vast number of unique cafes just next door to try which I would recommend doing. But if Bob and Berts is your thing then this place is absolutely fine.

Busy day had to que which was fine, good food and range .only thing that put this mark down was the amount of time trying to get clear,clean table. However staff made up for it in excellent customer service.

Amazing food the service was okay but it was the best breakfast I ever had.i had a cream egg pancakes,AMAZING I recommend it

Very slow service and 1 rude staff member. Not very busy while we were in but the tables that people had left before we arrived still hadn't been cleared when we were leaving. Floor was dirty, didn't look like it has been swept/vacuumed recently. Food was fine, nothing special and not particularly fresh. Wouldn't recommend, won't be back.

The cabel reel tables at the window of your Portstewart store are unhygienic. The grooves of the table are filled with food, salt sugar and pieces of paper. I was only going to post about the tables but when we were served the soup I felt I had to comment on it also. It had more a consistency of liquidised baby food or a liquidised stew. Spoke with a member of staff who apologised and stated thats how the soup was served. She did offer a scone or slice of cake, but we respectively declined. Certainly was not up to the standard of Bob and Bert stores we are used to.

Loved everything about this place. Beautiful food. Great atmosphere and interior. Staff couldn't be nicer, heated cinnamon buns and beautifully brewed coffee.

We went in to have a coffee and shelter from the rain with my family and we loved it! very familiar atmosphere and excellent service.

We just went for coffee and hot chocolate. Spectacular attention. The food attracted a lot of attention, I will buy next time. The coffee and hot chocolate are very delicious! It is a highly recommended site!

place is not dog friendly , you afe only allowed outside of shop if you have a dog , so cant see how that is dog friendly

Food was stunning staff were lovely and amazing customer service

Nice environment and some good food. While most of the staff are friendly enough some aren’t great at giving you what you order e.g ordered a side salad of green leaves only and got tomatoes, sweet corn, red and yellow peppers ........ On another occasion ordered latte with semi skimmed milk ( they refuse to do skimmed milk) and had to stop the staff making it with full fat milk !! Also, some staff don’t make a latte nearly as hot as it should be. So room for improvement on the staff training front!!

Probably the best views of the sea you will ever get at any Bob and Bert's anywhere. We sat in a window seat facing the sea watching the world go by whilst having a meal a really nice lunch chilling out. We had chicken wraps, and burgers both with skinny fries and smoothies really tasty and cooked well. The restaurant is clean and well maintained seeing it is always busy. The smoothies were delicious just wish rum was an option to add ! Ideal lunch place with a view of sea. We had 1 wrap & fries, 1 burger & fries and 2 smoothies £29 a good value lunch.

Went for breakfast on a Saturday morning, ordered toast and sausages for a child and a juice £8 very expensive for the single items. Had a fry myself, eggs not cooked properly, nothing special at all. Air con was on full blast, and it was freezing, given that it wasn't warm outside, it seems strange to have is on so cold inside. Very disappointing visit. Staff all very pleasant

Nearly fainted when they said 4.25 for a chai lattee. But it was the best I ever had so i quess it was nice treat

Expensive £8 odd for 2 pancakes 4 slices of back bacon, not cooked properly. Won't be back😞

Wanted a coffee and just a simple tray bake..2 coffee and 1 tray bake later £15.50....rip off...how can they charge these prices

Myself and my two kids went to the portstewart one this evening, as per usual the cutlery was disgusting so i took it back the one of the staff to get clean ones, another member of staff asked was i looking for something and told them that the cutlery was filthy and whole tub of it was dirty. They then took all the cutlery away to maybe to wash it. They brought me back fresh cutlery but it was as bad as the first ones even the drinking glasses where dirty. This place need a deep clean and new glasses and cutlery. I wonder what behind the kitchen is like and even where the bins come onto the footpath the dirt is horrendous. Wont be back

Great holiday atmosphere and friendly efficient staff

Just want to thank the owner/ staff for staying open later than normal last week to accommodate all our last night chats with friends. The food was excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Thanks very much.

Disappointed in this branch, we were served at the till quickly but had to wait ages on the food being brought to our table. I had the avocado and halloumi brioche which contained very little bacon or halloumi and my son had what was described as a pancake stack but was actually only 2 pancakes which in my opinion isn't a 'stack' and was expensive for how little food was on the plate!

Truly awful coffee. Great ice cream.

Just popped in for a quick bite. Great selection of Northern Ireland food. We had the pulled pork loaded fries and it was very good. It’s basically self service, you order, pay, collect your cutlery, find a seat and they bring your food to your table. Water dispenser available. Toilets too. Have been many times before at different locations and never been disappointed.

Ordered pancakes and bacon with maple syrup and latte .latte was great but one of two pancakes was hard .bacon had more fat than meat and was barely cooked . So disappointed as I usually enjoy Bob and beats food .

Only thing I could fault was the loud music blaring through the speakers. Having to repeat myself when ordering.

Great spot for a light lunch, a scone or pastry. Oooh, and the coffee ain't half bad either.

Always come here on a Sunday afternoon for coffee and it is lovely wee place. The only thing I find that lets the place down is the distinct smell of urine in the toilets. I know they are heavily used but the smell is off putting. Sorry guys this really needs sorted!!!

I love Bob and berts coffee but I'm not a fan of their food. I will say on this occasion Portstewart Bob and Berts surprised me on the food side I enjoyed it more than other B and Bs I've been in. Coffee as you would expect lovely. Nice quiet atmosphere . Staff very nice

Called in on a wet windy day,for coffee, tea and pastry. All went down a treat.

I am allergic to dogs and daughter is terrified of dogs, unfortunately there was 4 in when we were in on Monday didn't know dogs were allowed in to the restaurant. basic hygiene is keep dogs away from food and not everyone likes dogs can't Imagine I will return again

Lovely cafe, an excellent choice on the menu. Staff super friendly and all helpful. And for us Dog Friendly which meant a lot

High footfall, for such a bad weather day - quick service though and the food was good enough fare, staff were courteous and well organised

There was 2 dogs in premises and one was barking all the time , made the stay very miserable , went in to relax over a coffee and it was far from relaxing .

Food and service ok'ish Music too loud, not really able to talk at the table.

Had tea and icecream which was very nice but something needs to be done about the staff. Left standing at icecream counter for quite a while and then barely spoke to when getting served. Then moved to till to collect tea and pay bill. Again practically ignored by another member of staff. Told price and that was it. Not another word spoken. Won't be back. Will go to the other icecream parlours in Portstewart from now on. (Visited on 07/09/22 around 7.45pm)

Good cafe & food okay. Good on different dietary needs The vegan breakfast was under and over cooked (had 2), but the waffles with chocolate and marshmallows were delicious.

Brothers Mac & Derrick were the only reason I left any star!! Fantastic lads! Food dismal, couldn’t even poach an egg even when we sent them back the egg that returned was worse than previous two!! Someone needs to teach them basic cooking skills. Waffles were not to kids liking either so will stick to their coffee! Thanks also goes to Holly & Nicole
