The Dolphin Portrush in Coleraine

The Dolphin do an amazing Pasty it's got all the right ingredients including a bit of spice. Bernie and Bronagh are two very amazing people and nothing is too much trouble for them. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Was not impressed with the food chips were horrible chicken fillet burger was a joke it was that small the beef burgers were thicker must cut them in half and make 2 out of them won't be back

Delicious fish and chips! HUGE portion size. Can't really rate the atmosphere since it's a takeaway, but it is very clean and staff are friendly and helpful.

I arrived on the 17th of June as a tourist and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I approached one of the women for dog friendly areas and all the staff helped me out. Also from myself working in catering I am very pleased to see the cleanliness in the establishment. Food was made to go and not left sitting in the heat. Which I am pleased with. I am very pleased with the food, staff and y. I look forward on coming back. I did not getting any of the two women’s names sadly. But I heard them mention the young boys name Olly/Ollie. Thank you to you and the two women.

Worst chippy in the whole of northern ireland, avoid at all costs

Went in as seen it said award winning fish and chips. Expecting a really good chippy. Not sure what awards they’re winning for pre made goujons like something from Iceland and those Tony’s chippy pasties you also get in Iceland. Had ordered kids meals and acc thought the goujons were part of the kids “dippers meals” asked the girl she said they were my goujons. I then asked to see the pastie and said to her is this all bought in she said yes. Got full order refunded and went elsewhere. Honestly wouldn’t have eat it if it was free. Looked stinking.

Enjoyed a battered sausage supper, and the chips were good. A wee bit overpriced at £5.90 but the quality was excellent

Gone to the dogs, chips were bordering on inedible. Was so looking forward to this but badly disappointed. Historically one of the best Seaside chippies, but now its very very poor. Slow service as well. I ordered a Hawaian Burger and it can with tomato relish on the pineapple??????

We got out of here on Saturday and have to say service with a smile very welcoming considering the girl was on her own and busy I got for my missus and two kids fish was beautiful very nice definitely come again only thing I would say is curry was lovely although like water good flavour tho also batter could have been a bit crisper tbh also chicken gougons were lovely credit to the company very nice service with a smile will be back

We decided to get a takeout of fish and chips and goujons and eat along the East strand. The food was delicious and price is standard for a fish super. The only issue I had was the portion size was quite small.

I had a cod supper, there wasn’t much fish inside the batter and it was over cooked and rubbery. It’s hard to understand how a chip shop at the coast can sell such poor fish when I can buy a far tastier and better quality of fish 70 miles inland at a local chip shop and for a better price?

Had the cod goujons special with a side of curry. the mushy peas were overly salty and I could only bear to eat half of it. everything else (fish and chips and curry sauce) was fantastic. Staff were friendly and service was quick.

Disappointed with the meal. Sausages tasted off and the chips were full of hard ends and black bits. I've tasted better so most of the portion went to the gulls at the beach.

It is absolutely delicious. I'm very fussy about my fish and chips.

When it said 8oz steak burger on the menu I did not expect 2 X 4 Oz burgers. It's not the same thing. Burgers cut in half to see if it's cooked rather than using a temperature probe ensuring the thing falls apart when you try to eat it. Chips were very nice.

We are over from Glasgow for a few days and being our first night, we thought we would get a chippy. We placed our order and while there wasn't anything ready to go, we didn't mind waiting. What I will say is the food was worth the wait. The food was grease free and the fish n chips were crunchy but soft inside. Very pleased with our decision to order from The Dolphin.

Have had fish and chips many times from here and the quality was good. Had a delivery of fish and chips on Tuesday 15.06.21 the chips were good but the fish was hard and dried up. Serving up low quality produce dose more harm than good. I will be watching closely in future

We ordered 5 cheeseburgers with 3 with tomato relish 2 with tomato sauce.we got 5 burgers plain !

I looked up gluten free chips in this area and the dolphin came up immediately. When we went in to order we were told that the chips were gluten free but cooked in the same oil as battered food. This means they are NOT gluten free!! People who are coeliac could become very ill. Better just to say you don't have chips for those with allergies!😥

We were down at Barry's and opted for this little place as it was a little out of town and would not be as busy. Relied on the reviews already there and we weren't disappointed! Great food.

Unfortunately i have to say we will not be back. Food was very greasy and it ended up in the bin. One in the party could not eat their sausages as they had alot of hard fat bits in them. Another one asked to have a McDonalds as they did eat the burger.
