I found myself having missed lunch with a long time to go till evening meal....and noticed this little gem on the other side of the road. 45 minutes later I was walking out the beneficiary of a superb coronation chicken sandwich (plus salad and coleslaw) and rejuvenating pot of tea. The price was a steal as well. Forget the chains and multiples, one-off businesses like this, passionate about what they do, win every time.
Sadly we experienced an awful night here for my dad’s birthday. Dreadful service. We were told we weren’t booked in and left waiting around when we were. When they realised their mistake there was very little by way of an apology. It was apparently all a big joke! Then we were taken to our table which was so crammed that a lady was sat with her back to us between myself and my father. Our order wasn’t taken for forty minutes and the waiter went to other tables first and they actually ended up sending him over to us. One waiter came over and I smiled at him thinking he was going to take our order when he turned his back on me and actually walked off!
Has a new owner who makes fantastic sandwiches well. Both panini’s were well cooked and so full of flavour. The beef salad was huge, very fresh and had everything. Give it a try
¡volveremos!
Little Shack, was a perfect watering and feeding hole for us! In Port Mac for two nights we ended up enjoying three meals there.
Staff, specially Genevieve, were outstanding, well done owner…. you have nailed “ team work!”
Down to water bowls being brought to your table for your thirty pooch.
Food was “ yum bum” and very affordable.
Check out Sunday arvos, DJ and great drink deals!
BTW we are in our 60’s not 20’s
We will be back !!!!
Was walking past as usual to nip into the Nat West on Great Underbank done that for over 5 yrs never knew until today it was a little cafe / public bakery selling to the public.
Never wanted to intrude or go in as to disturb the staff as saw that some they were learning difficulties and obviously doing an amazing job teaching the guys how to bake, so always had a nosy in but never visited until today.
Popped in as inquisitive as usual and ended up purchasing 2 vegan sausage rolls and loaf of brown bread which when I tucked into later were the best ever.
Incredible place my go to from now on
Literalmente todo es genial y las chicas son tan adorable. También tortas vegetariana deliciosa! Normalmente un zumo de zanahoria y jengibre verde o ambos son deliciosos.
The Forge Coffee Shop at Garden Home 2 Selby Road, England
A great place, good food and fab coffee.
The coffee shop has now closed and a car sales garage has opened, if in need of a new car do call in, great service, good pricing.
We have a beer shop in Bury St Edmunds that was reviewed as being "the best" and although it's outstanding with fantastic service etc it's not a patch on Otters tears. Their selection of beers and knowledge of them is second to non. Best of all is it's online shop, beers from everywhere. Phil the owner is a real connasseur, friendly and. approachable. From an introduction level to the more educated pallet something for everyone. Fantastic place
Lovely little spot, friendly lady and her husband. Great coffee, and ice cream depends on the weather.
We always call when we walk or cycle the canal. Never had a bad experience here.
Shame it's closed in Winter, but can't deny the owners a bit of time off.
Worth noting......only cash or bank transfer.
Look forward to visiting again in Spring.
