We have a beer shop in Bury St Edmunds that was reviewed as being "the best" and although it's outstanding with fantastic service etc it's not a patch on Otters tears. Their selection of beers and knowledge of them is second to non. Best of all is it's online shop, beers from everywhere. Phil the owner is a real connasseur, friendly and. approachable. From an introduction level to the more educated pallet something for everyone. Fantastic place

I ordered a selection of Christmas beer from here - and what a selection it is. Phil left a voicemail to explain he didn’t have 1 bottle in that I’d ordered. I asked him to surprise me with something, in return knowing I’d ordered barrel aged beers I got a superb treat in the form of Fullers Vintage 2016. Ordered on a sunday, and arrived Wednesday, not bad at all considering he was closed Monday. Fantastic selection, brilliant service and great delivery. Would recommend anyone to buy here, and have done already to my friends.

This is a superb beer shop where the owner has an extensive knowledge of his products and is always willing to help if required. It doesn't matter whether you're a novice or connoisseur - there will be something of interest for you.

This is a great little bottle shop, combining 2 keg taps pouring very interesting beers on draught, with a superb range of bottled beers and ciders. The keg beers are quite likely to be rare for the area, which isn't a surprise given that the folk behind the shop are well-known beer blogger Phil @filrd and his better half, Rachel. The bottle and can beer range (yes, I did say can!) is superb. Phil's knowledge is both broad and deep, allowing rare access to some breweries not seen locally. Beer shelves are kept well-stocked with a surprisingly wide variety from UK, Belgium and further afield. From table beer to Imperial stout, you will find something to suit your taste. Stop for a while to chew the fat with Phil, Rachel or any of the sometimes familiar faces helping out, and you'll soon find a half hour pit stop has become a couple of hours friendly chat, mainly of the beery variety. Recommended for multiple visits!
